Exotic View Cottage

I contacted the hotel via WhatsApp and arranged for a taxi to the pier upon arrival from Bali. The price was around 170k. The room is quite adequate for one person. The bed is good, although some of the pillows had mold, but I don't use hotel pillows anyway; I have my own. The bathrooms are somewhat battered, some quite badly. One of the rooms had a very loud pump noise. The staff is responsive, but there's one odd character. I don't remember his name. He places pillows and other linens on the floor when changing them. Cleaning could be better, but it's not all bad. What I really disliked was the locals burning trash and leaves, resulting in a smell of smoke in the room, and long-term power outages. There was no connection, no AC. Unfortunately, this severely affected my health. Overall, it's okay for the money if you stay in the very first building. I took a manta ray tour offered by the hotel; the price was 450,000.

Good and cheap accommodation. Place is fairly clean. Only problem is there are a lot of animals nearby that make sounds during the night.

Very relaxed and happy experience at nusa penida. The receptionist was really nice and kind with helping everything. Even when I can't find a taxi for trip or visit friends, he could try his best to call for help or ride me a short trip if possible. Breakfast prepared was simple but nice and full of kindness in it. Water shortage happened on the island during my stay, he would go get buckets water one by one so guests can have usable water! it was very considerate of him! (heard some hotels would just let it be) Highly recommend to stay over nights during on the island!

I really enjoyed exotic view cottage. It had great staff, and the ambiance was wonderful. Comfortable beds, and all around a great place to stay. Highly recommend it

Started off with an optimistic mindset as have stayed in many brilliant, cheap and great homestay’s in Bali. We had booked for a few nights to spend in Nusa Penida. This was not necessary realising there wasn’t much to do on the island that was cheap. Encountered a cockroach in the bathroom on the first night. Saw another cockroach in the sink later on during our stay. On to the breakfasts. Not great. Cant say much about them. The rooms were affordable, however we left our stay after three nights as we couldn’t stay any longer. It was beside a school and temple so there were periods which were very noisy, even at night (for 50 minutes at a time) Even though it is close to the sea line, dont be fooled, there is no beach to sit and relax on. The main beach is a 45 minute (fastest) drive away. It is a 10 minute walk to and from the port which we liked. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.
