Saint George Palace Aparthotel

Precioso apartotel, todo muy limpio y espacioso. A la cocina le faltaba vajilla, por lo que no pudo cocinar nada hasta que la recepción organizó la entrega de una cacerola, etc. Bobby, el barman, fue una gran fuente de información y muy útil. Pasé unas agradables veladas charlando y descubriendo la zona y los lugares a donde ir. La piscina estaba bien, pero fría, lo que significaba que todos los niños iban a la bañera de hidromasaje, por lo que no podían usar esta instalación. Sauna y baño de vapor muy limpios y agradables. La comida del servicio de habitaciones y de la zona del bar era razonable y sabrosa.

El hotel y nuestra habitación son uno de los lugares más atractivos en los que me he alojado en Bulgaria, sin embargo, todavía es promedio. Tomó entre 5 y 10 minutos abrir la ducha antes de que estuviera lo suficientemente caliente para usarla. Perdí algo y al revisar debajo de la cama había mucho polvo espeso y ¡hasta un trozo de comida viejo! Mi almohada era tan plana y suave que cada mañana me despertaba con dolor de cuello. Sólo había un gancho para toallas en el baño, así que tuve que secar las toallas en el sofá. Nos cobraron 50 lev adicionales para poder usar la cocina pequeña de nuestra habitación... y la variedad de sartenes que proporcionaban era limitada (había dos hornillas y todas las sartenes eran tan grandes que solo se podía usar una a la vez, y no había paños de cocina). fue proporcionado, así que tuvimos que secar todo con una de las 2 toallas de baño). Además, solo se proporcionaron 2 toallas, lo que no es útil para las mujeres, ya que necesitamos una para la cabeza y otra para el cuerpo, además de una toalla de mano. Y lo más frustrante para dos veganos fue que el restaurante no tenía más opciones veganas que ensalada verde… ¡Aunque no todo estuvo mal! El personal fue muy acogedor, servicial y educado en todas las ocasiones. Proporcionaron una toalla de mano de repuesto cuando la solicitaron a la llegada (aunque no fue reemplazada cuando las cambiaron). La cama era bastante cómoda (si te gusta la espuma viscoelástica) y los calentadores mantenían la habitación caliente. El uso del spa estaba incluido en el precio, que estaba limpio. Había dos platos, tazones (los tazones más pequeños que he visto en mi vida), tazas, vasos y cubiertos, además de una tetera. Y también un frigorífico-congelador que funcione. El hotel está a unos diez minutos a pie de la góndola, lo cual está bien si vas a la ciudad por la noche. Había un servicio de transporte disponible cada 30 minutos por la mañana y por la tarde, sin embargo, el último era a las 5 p. m., por lo que a menudo acortábamos nuestro tiempo en la montaña para no tener que caminar de regreso (cuesta arriba). Regresar por la noche después del anochecer no fue una experiencia agradable, estaba completamente oscuro y se sentía inseguro para dos mujeres solitarias, así que considere dinero extra para un taxi si se queda aquí. El precio por 7 noches fue realmente bueno; Fue una pena que tuviéramos que pagar extra para poder cocinar/comer en nuestra habitación. Consideraría quedarme aquí nuevamente si no pudiera encontrar un hotel mejor a un precio razonable, pero si los precios son similares probablemente probaría en otro lugar.

El personal es increíble y servicial en todas las áreas. Algunas áreas del hotel necesitan una actualización, nuestro apartamento de 2 habitaciones tenía insectos dentro y no se limpió adecuadamente. La limpieza diaria implicaba hacer las camas y sacar la basura, pero ni siquiera fregar o cepillar. La zona del spa es buena, pero el olor a cloro era bastante fuerte. Comida normal, con suficiente para elegir y sabrosa, pero nada especial. El transporte es adecuado y gratuito. Está un poco más alejado de la ciudad, ¡así que consulta tus mapas antes de reservar! En general es un buen hotel con algunas áreas que necesitan mejoras.

