First of all the hotel rented out the rooms for individual operator. So there will be different check in counter. Upon check in, been told that the room card not functioning as they are doing upgrading, so every time u come back will need to call the house keeping to unlock the door. Most importantly they charge RM 17 per night for car parking. So a lot of car parking outside which make the entrance a bit difficult

Me encanta todo de Lone Pine. Tiene todo lo que necesito para una estancia familiar en la playa. Bonita ubicación con muchos restaurantes a poca distancia caminando junto a la carretera; un hotel y un dormitorio de lujo tranquilos, sencillos pero elegantes; amplio espacio al aire libre para pasear que da a un hermoso jardín y a la playa. Recomendado.

We had a wonderful stay at PARKROYAL Penang Resort. The overall experience was very relaxing and enjoyable, especially for our family. Both of my children loved the resort and had such a great time. What really impressed us was the thoughtful service from the hotel team — they even went the extra mile to help prepare balloons and a birthday cake for my children’s birthday celebration. It made the trip feel extra special and memorable. It was a perfect family getaway with a relaxing atmosphere, good service, and plenty for the kids to enjoy. We would definitely be happy to stay here again!

Unfortunately, my stay at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang was disappointing, especially considering that I paid around RM3,000 for two nights in the Rasa Wing. The hotel is clean and the staff are generally friendly, but the entire property feels extremely outdated — from the exterior and lobby to the rooms. The room had a very hard bed, an old non-Smart TV with no YouTube or modern features, and the toilet blind was not working properly, leaving a gap where people outside could still see in. Overall, the room felt like an old hotel room with very little modernisation. The Rasa Wing benefits were also disappointing. The afternoon tea and evening cocktails were average, with limited variety and quality that did not feel up to a five-star standard. The evening cocktail selection in particular was very limited and boring. Service was friendly but extremely slow and disorganised. I had requested and reconfirmed a complimentary birthday cake/decorations for my father’s birthday before arrival, but nothing was ready when we entered the room. The cake and decorations only arrived later in the evening while we were already in the room. Even the minibar was empty and only stocked later. The check-in and escort to the room were also confusing and slow. For comparison, I paid a similar amount for my stay at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, which is also an older hotel. However, the experience there was completely different — the hotel is beautifully maintained, comfortable, updated and truly feels like a five-star property. The service, room, food and overall experience were exceptional. Being an older hotel is not an excuse for feeling outdated. If Shangri-La Rasa Sayang is not planning to renovate and modernise the property, the price should be reduced. At around RM3,000 for two nights, I honestly did not feel that this stay was worth the money.

La vista de nuestra habitación era increíble. Para una familia de 5 adultos, la habitación familiar es lo suficientemente grande. También teníamos desayuno incluido en nuestra habitación. El desayuno era bueno, sin embargo, se puede evitar sentarse fuera ya que hay bastantes cuerdas allí. En general, una estancia muy agradable en Penang!

He estado en muchos hoteles locales, pero nunca había experimentado un servicio tan bueno👍💯💯💯. . . Volvería otra vez. . Cuando hagas el check in, tomarás la iniciativa de ayudar con tu equipaje, y cuando hagas el check out, también ayudarás con tu equipaje (a solo unos pasos de distancia, me sorprendió😅😅🤭🤭). Desde el check-in hasta la recepción del hotel, el personal de servicio y el personal de limpieza, todos son educados y saludan a todos los que conocen. . . Impresionante💯💯💯👍👍

the location and hotel are great. the private beach is amazing. the facilities are as people said, quite dated. the aircon is noisy at night, and they charge you extra for another towel, and also make you go down to reception to get it. however, i am willing to overlook these for the amazing view. the side view is honestly good enough, especially during the day with the green.

Everything is so great, the room, kids club, pool, breakfast. Eventho I only took the deluxe king lower floor, it is still absolutely nice. Room is so spacious, it is just that the toilet is a bit small. All the facilities are top notch, really suitable for family travelling with kids. Breakfast has alot of choices. I will definitely come back and stay at higher floor and maybe for longer stay.

I had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable. The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes. Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

La estancia fue excelente, salvo por lo siguiente: 1. El ruido de las motos por la noche después de la 1 a. m.; 2. El lavabo estaba atascado y la pegatina con las instrucciones para desatascarlo no funcionaba. 3. La playa se veía descuidada y no era nada del otro mundo. Pero el servicio, la comida y la limpieza fueron impecables para un hotel malasio, sin duda.
