Si buscas paz y tranquilidad, un trato familiar y amable, este es tu hotel. Precioso espacio decorado con mucho gusto en el que poder descansar y disfrutar con todos los sentidos. Un placer desayunar junto al jardín de lotos. Para cenar preparan un buen menú de cocina khmer. La única pega, que quizás para algunos sea una ventaja, es que está lejos del centro. Ida y vuelta en tuk-tuk 5 dolares. Si algún día volviéramos a Battambang, sin duda, repetiríamos.

Estuvimos 3 noches en la suitre naranja. Es una habitación enorme construida en una casa jemer tradicional a la que se le ha incoporado una parte de la galeria. El resultado es que parte del suelo es de madera y otra parte de loseta antigua, viendose las vigas. El resultado es fantástico. Está decorada con antigueades y predomina el color rojo y naranja, una de mis gamas de color favoritas. hay dos camas king size y son perfectas para alj**** en familia. Hay un baño rojo precioso lleno de detalles y una terraza con ventilador desde donde se ve el estanque de lotos y la iluminación nocturna del jardín. El paisaje es cuidado y llenos de detales y en general la atmosfera conseguida es perfecta, relajante, calida y acogedora. Nos ayudaron con el transfer desde Siem reap. El desayuno es excelente con mermelada casera. Nos dimos dos masajes en la habitación, hubiese preferido que fueran en el templete del estanque de lotos, pero bueno. El entorno de la piscina da la sensación de haber sufrido dejadez durante el covid. Pero en general se merece un 10. Lo recomiendo y volvería sin dudar. Hubiese querido estar un dia más. Los alrededores son estupendos y destaco al tuk tuk que es muy profesional, nos ayudó mucho y nos enseñó cosas muy interesantes como el temtempié de arroz glutinoso en caña que venden los lugareños.

House staff and owners are super friendly and helpful. Service is outstanding. Strongly recommend eating at the hotel because their chef is excellent and plating is top notch. Rooms are spacious, clean. I got great sleeps. Pool is clear and clean with goid shading even at the peak of the say. Great location but sites in and around Battenbang are spread out so bike, tuk tuk or scooter are necessary for any location.

We’d come to Battambang from Siem Reap and stayed here 3 nights. We stayed in a lovely old Khmer house. Room upstairs. Wide dark polished floorboards, great atmosphere. Hard bed, no improvements after 2 toppers added! Pool area was unkempt. Mucky old cushions and battered chairs and loungers. Fallen foliage everywhere. Plenty of shade, not much sun. Went into town for dinner, about 10 minutes tuktuk ride. It’s a regional city and busy, population struggling to eke a living. Riverside nothing of note, the row of ‘old French houses’ looked almost late Victorian. Excellent breakfasts , the BEST COFFEE by miles. Fab ambience looking over the pond. Struggled with the two evening meals we had here, can’t rave about any of the tastes and flavours as it was all a trifle bland and ‘westernised’ probably to suit the clientele? I guess if you were to go to Battambang (can’t imagine why!) this place is an oasis compared to outside, but it is all relative and for a desperately poor country the hosts have done well to provide some civilisation at this location.

We stayed for 2 nights. The staff could not have been more friendly. The service was attentive and kind. The food was delicious, and interesting. The pool was delicious, but lacks shade when you’re in it. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The room L4 was spacious, with a nice bathroom. The AC struggled, but it was over 40C, and there was a very good ceiling fan, Highly recommended.

This was the hotel stay we enjoyed the most on our recent trip through Cambodia and into N Vietnam. MWK - for us - was a magical destination offering the best of proximity to town, but with a uniquely rural/jungle ambience. The room was fabulous, the massage was refreshingly unforgiving, the coffee was the best tasted on tour and the people were every bit as fabulous as all other aspects. The pool too was great, despite what an earlier poster had to say about the state of the loungers etc.. They worked well enough for us. To sit at breakfast watching over the beaufiful, natural water feature and not to be bitten to death by mosquitoes was a treat indeed. Thankyou to all the team for making our stay so memorable. We will certainly recommend MWK to any friend contemplating a trip to Battambang.
