Really pretty hotel! Lobby was beautiful and so was the room. Location was great. Close to many attractions and tram was just a 4 minute walk away. lighting in the toilet was good. had both rain and handheld. Bed was really soft, though I'm not sure why I slept better without the pillow than with the pillow. would be nice if there were slippers :) sunrise and sunset from my room was very beautiful. but if you go close you can see that the windows are smudgy on the outside sound proofing...is not that good? I could hear housekeeping cleaning other rooms, curtains being pulled open and I could hear a whole man's conversation although it might just have been him speaking louder. To close the door from the outside, you kind of had to pull it shut so it was pretty loud. I had trouble setting up the ironing board and let a note for housekeeping to set it up and they left chocolates, cute!! Also I think I got upgraded to a deluxe because my room ended up on level 19 hehe thank you!

Stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne – Flinders Street for a short city break. The location is excellent, directly opposite Flinders Street Station and within easy walking distance of Federation Square, the Yarra River, restaurants and Melbourne's laneways. The hotel itself is functional rather than impressive. It appears to be a converted office building, which means the layout is a little different from purpose-built hotels and there are no particularly memorable views despite the prime location. The room was comfortable enough, but the finishes and fixtures lacked the polished feel I've experienced at other DoubleTree properties. Business travellers looking for a more premium or contemporary fit-out may find it falls short of expectations. During our stay there was an issue with our baggage, however the staff handled the situation professionally, resolved the problem and provided complimentary drink vouchers as a goodwill gesture, which was appreciated. One disappointment was that the gym was closed during our stay, as this is a facility I normally like to use when travelling. Overall, the hotel's strongest selling point is its outstanding location. It works well as a tourist base for exploring Melbourne, but business travellers who prioritise hotel facilities, room finishes and a more modern feel may prefer some of the newer hotels in the CBD.

While the room was generally clean, some items are starting to look dated — for example, rust on the stainless steel racks. There were also a few maintenance issues, such as a fridge that wasn’t working properly and a chunk of plaster missing from one corner. With a bit of TLC and some updates, this hotel could easily move from good to fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The location is excellent 10-15mins to the centre — trams are just a 2-minute walk away, and there’s a supermarket directly opposite the tram stop where you can also purchase a Myki travel card, making it very convenient to get around. Overall, a spacious and comfortable stay in a well-connected area, with just a few areas that could use some attention.

Walk 5mins to melb central mall, bourke street mall for shopping and little lonsdale street for korean food. Clean and comfortable stay. No kitchen etc in the hotel. We stayed at Vibe Hotel Melbourne Docklands over the weekend and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious, with a lovely view. The bathtub was a real bonus and the range of toiletries provided was excellent. It was super easy to get into the city with a tram stop right out the front. Credit to the management for maintaining such a high standard throughout the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
