Llegamos tarde e íbamos a perder la hora de check-in anunciada, así que llamé con antelación para saber qué hacer. Aunque nadie contestó al teléfono, el contestador automático nos informó de que, si no hacíamos el check-in, dejarían las llaves de la habitación en una caja fuerte fuera de recepción. ¡Esto es una gran ventaja para los viajeros, ya que puede ser muy difícil llevar a cabo los planes de viaje según lo previsto! Las instalaciones de The Lodge, donde nos alojábamos, eran en su mayoría comunes y típicas de un hostal; la gente parecía merodear por los pasillos. Para algunos, esto podía ser una buena forma de socializar o, por el contrario, intimidante. Estas zonas comunes estaban un poco desordenadas y sucias. Nos alojamos en una habitación con baño privado. Era muy básica, con dos camas individuales grandes juntas para formar una cama king. La temperatura de la ducha fluctuaba mucho, pero tuvimos una estancia cómoda. No comimos en el lugar porque nos pareció demasiado caro, pero sí notamos que había una amplia gama de eventos sociales, como un concurso en un pub, que habría sido súper divertido si hubiéramos tenido más tiempo.

La ubicación está cerca de la carretera, así que hay un coche a la noche y un ruido es muy mal y se puede decir que si la habitación está al lado del estacionamiento, tal vez mejore. Los demás son muy perfectos, porque hay una sala de estar y una cocina abierta, dos habitaciones (un cama individual y un cama doble), la separación de la secadora de la jaula también tiene ventiladores, que se siente muy rentable

Very nice common area, the kitchen is very clean aswell with good ventellation. The room is nice and so is the service. Very convinient with self checkin-checkout especially if you have morning flights. Parking was available however it was 15nzd/day. Only a 10-15 minute walk away from the airport, it was nexr to a walkpath straight to the airport so it was very convinient

The room is large and spacious. Private full kitchen is provided for your cooking. The whole room is well partitioned into sleeping area, washing room and kitchen which are all tidy and clean. The manager is friendly and can chat with you on different topics. Wifi signal is strong.

**Comfortable Stay with Great Service** I had a pleasant stay at **Rosewood Court Motel**. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including a comfortable bed and a small kitchenette. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the parking was convenient. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was also great—close to shops, restaurants, and easy access to the city. Overall, it’s a good choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The Haka House Christchurch is located across from the University of Canterbury, a short walk from the Botanical Garden and the city center. The rooms and the bathrooms are clean and there are two kitchens with all the utensils for guests to use. The staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there

I had a cosy and comfortable stay. The friendly staff at the reception offered a complimentary shuttle to the airport next morning, a service which I had not realized was available. The staff truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Thoughtful gestures included offering a bottle of fresh milk, which was an unexpected but lovely touch, as well as assistance in carrying of luggage to both room and on board shuttle van. All these small acts of kindness made me feel so welcomed, especially on my last night in New Zealand. :)

You cannot get closer to Mt Cook than staying on property in their national park. The rooms are like mini apartments with a full kitchen, dining and spacious sleeping area. There is a walk out terrace in the back. The price for this ensuite was less than the Hermitage but I believe a better value for the quality. We spent 2 nights here to actually wind down (1 night is too short) and take advantage of the trails. There are so many. As we knew we were getting rainy weather going in, we picked up some groceries n Twizel to make soup and salad on the first night. We did a walkthrough of the museum and planetarium show which is a short drive (4 minutes). For our last night, we dined at the Alpine buffet restaurant in the Hermitage which had an amazing assortment and local seafood (cured Aoraki salmon, prawns, mussels). We thoroughly enjoyed and took advantage of all that this area offered. Beautiful natural setting. You will not be disappointed staying here. The word motel is deceiving as it's more like mini-suites.

The twizel town is very beautiful and the place was at the right place. However, the room we choose wasn’t that great. I know it’s a small town but reception area was closed by 7pm so you need to make sure you arrive before time else need to message the check in time.
