Hoteles en Cairns con balcón

Me alojé en el Hotel Christopher Bailey durante 11 noches y tengo que agradecer a la recepcionista, Kane (Xiaolin). Esta chica de Hong Kong habla mandarín con fluidez y no solo nos ayudó a encontrar la parada de autobús y a confirmar los horarios, sino que también fue excepcionalmente paciente con nuestro amigo japonés, Kobayashi, que no habla mandarín. Su sonrisa era increíblemente cálida. En cambio, otra recepcionista japonesa se mostró indiferente y nos limitó a pedir prestado solo un paraguas entre dos personas; una experiencia completamente diferente. El atento servicio de Xiaolin fue una gran ventaja, ¡y sin duda me alojaré aquí de nuevo la próxima vez que esté en Cairns!

Primero, es más pequeño que el Riley. Normalmente, el precio sube en ese orden: Bailey < Flynn < Riley, pero ayer, el Riley Ring Flynn tenía el mismo precio... Debería haber elegido el Riley... Es un hotel moderno (?) con un ambiente juvenil. Y si es posible, pide una habitación en la Torre Esplanade. Estuve en la Torre Abbott... y la vista era del hotel de al lado. Jajaja. La habitación estaba increíblemente húmeda, así que si apagabas el aire acondicionado aunque fuera un momento... olía raro. Se oía música alta afuera hasta después de las 3 de la madrugada (estaba en el cuarto piso). Fui de vacaciones, ¡pero no pienso volver!

El hotel fue extremadamente amable con el cliente. Habíamos reservado una habitación con vista al mar y al principio no nos la asignaron. Cuando fuimos a que nos la corrigieran, no solo nos asignaron una habitación con vista al mar, sino que también nos dieron desayuno gratis durante dos días. El personal fue increíblemente amable. La ubicación era muy conveniente. En general, fue una estancia fantástica.

Esperaba mucho, pero me decepcionó un poco. Había manchas en la alfombra, polvo y una tetera que no funcionaba. Lo único bueno fue la vista. Y cuando pagas $450 por noche, te cobran por aparcar. No valió la pena.

A well positioned Hotel on the airport end of the esplanade. Room was spacious & comfortable, bathroom was clean & had great shower. Food both at breakfast & the bar menu in the evening was delicious with a good choice, would recommend the steaks + there’s no a good wine selection in accompaniment. Staff are all very welcoming, knowledgeable & helpful with local tour advice. We had a thoroughly pleasant stay here & wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Las instalaciones de las habitaciones son completas, las toallas y la ropa de cama son nuevas y de buena calidad. Hay ollas de cocina, microondas y estufas de gas. Puedes comprar algunos ingredientes para el desayuno, fideos y tortilla. Está convenientemente ubicado cerca de supermercados y centros comerciales. . Se tarda 20 minutos a pie desde el muelle de cruceros y pasa por la animada zona del centro de la ciudad. En el camino, podrá visitar pequeñas tiendas y disfrutar del paisaje a lo largo de la calle. El único inconveniente es que el balcón de la habitación en la que nos alojamos daba a la zona de carga y descarga de un centro comercial fuera de la comunidad, lo cual no era lo suficientemente silencioso. Además, la comunidad está dividida en tres plantas y no hay ascensor. Si reservas el tercer piso, te resultará un poco difícil subir las escaleras si tu equipaje es demasiado pesado. Lo último a tener en cuenta es que aunque las instrucciones de reserva dicen que la recepción está abierta las 24 horas del día, la recepción todavía tiene horario de cierre después de salir del trabajo. Los arreglos para dejar el equipaje en el hotel todavía nos devanan los sesos.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Esplanade, with only a 10–15 minute walk to Cairns Mall. The staff were helpful and accommodating, which made the stay pleasant. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was slow and not always reliable.

The unit is adequate for my family of six for a 3-night stay. Basic necessities are generally met, and the overall stay was acceptable. However, there were several maintenance and usability issues that affected comfort. Some air-conditioning remotes were faulty or missing batteries, requiring us to swap between rooms to find working ones. The telephone/RJ45 connection head was also broken and left dangling, with wiring not properly connected, which gave a poor impression of upkeep. In terms of sleeping comfort, the beds are quite soft and the pillows offer very little support. The positioning of the electrical wall outlets behind the bed also made it inconvenient, as we had to shift the bed forward to access the sockets. For kitchen use, it would be helpful to provide basic dishwashing supplies such as a small bottle of dishwashing liquid and a sponge, especially when only a few items are used in the dishwasher. On a positive note, the bathroom facilities are in good condition. Water pressure is strong and hot water is consistently available, which made showers comfortable. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there is clear room for improvement in maintenance and basic guest amenities.

Great hotel at a great price. Big, clean room with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The pool was also great and refreshing. Walking distance to all restaurants and major shops. They make good coffee in the hotel bar too! They don’t clean your room for stays of less than 7 nights, but we were able to get clean towels daily if we wanted them. Friendly staff and overall a great home for us while we visited Cairns!

The Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.
