Location is great, room is great with the sea views. Coffee area in the hall is great. The front desk needs a bit training. We were charged for $50 deposit but was not refunded yet after in 5 days. We have been chasing this but no result yet.

Great pool, very clean , excellent breakfast , yummy cocktails , dinner was amazing.  Only one thing bad was the pool sun lounges, the are very uncomfortable I had to sit in a bean bag.  Just to add gluten free eating for coeliacs was great seperate toaster for breaky and freshly cooked eggs and bacon on request. Very happy !!

Very comfortable night sleep, room was clean staff were helpful. Please note the lift is currently under construction so you may need to use the stairs, the stairs are not suitable for children as they have horizontal rails with large gaps. The restraunts buffet looked like it had a decent selection but we did not have it as it was $16each our two and three year olds.

La mejor ubicación en Cairns, a pocos pasos del puerto deportivo, restaurantes por todas partes, a 5-10 minutos a pie del centro con restaurantes coreanos, centro comercial a 15 minutos a pie, laguna, playa exterior, piscina a pocos minutos, ubicación increíble, no puedo recomendarlo lo suficiente. El hotel era agradable, teníamos acceso al club, lo cual no puedo recomendar lo suficiente, desayuno y canapés por la tarde, cervezas, vino y algunos licores, todo incluido. Lo pasamos de maravilla, Cairns fue genial en general. Primera vez que visito Cairns, no será la última.

Had a wonderful stay at Pacific Hotel Cairns. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city with easy access to the Esplanade, night markets, and fun attractions like the Ferris wheel. Everything is within walking distance, which made exploring Cairns so easy and enjoyable. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Evenings around the area are lively, with great food options nearby street food vibes, and a beautiful atmosphere. Overall, a great place to stay if you want comfort, convenience, and to truly enjoy the Cairns experience. Would definitely stay here again!

Staff were friendly and offered a good service, pool was too warm, minor I know, but when it’s 32deg and 90% humidity It matters. Our aircon leaked but the staff sorted it out quickly and no further issues.

The unit is adequate for my family of six for a 3-night stay. Basic necessities are generally met, and the overall stay was acceptable. However, there were several maintenance and usability issues that affected comfort. Some air-conditioning remotes were faulty or missing batteries, requiring us to swap between rooms to find working ones. The telephone/RJ45 connection head was also broken and left dangling, with wiring not properly connected, which gave a poor impression of upkeep. In terms of sleeping comfort, the beds are quite soft and the pillows offer very little support. The positioning of the electrical wall outlets behind the bed also made it inconvenient, as we had to shift the bed forward to access the sockets. For kitchen use, it would be helpful to provide basic dishwashing supplies such as a small bottle of dishwashing liquid and a sponge, especially when only a few items are used in the dishwasher. On a positive note, the bathroom facilities are in good condition. Water pressure is strong and hot water is consistently available, which made showers comfortable. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there is clear room for improvement in maintenance and basic guest amenities.

Great hotel at a great price. Big, clean room with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The pool was also great and refreshing. Walking distance to all restaurants and major shops. They make good coffee in the hotel bar too! They don’t clean your room for stays of less than 7 nights, but we were able to get clean towels daily if we wanted them. Friendly staff and overall a great home for us while we visited Cairns!

En general, nuestra estancia fue agradable, pero la política de limpieza nos pareció muy extraña. No hay servicio de limpieza a menos que se pague por él (o se reserve una estancia de 8 días). Podíamos cambiar las toallas en recepción, pero nos pidieron que sacáramos nuestra propia basura y no pudimos aspirar después de una larga estancia. Solo tiene pan, frutas y algunas bebidas. Se requiere un depósito aparte de 50 AUD al momento del check-in, o 100 AUD en efectivo.
