An attractive hotel in a former imperial complex (a library or something like that) offering large, clean rooms. It's up on the side of a hill but taxis/rideshare will take you to the front door. Also it's very close to the town center and is a short ride to the temples that are of interest in Chengde. They have a decent breakfast at the onsite restaurant, and a dinner service featuring local dishes that are supposed to be similar to what an emperor might have eaten. So you can dine like an emperor, for a fee. The large deer roaming the grounds stare at your with the big, sad eyes, obviously looking for a handout, but don't fall for it as there's plenty of grass. There was some construction going on, seems the buildings are being refurbished, but it did not really interfere with our stay. Signs in English and English-speaking staff at the front desk.

Great location! Less than 1km from West Station. Personnel were very profesional. Breakfast great and rooms very big with all the necessary things. Would definitely book again if have to stay at Cangzhou.

Cuando entras al vestíbulo del hotel, se siente muy elegante. La decoración es muy lujosa y grandiosa. El mayordomo Xiao Wang es digno de ser un hotel de cinco estrellas. La habitación se ve muy refrescante, limpia y ordenada. Hay bocadillos y frutas. Está al lado de Wanda Plaza, lo cual es muy conveniente. Esta vez me quedé aquí nuevamente, muy recomendado. Particularmente dignos de mención son el ama de llaves Xiao Wang y el chico de la recepción. Después de hacer el check out, salimos a jugar y nos mojamos por la fuerte lluvia. Regresaron a recoger nuestro equipaje y nos dieron pantuflas desechables. La actitud fue buena y considerada.

Aspectos Positivos: 1. Prácticamente un cinco estrellas, con todo lo que se puede esperar. 2. El servicio es excelente, las entregas son muy rápidas. 3. El aire acondicionado enfría bien, aunque hace un ruido extraño. 4. Permiten y te suben el pedido de comida a domicilio a la habitación. 5. La habitación está muy bien insonorizada. Aspectos Negativos: 1. Para ir del sótano a la habitación hay que cambiar de ascensor tres veces, lo cual es muy incómodo. Similar al hotel Niccolo Suzhou. 2. Es muy difícil aparcar. Si estacionas en la superficie, hay que caminar una distancia considerable. La entrada al parking subterráneo es muy estrecha, y el propio parking subterráneo es bastante caótico. 3. El agua caliente va y viene.

The hotel is conveniently located to our relatives. It’s extremely clean and well equipped with the technology! I enjoy to open the curtains with a finger point touch. The services are great everyone is super friendly! The breakfast is fantastic with many different dishes and all are delicious! We really enjoyed the stay and will stay again next time!

The hotel staffs are very helpful and professional. The most pity thing is a breakfast. When I visited the restaurant, there were so many people there. So, retuned to the room, and revisited the restaurant after 9:00. What I was so surprised is that many restaurant staffs are trying to prepare to close the restaurant after 9:30 even though there are still many guests in the restaurant. Many of the foods are already run out or cleaned out of the restaurant. It was really uncomfortable even though they mentioned that the restaurant is available until 10:00. I had to eat breakfast so in a hurry to help them clean up the restaurant. I hope they start the process of closing the restaurant after all the guests have left the restaurant.

Hace poco me alojé en el Hotel Venice Waterworld en Shijiazhuang y, por desgracia, no cumplió mis expectativas. El hotel se siente bastante anticuado y necesita una renovación. Booked on friends’ recommendation and it did not disappoint! This is our first time in this region and first time ever in a ski resort and it has been a very pleasant and memorable experience. The hotel is in the heart of the ski resort from where dining options and shops are easily accessible. The Family Room is of decent size for 3 people (myself and two teenagers) and had all the usual amenities. Bidets are not typical in the country so don’t expect to see one here. Breakfast came with my booking and we got to try the typical food for this time of day. No Western breakfast available from the buffet. The selection does not vary per day so maybe keep that in mind if you’re staying for more than a couple of days. There are some food options outside but not a lot in the early morning. Most shops and restaurants open at 10am. Customer service is exceptional and probably what we loved most about our stay. Mr. Lang, the English-speaking concierge, was very attentive and went above and beyond for us, making sure we took full advantage of the amenities such as the free movie tickets and hot spring sessions. He took great care explaining how to rent equipment and pay for ski passes to us noobs and we really appreciate that.

We stayed at this hotel during the Chinese New Year holiday and had a wonderful experience. The hotel feels new and modern, with a delightful fragrance throughout—especially in the hallways. Our favorite aspects were the spacious room and the stunning bathtub overlooking the ocean. The kids absolutely loved it! The hotel's beachfront location is a major plus. Even though we visited in winter, we were lucky enough to experience snowfall on the beach, which felt surreal and added a magical touch to our stay. The indoor swimming pool on the top floor is decent, offering great views, while breakfast was plentiful and varied. We particularly enjoyed the pastries section. The Chinese restaurant next to the swimming pool is highly recommended—perfect for when you don’t feel like going out, and the food was delicious. The in-room dining service was also excellent. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I’m already looking forward to returning in the summer to try their outdoor swimming pool, which was closed during winter.
