The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we arrived and rooms were spotless, everything we needed. Did have a little musty smell but it's an older building didn't spoil they stay. We ate in the lounge bar food was lovely staff again were great. We requested a quiet room and it was didn't hear a noise peaceful stay. There's a nature walk on the grounds it was nice of an evening to take a little stroll lovely surroundings I'd stay there again
Hoteles en Ellbos: Este hotel es un hotel muy agradable, muy amable, muy agradable y muy limpio. Muy tranquilo, aunque el hotel esté en la calle alta. Definitivamente reservaría de nuevo y es un perro amigable
Location is great but is expensive. They have tried to automate things but means a hit on service. Did not tell us about registering the car numberplate in a computer as part of check in. We then got stuck at a barrier just popping out to see the area. Then had to pay the barrier as no humans. Then had to make a claim. Then still waiting for the claim. Computers reduce headcount but reduce service. The hotel itself is fine but was not value for money.

I had an absolutely delightful stay here. The rooms were spotless, provided in the rooms were coffee machines, bath robes, room slippers, hair dryers. There were basic toiletries and you could ask for vanity kits or shaving kits as well.
The in room dining menu is priced very well but it is not all day, so do check with the reception.
There is so much to do around the property and there’s ample parking available as well.
The indoor pool is heated and can be used till 8PM. Breakfast is from 7-10AM and is a lovely spread.

UUsuario invitadoCouple with dog.
For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did.
On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us.
We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did!
I have a video of the water pressure.
On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is in a great area of the countryside of Warwickshire. When you arrive the bar/food service next door is currently having maintenance issues so it is not currently open. When we arrived, the service was amazing:kind, friendly and approachable. On arrival to our room, the room (21) was a big size. The double bed was huge and double beds were available to our 2 children - even with our luggage scattered around the room, there was still plenty of room for the children to run around and play. My fiancé said the room was quiet warm but I liked the temperature of the room and found it pleasant - not too warm or cold and was very comfortable.
The only amenities we would have benefited from as a family, was a fridge because our youngest needs dairy free milk for the night. However, I appreciate this is a luxury within hotels so it wasn't a factor to complain about.
The beds were comfy. Breakfast in the morning - running from 7am-10am (we arrived at 9am) was a little disappointing. There wasn't much choice and a lot of items we had to wait for between 10-15 mins - and without saying anything to very absent kitchen/buffet staff, it wasn't topped up. I made do with what was left but I didn't end up having any toast (no bread), no bacon and no eggs. Not worth the £12.99 price tag. I have seen this mentioned in other reviews but breakfast area was conservatory-esque and quite cold. As mentioned previously, customer service was great and this was upheld at checkout. No close local amenities, evening restaurant, local shop etc but overall, a lovely stay.
Dds999arrived around 3pm and checked in at the bar as instructed I received a warm welcome and even had my case carried up the stairs (no lift). I was given room 3, a single which was more than adequate with large single bed (very comfy) separate bath tub and wc plus t & coffee- I was pleasantly surprised. The wall mounted tv worked efficiently, there was sufficient storage and hanging space for my two night needs & the t and milks were topped up as requested. brekky was adequate and I enjoyed my stay. The ten am check out was a bit of a problem on the second morning as my train wasn’t until noon (less than 5 minutes walk to the station). the bus to Stratford, Warwick and Coventry goes from round the corner and the town is 7 - 10 minutes walk across the river bridge and past the pump room. plenty of dining options. good value for money but more a boarding house than hotel. I would return
UUsuario anónimoI spent two nights here for the Shakespeare celebrations and absolutely loved it. The house has such a perfect ambience — cozy and welcoming.
The room was perfect, too: spacious, clean, and comfortable. I also liked that they had a TV in the room — it was nice to have it on for some white noise since I was travelling alone. Plus, they provided an electric kettle with instant coffee, milk, and tea, which was a nice touch.
The bathroom was spotless, and the amenities (soap, towels, etc.) were complete.
They offered several options for breakfast, but I always went with the English breakfast—and it was so good! Not to forget, cereals, fruit, jam, and milk were also available in the dining room.
It's too bad I didn’t have the chance to enjoy the separate kitchen, but the street view from its window gave it such good vibes.
I would definitely come back here if I revisit this city!
DDawnieIn the countryside in Stratford in a beautiful timber beamed building. The room was dark but spacious. We had the family room with a double and two single. Breakfast was included. No menus but the waiter said any English breakfast combination which was great. I had two poached eggs. The only problem was a lack of communication regarding the usual route to find the hotel being closed due to road works. Navigating a one way system in an unfamiliar town with no email or call to let us know how we were to get to the hotel was extremely stressful and put us 1.5 hours behind the schedule to arrive. This could have been sorted if the hotel had contacted trip.com with the landline provided at booking and explained about road works so I could have been forwarned.
SShowkat GanieThe room itself was generally fine, and the heating worked perfectly. However, we experienced a significant issue with the bathroom: the water would not drain properly, leaving the floor flooded. We had to use a wiper to push the water toward the sink and drain (images attached), which was very inconvenient.
Another surprising and disappointing detail was that no towels or soap were provided. These are basic essentials in any hotel, and since we did not bring our own, we were charged extra for them. This felt completely unreasonable.
Finally, the location is far from ideal. The hotel is quite a distance from the town centre, and public transport is infrequent, making it difficult to get around. Would not recommend!!!
UUsuario invitadoWe did not eat, so cannot comment on it. The hotel was quite unusual, yet with charm in a ramshackle, real sense. It reminded me of backpacking in Asia, but staying in a nicer kind of place while doing so. The explanation for why soap disappeared from the hotel made no real sense, but as we can use the liquids it was okay... it seems an odd penny-pinching move to deny guests a simple small round disc of... 'Guest soap' during their stay. They do exist, I stay in hotels often. It's jarring not to give people soap, and overall I suggest that it is a negative cost saving given the potential loss of repeat business that such incongruences, as they build, can result in. A special thanks to the kind night receptionist.
UUsuario invitadoAnother great stay here, our room was the exact same as usual however some of the lights were abit naff or didn’t work this time around, no major issues but shame compared to previous stays. Likewise the tv remote was very temperamental this time around. But as it was booked in advance for a cheap night it was great.
