My trip to Kota Kinabalu was unplanned and I bought my tickets only two days before flying. With such a last minute plan, I decided not to spend much on accommodation. I looked through a few hostel options online and this one stood out mainly because of its central location, so I went ahead and booked it. The hostel is very easy to locate. Just follow the signs and you will find it without any issue. It is on the first floor, which means you only need to go one level up from the ground. When I arrived, the staff were friendly and check in was fast. The same can be said about check out. Everything was simple. The bed was okay and quite standard for hostel stays. My bed was comfortable enough, had a window and came with a charging port which made things convenient. The bathroom was also fine. I only wish guests, especially ladies, would throw their hair into the dustbin instead of leaving it on the wall. It would make the bathroom nicer for everyone. All in all, it was a reasonable stay and matched what I expected for the price. Everything was generally good and okay.

Overall, my experience was positive. The bed and mattress were clean, and the common areas were well-maintained. I appreciated having access to hot water for showers at any time, as well as both hot and cold water available. Additionally, there was an unlimited supply of coffee and tea throughout the day.

La ubicación es excelente, con fácil acceso a restaurantes, mariscos y opciones para recorrer islas. El interior está muy limpio, pero las habitaciones son bastante pequeñas. Me alojé tres días y nadie limpió las habitaciones ni trajo agua. Ni siquiera levantaron la vista cuando pasé por recepción. No había servicio chino, o mejor dicho, ningún servicio.

¡Una estancia muy satisfactoria! Cuando llegué al hotel, sólo había una litera superior. El jefe tuvo en cuenta mi edad y le preocupaba que me resultara incómodo subir y bajar, así que limpió una habitación donde estaban los muebles y me la cambió a una habitación doble sin cargo. El desayuno es muy rico! Durante el recorrido de un día, ¡el jefe me envió especialmente al punto de encuentro! ¡Mi jefe también me invitó a una fiesta familiar, lo que me hizo sentir muy feliz y cálido en un país extranjero!

Everything is superb beyond expectation. The hostel was friendly enough to accommodate my late check-in arrival. The room, common area bathroom are maintained a good quality. I am very happy with the stay.

Buena ubicación, me quedé una noche porque preferí cambiar La habitación pequeña y llena de mochilas que impedían moverse bien con un suelo lleno de pelos. Hacía mucho frío en la habitación y no disponíamos de mando para modificar la temperatura. La pica del lavabo tenía poca presión y caía poca agua, aunque por lo menos salía caliente. No toilet paper. La primera imagen al llegar fue extraña, ya que la recepción es pequeña y estaba llena de hombres tirados en un sofá con el teléfono, entiendo amigos del dueño, olor concentrado y un poco oscuro.

El entorno es precioso, en plena naturaleza, por lo que hay bastantes insectos y se oyen muchos pájaros. El baño con ducha integrada estaba bastante limpio. Los perros y gatos del hotel son muy adorables y cariñosos. La variedad de platos en el restaurante es limitada y tienen horarios de servicio específicos. Está muy cerca del RDC, a solo 10 minutos a pie. El personal de recepción también es muy amable. La señal de wifi es mejor en la recepción; en las habitaciones es muy débil, casi inexistente. En general, lo volvería a reservar.

I had a great stay! The capsule-style bunk beds were clean, comfortable, and provided good privacy with personal lighting and charging ports. The room was cozy and well-maintained, and the shared space felt safe and quiet. Perfect for budget travelers. Would definitely recommend!

Good location near to the jetty. Toilet condition is a bit dirty. Some water heaters not working. There is a mezzanine floor where people go for breakfast and refill water. It is just above the ground floor rooms so you can hear people walking above you especially in the morning