We had a two bedroom apartment with kitchen, which was great for a family of three. The bathrooms were a bit worn but there was cleaning every day and the apartment was spacious. Comfortable beds and good sleeping quality. We prepared our own breakfast but did not use cooking facilities. The hotel restaurant had good food and it was good value for money. We rented skis at the hotel and the man in the shop was very helpful. The swimming pool was nice, although it gets crowded at peak hours.

We visited the St George for a group ski Holliday, the hotel was brilliant and accommodated excellently. We would highly recommend it. What really made our stay special was the bar tender Bobby who was an absolute please to speak to and made us feel welcome, his stories were hilarious and we look forward to seeing him on the next trip.

I would like to thank my lucky stars I landed at this heavenly haven so I can have the greatest active vacation in Bansko. Saint George Palace Aparthotel Bansko is tucked away in an awesome location that is so convenient for skiing, close to the gondola (about 800 meters). The place is unpretentious and beautiful, but what is most beautiful are the people who work there. The level of hospitality blew me away – thank you Misho; everything began with you, your professionalism, and a heart-warming smile. I will never forget your kindness and hope to see you again. We stayed here recently from 12th to 19th of March. I have booked us an apartment, which was meant for me with a replica of Van Gog’s Starry Night in the bedroom :) The 1-bedroom apartment was really neat with a large balcony and a nice bathroom that had a bathtub and a shower cabin which is so cool when you are on vacation  The spa is lovely, with a big sauna that has a glass wall and a nice big pool great for swimming with a glass roof. If you are lucky enough you will witness a cat sitting or running on it  I can honestly say that this place has the best masseuses in Bansko from my experience, especially because I also worked as one during my studies so believe me when I say that I am a tough crowd to please :) Georgi Paklarski has given me the best massages ever – I had a whole body massage with a candle and later on a partial massage for tired legs. The fact that we were talking and laughing good part of the massages, and the quality of the massage never suffered is amazing so kudos to you Georgi my friend and if you are wondering, I wanted to talk and say Thank you over and over again  So thank you, Georgi, once again :D I had a Whole body detoxifying ritual with Katarina; she was super gentle which was just what I needed for that day. And then there is Raia, absolutely the best female masseuse in my life. I was finally in hands like mine, but they were not mine and I could relax and enjoy myself. Therefore, do not be a fool and book at least one treatment for yourself with these amazing people. You will be in great hands, that is for sure! The food was nice, as well as the staff. Shout-out to Nadia Osevichina and the rest of the team :) During our visit, we had set menus for dinner and a buffet for breakfast. There were enough good choices on set many for dinner. Only on our last night, the hotel was full enough to have a buffet for dinner, and FYI this is not a complaint  Thank you all you beautiful people for providing fantastic service and a lesson in hospitality. This is our second stay in St George. Love everything and will definitely will stay again when we go to Bansko. I won’t change it for anything. It has everything necessary to relax, eat, rest, recover after the hike, drink after dinner…superb.

I arrived at the Saint George Hotel at the end of February, and stayed until March 7 and it was snowing enough to cover a car. It was snowing all the time and it was super beautiful. The hotel was nice, clean, and very warm in the room. The only problem was with the opening of the windows in the room, which have a very strange opening system and upside down from us, otherwise the room was very clean, and it was cleaned almost daily. I had half board, and in the morning at breakfast, I received the same food every day (I stayed 7 days), I was already fed up with the same food (egg, boiled egg, beans, mushrooms, pancakes, milk, cereals, bacon), but in the evening at dinner they changed the menu a little, but not much. In the evening he didn't offer us anything to drink, you had to buy from the bar if you wanted a juice, a water (a juice was 3 levs, a water 2 levs), a little crazy like that, but we managed. What's great about the hotel is that they had a bus that took you to the gondola, and it came pretty fast and it moved pretty fast. The slopes in Bansko are absolutely gorgeous, long, wide, only good to show your talent on the slope.

A group of 11 of us rented two, three bed apartments and one studio. Really impressed with this hotel, your own space to chill and use the spa but also a great breakfast and easy to walk into town. We would stay here again for longer next time, highly recommend.
