In my recent stay at the Signia Hotel in Atlanta, GA, I encountered several issues that detracted from the overall experience, which did not reflect the premium price paid. Firstly, while the property itself is aesthetically pleasing and the valet staff are consistently welcoming, the retrieval of vehicles was notably slow. Additionally, I discovered that a personal item, a pair of Ray-Ban glasses, was missing from my car, unfortunately without evidence to support a claim due to an unplugged dashcam.
The challenges extended to the front desk service. The staff seemed under-informed, complicating what should have been a straightforward booking process. My intention to book a consecutive two-night stay resulted in needing to make two separate reservations due to an initial oversight. Despite the availability of the room types I booked, I was initially informed that a room change was necessary, which caused significant inconvenience. The situation was later rectified by the manager, Ms. Humphrey, who was accommodating but only intervened after considerable time had been wasted.
Additionally, service delays continued to be a theme; after being told a bellman would assist with our room change, we waited over an hour without follow-up. Such service failures culminated when a fire alarm disrupted our sleep, and a subsequent request for a modest late checkout was denied rudely.
