First, the hotel picked me up at the ferry dock by their own boat, which really helped me relax after a tiring journey. When I arrived, everything felt very new furniture and very big room—especially the bathroom—and the whole place was very clean. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet it was, so I could sleep very well. The owner is also very kind and helped arrange the trips I wanted to go on. I originally booked for just 2–3 nights, but ended up staying for a full 7 days.

Many celebrities have stayed at this hotel, where I enjoyed the view worth seeing from anywhere while staying in a fabulous room. Especially the view of the Nile from the rooms is breathtakingly beautiful. I can't help feeling how much effort goes into maintaining the hotel's facilities, including the garden. Moreover, as an attention to detail, towels in the room are embroidered with the hotel logo, and the cotton package containing the hair dryer is also embroidered with ”Wonderful hair begins with a little wind” . I would like to express my respect to all the people who have continued to put such attention to detail into their work! I would highly recommend this hotel and I look forward to visiting again in the near future!

Vivir en la isla es muy tranquilo y conveniente, y la salida es KFC. Lo principal es la limpieza. El aire acondicionado y la refrigeración son buenos y la terraza tiene una buena vista. Está cerca del restaurante Nubian Dreams, por lo que es conveniente comer comida local. El restaurante Nubian Dreams es uno de los deliciosos restaurantes locales.

We came here for a family trip. From airport drop-off to arrival, everything was seamless and comfortable. The service and cleanliness were top-notch, making us want to stay longer. The Nubian Museum was close enough to walk. It's located in the middle of town, so the road was a bit rough, but other than that, everything was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

A little hard to access by car, but located just a few steps away from the market, as it’s on the edge of the Nubian village. Service overall was ok, with them offering to prepare breakfast boxes for us, as we were heading to Abu Simbel early morning, though dinner service was very slow and staff weren’t as attentive.

El pequeño hotel, situado en la cima de una colina, ofrece vistas al río Nilo. Las habitaciones son relativamente amplias, pero la limpieza deja mucho que desear. El baño estaba bastante sucio y las toallas eran muy viejas. Parece que la limpieza suele ser deficiente en los hoteles egipcios. Las zonas comunes son bastante agradables y el desayuno buffet de estilo occidental era aceptable.

El paisaje es bastante bueno. La actitud del servicio es bastante promedio. Fui a la recepción y pregunté si podía pagar la habitación en libras egipcias, pero fueron muy groseros. No quería cambiar de hotel la segunda noche, así que pregunté sobre la posibilidad de extender mi estadía. La recepción me pidió que volviera a la habitación y me llamaran, pero no recibí ninguna llamada, así que hice el check out directamente. Las habitaciones de este hotel son bastante grandes, pero las instalaciones son relativamente antiguas. Parece que todos son elegidos por los lugareños. Además, debes elegir el número de personas según la situación real. Accidentalmente elegí a una persona y terminé pagando la diferencia de varias docenas de dólares.

Our stay at Benben was a bit of a mixed one. If you are someone who has a lot of time on your hands and you want to take photos for instagram and do not care about water supply/shower issue, this may be the right place for you. On the other hand, if you have travel schedule planned and not too flexible with time (e.g., Abu Simbel day trip) and care about sleep quality, this is not the place for you. We stayed here for 2 nights, on our first day, we arrived around 3pm with sweats and heat exhaustion from our Philae temple visit. After being sent to our room, we realised the water wasn’t working. Hotel told us to wait as they had some water supply issue, after waiting for 5 hours, we called again and were told they are still fixing it and could not tell us an ETA on the fix. With frustration and massive migraine from heat exhaustion and no clear ETA, I figured I had to sleep with sweats and anger. The 2nd issue we encountered was the ferry to the dock. The hotel is on and island which means every time we want to go in and out, we would need to contact the hotel to arrange for the boat for transfer). On the day we need to leave, we were waiting on the boat with a Danish couple but we could not depart after waiting for 20 mins (post the initial agreed departure time). Even though the other couple made a complaint to the hotel staff, they did not care or give a clear answer on when we can leave. Another 20 mins later, we we realised we were waiting for another couple to come onboard (and confirmed with them that they were 20 mins late to their original appointment). At this point, we were already very late to meet our own driver and start our 8 hours trip to Luxor. Most hotel staff could not speak English, the only ones we can communicate to was Nirvana (from front counter) and the restaurant manager. The rest of the staff were not well trained to do basic communication. So… If you have time, ok to deal with the above potential issues (oh…and lots of stairs!), go ahead and you will enjoy the amazing views from the hotel.
