Stayed for first 4 nights whilst visiting Australia. Chose the hotel as it is in a decent location, ( 5 min walk to Circ Quay, plus easy for Rocks, Darling, central area for Hyde Park etc), reasonable cost and the fact they allowed early arrivals into your booked room - availability allowing. We arrived at 7am after a 26 hour flight - and our room (7th floor) was available - allowing us to grab a few hours kip. We didn’t realise that it overlooked Australia Square, which is lively & loud Mon - Fri.. Not a problem on the first night as we’re so tired. The following day we asked if we could be moved, not a problem, we were moved to a quieter room (14th floor) & upgraded at no additional cost. The room was lovely - as were the breakfast’s each morning. I cannot fault the quality of the hotel, cleanliness, friendliness and willingness to help by all the staff. Would I return? Most definitely. 😁

Since its renovations this hotel now feels very slick and stylish. The rooms look great with its modern look, while still giving off warm and welcoming vibes. Beds are comfortable, and newly renovated bathrooms look great. Unfortunately, all of this aesthetic appeal is let down somewhat by the staff. I was barely greeted or acknowledged by the reception staff, and I was made to feel like I was interrupting them. There was no offer of help for my luggage or even recognition that someone with 2 large suitcases (and a child) would need assistance. The rooms no longer have phones inside them. Rather, the phone number to reception was provided during check-in. This normally wouldn't be an issue, however it seems like they just don't like answering their phone. I tested this theory myself by going into the lobby and calling the reception. Neither staff were attending to guests, and yet I can very plainly see the phone flashing and being ignored. I loved the decor and stylish touches of this new-look Rydges. Sadly, my most memorable experience from this hotel was rolling the hotel baggage cart to my room by myself to take down my luggage.

Además, el frigorífico sólo se enfria a 5 grados, por lo que no es adecuado para almacenar alimentos o cualquier medicamento que necesite refrigeración. La única herramienta que se ha proporcionado fue un plato de té solitario. Puedes comprobar mis fotos de los cubiertas para ver exactamente lo que se ha proporcionado. En el lado más, este hotel está bien situado y puede acceder fácilmente a las autopistas M7 y M5. Es una buena piscina de tamaño con horas de apertura largas. Hay mucho aparcamiento gratuito tanto fuera como bajo cubierta en el Club Católico. El hotel está cerca del Club y no tenía problemas de ser emitido con un ”Extended Visitors Pass” que cubrió los días de mi estancia. La zona de la piscina está muy cerca de la piscina y si estás planeando quedarse puede ser útil preguntarte sobre la renovación de la habitación. La habitación no me gustaba nada de las bellezas que he venido a esperar en una suite - no había agua, ropa, ni cubierta de ducha. Sin embargo, si elegira una suite, me llevaría todas mis suministros de cocina, no incluido el bañera.

4 night stay for Vivid. Chose this as an Accor member and that it was close to the Harbour. Upgraded to a Prestige Suite, Club benefits and was not disappointed. Yes the building is not new, it’s not like the shiny new hotels in town, but it’s solid and my sleeps were uninterrupted and rarely heard noise from the hall. My Suite 930 was spacious, clean, well appointed, Sofitel Bed topper and electric sockets to plug in my adapters to charge. Like other reviews no USB ports but I’m sure most sensible travellers have an adapter. The Club Sofitel access was the perfect addition. Early check-in and waited with a hot tea while my suite was made up. It was 9:30am but the room was rushed and 30 minutes later I was unpacking. Evening canapés and drinks from 5:30pm. Table drink service by Alley and her dedicated, personable, attentive team. They remember your preferences pretty quickly and it became an oasis from Vivid hoping and sightseeing. My suite completely blocked out the light and slept through 2 alarms, it’s the Sofitel Bed topper. Breakfast at Club Sofitel, peaceful, plenty of options to choose from, salmon and capers to a great gluten free station, eggs cooked to order and a great way to start the day. Try the Dilmah Blood Orange and Eucalyptus tea. Thanks Lara. Afternoon Tea served from 2:30 and daily sandwiches , scones, cakes and complimentary drinks, tea, coffee and soft. On entering the Club Lounge, always a friendly greeting, your preferred drink served and a relaxing space anytime of the day. The Club team really made my stay, they work really hard to make your stay great. Housekeeping always made up my room before my afternoon return. Always a Bonjour as you walked past them in the hall. My stay was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lobby is grand and the history of this hotel makes her great. Not the newest but I prefer tradition and good honest service. Definitely not the style of hotel for everyone but my expectations were met and exceeded beyond imagination. Club Sofitel is a must. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beware if you have respiratory problems or sensitive to any perfumes or chemicals. The whole place reeks of a powerful deodorant which is in containers on the walls in the corridors. This time we stayed it was if the smell was double and within ten minutes I had a headache. I had to wear a mask in the public areas and get out as quickly as possible into fresh air and keep a towel under the door inside the unit with all the windows open. We have stayed there a number of times and each time the bed linen was not clean (mattress protector stained and dirty) and the deodorant spray was bad. I complained about both each time but nothing was ever done. This is a tired apartment hotel that has had many names over many years. It is very convenient to all areas of the north shore which is a plus for us and it has a reaonably well equipped kitchen which is also a plus for us. Recently it has changed management and the price has gone up. It is not worth $400 per night for a one bedroom run down apartment that is only reasonabley clean. You also pay a high price for parking your car in the building. $35 per night. We only stayed two nights because we had already paid but will not stay there again while they have strong chemicals floating around the air. The staff are pleasant and friendly but although with both the previous and now current owners I mention the smell their only answer is either it covers up food smells or ”the boys like the smell”. We will not stay there again which is a shame as we would withhout the chemicals.

La ubicación del hotel es genial! La estación de trenes tiene dos minutos para caminar, y el centro comercial de Westfield está al lado.
