SSpizzico• room: clean bedsheets and pillows, very dusty AC and overall an average double room. Shared bathrooms are overall clean
• amenities: they have a relax and dining common area with pool and table tennis which is big enough to give privacy and also to allow interaction with the other people. Overall the hostel attracts good people and a lot live there for long stay but still very friendly
• location: 20min walk from the main commercial road, there is a supermarket 8 min walking distance which is open 7 days until early evening. Beach is 40 min away and easy to reach with transportation
• staff: nothing to note
my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I just review objectively what I see with no judgement

UUsuario invitadoIt was a lovely 2-night stay in the Oceanview Twin Room. We were offered an upgrade for just $20 a day to enjoy a balcony, definitely worth it! Loved the location, so close to shops with plenty of food and drink options. The kids and I also had a great time relaxing in the heated pool and spa, even in the cold weather.

The service response is fast from the frontdesk. However, room cleanliness is very much lacking
1. There was a plastic wrapper and chuck of dust dirt at corner of room when I check in. The following day after cleanup was done and I return to room in late afternoon. Wrapper and dust remains untouch at corner. I have to call the front desk to ensure following day cleaning team will vaccum and do a proper clean up.
2. Air vent above the shower area was filled and clot up with black dirt. I just avoid looking at it as disgusting
3. There are dead insects stuck on the shower door rubber strip. I tried to wash it away but as need to pull out the seal I left it and again avoid eye contact.🤮
4. Pillow case has brown stains at ths edge. I had to request for a new piece.
Additionally the mattress has dents and clumpy, so I was unable to sleep as feeling itchy through out night with images of dirt insects flashing through my thoughts.
Coupled with the loud music and noises from below. I reserve the rooms more than 3 months before trip and request for high floor as saw reviews on the noise. BUT was not block for us so end up on the 2nd floor.
I wont stay in this hotel again.

UUsuario invitadoThis is a great location and i enjoyed my stay albeit a couple of niggles. The shape of the room meant the TV was so far away from the bed. It seemed positioned perfectly to watch TV from the bath, but id rather have a comfortable viewing from the bed. It also meant two of us squeezed on to one side of the b
Bed to be able to see the TV. The mattress was also uncomfortable and clearly needs replacing. It sloped one side and had a big bump in the centre.
Overall a good hotel but I wouldn't stay in that specific room again.

UUsuario anónimoWe checked into HotelMotel late in the evening and picked up the keys from the reception at Hotel Alba next door. It was a short walk to the motel. The group operates 3 hotels that are adjacent to each other including the Terrace Hotel on South Terrace which is the southern border of Adelaide City. The hotel has rooms on 2 floors surrounding a central carpark on 3 sides. Parking is free for HotelMotel guest whereas guests have to pay extra for secure parking at the other 2 hotels. HotelMotel has been recently renovated and won some awards for its upgrade. There are no lifts and bags need to be carried up a flight of stairs if your room is on the upper floor. The surroundings were very quiet which enabled us to have a good sleep. The room was comfortable and the bathroom modern. We would stay again on our next trip to Adelaide. There are not many options for places to eat late at night except for the Pulteney Pokies place around the corner which had friendly and helpful staff.

UUsuario invitadoI didn't realise it was stair access only. This wasn't made obvious when I booked or I would have avoided it. Because I have 2 extremely bad knees and cannot do stairs this made it very hard for me. By the time I walked down to there, walked up the outside steps it was too late when I saw the inside steps to go back because my knees were done.
Heater not working so by the time I realised this on the first night I physically wasn't able to walk back again. But when I reported this on Tuesday night there was instant action and the issue was resolved. Heater on, but it was VERY loud when running.
Not much space to sit and relax. If there were 4 guests there is literally not enough room in the couch/fridge/tv area to accommodate. And one of the luxurious things about staying in a hotel room is sitting in bed and watching TV which is impossible here.
It has been years since I've stayed in a hotel or motel room that does not supply shampoo/conditioner so this was a surprise.
Fridge door jammed, had to push it hard to close.

They also have an interesting buffet offering for 20 dollars, i haven't tried it out, but i heard it quite nice.

UUsuario invitadoAs I was going to be leaving from the Parklands Train Terminal early in the morning this hotel was perfectly situated for my trip. Although I wasn't at the hotel for very long only about 12hrs overnight it was a good location and the room faced the parking so meant it was quieter as well and didn't get the hot afternoon sun either. I would say though there was no pricelist I could find for the mini-bar, not that I used it was only thinking of grabbing some cold water that was in the fridge. The one thing I wasn't a fan was the spa tub/shower combo. The jets need a serious clean all around them but then even standing in it meant anyone tall as in 6'5” plus may have to bend down. I would think they should rip out the spa tub and put in a nicer rain shower shower stall instead maybe just provide spa tubs in rooms that you can also put a shower stall into.
I'd stay here again mainly for the location as it's also right across the street from the big park area which was fantastic to walk around on a warm evening after dinner at the pub up the street.
