This is a truly fantastic hotel I’d definitely stay in again. It’s just off of Nanluoguxing, a busy tourist street with all kinds of food to try but is incredibly quiet. It’s a great location, within easy walking distance of many attractions in the Hutongs. There’s a metro station close by which is super easy to use with all the signs and announcements repeated in English. However if you get a taxi it might be best to get them to drop you off at the top of Nanluoguxing as getting a taxi into the Hutong isn’t always easy and it’s only 5 minutes from there to the hotel.
My favourite thing is a little shaded outside area with some tables. Absolutely beautiful.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. No issues communicating with those of them who don’t speak English, as they will whip out a phone and translate anything they need to tell you! They have me some free fruit when I checked in and as the weather heated up they doubled the number of bottles of water they gave me each day which was a lovely touch.
It was over 30 degrees when I stayed but the air conditioning works brilliantly. That and an incredible bed made for a very comfortable nights sleep.
