Popeye Village was originally the shooting scene of Popeye's music movie in 1980. It was not dismantled after the filming was completed. With the popularity of Popeye, the original scene became a tourist hotspot in Malta. This colorful town is hidden in a bay with a mountain back, and the cabins of various colors instantly make people feel like they have crossed into a comic situation.Mellieha · 5.7 km from St. Paul's Bay

Comino, also known as Kemuna, is a beautiful island in the Republic of Malta, located in the central Mediterranean Sea. Comino is close to Malta and Gozo, and can be connected to the other two islands by water. The Blue Lagoon on the island is a very famous natural attraction, a hidden bay with clear blue water, a paradise for diving and swimming. In addition, there is an existing ancient lighthouse built in the 17th century on the island, which witnesses the historical changes of Comino. Comino is also a nature reserve with many rare plant and animal species, so there are strict restrictions on human activities to protect its unique ecosystem. The natural beauty and rich historical relics of the island attract a large number of tourists to visit, and there is also a hotel dedicated to entertaining tourists. The island is an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle and return to nature.Ghajnsielem · 9.9 km from St. Paul's Bay

Malta Blue Lagoon is a protected cove with a white sandy seabed and crystal-clear waters. According to different natural conditions such as sunlight depth and minerals, seawater presents different layers from far to near. The projection of a cruise ship moored on the water surface can be printed on the seabed, just like a ship moored on glass. In addition, paragliding on Malta's Blue Lagoon is also a very unforgettable experience.Ghajnsielem · 10.9 km from St. Paul's Bay

St. John's Cathedral in Valletta is one of the more famous cathedrals in the world. It was built by the Knights of Malta from 1573 to 1578. It is the place where leaders and knights hold major religious ceremonies and sacrifices. The church is in early Baroque architectural style, partly imitating Gothic. Although the exterior is pure white and plain, the interior ornate decoration is breathtaking. The entire dome of the church is a large fresco, painted by the Italian painter Madia Brady, showing the life story of St. John, and the carved stone walls can make people understand the history of the Knights. This church is also known as one of the more beautiful churches in Europe. The interior of the cathedral is further divided into eight chapels, dedicated to the patron saints of the eight parts of the Knights. There is also a Cathedral Museum (CathedralMuseum), one of the more famous works of art is Caravaggio's "Saint John beheaded".Valletta · 11.3 km from St. Paul's Bay

The Blue Grotto is composed of several sea caves, which are famous for the deep cobalt blue color of the sea water under the refraction of sunlight. There are many caves at the bottom of the Blue Grotto, which are connected and intertwined. It is one of the famous "Three Blue Grottoes in Malta". The main cave is about 30 meters high and looks like a natural arch. It is a unique geological wonder in the Mediterranean region. From early morning to noon when the sun shines directly, the sea water is highly transparent, and the light and shadow interweave with the rock wall to create a dreamy visual effect, attracting a large number of photography enthusiasts. The captain will explain the history and legends of the formation of the caves, and guide you to watch the underwater coral reefs. Diving enthusiasts can choose a licensed dive shop to explore the cave group. The underwater visibility is often more than 30 meters, and you may encounter moray eels and colorful fish. It takes about 40 minutes to drive from Valletta. It is recommended to arrive early to avoid the flow of people, and pay attention to sun protection in summer. There are no large commercial facilities around, and there are small restaurants in the fishing village that provide simple meals. When the waves are large, the ship may stop operating. Please check the local weather advisory before traveling.Qrendi · 13.8 km from St. Paul's Bay

Popeye Village, located near Meliha, is a set left over from the movie's filming. Colorful wooden houses are crammed together along the fjord, their windows painted with cartoon characters. Actors dressed as Popeye and Olive Oyl perform regular fight scenes and spinach-eating antics; the performances are rather exaggerated and suitable for children. You can take a small boat ride around the fjord; the water is so clear you can see the rocks at the bottom. A small shop sells souvenirs and canned spinach with Popeye designs on the packaging. The overall atmosphere is relaxed, but the place isn't very big; you can see everything in about two hours.

Comino Island is the smallest of Malta's three inhabited islands, with only a handful of permanent residents. Boats run between Comino Island and the main island of Malta. There are a few food stalls near the boat dock. There are no hotels on the island, and boat services only run until the afternoon. Plan your time well in advance, or you might miss it. The climate is mild, and even in winter it's suitable for hiking. In December, if you go, you can swim in the sea even when it's calm. You can swim near the boat drop-off and pick-up points.

Spent an unforgettable day at the Blue Lagoon on Comino Island! The water is crystal clear and stunningly blue—perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, with rugged cliffs surrounding the lagoon. It's a bit crowded, but the beauty of the place makes it worth it. Relaxing on the rocks and soaking in the sun was pure bliss. Definitely one of the most beautiful spots I’ve ever visited!

Malta's Jopohe Street is located in the old town. It is the most intuitive place to feel the living conditions of the local people. Although it is very shabby, it is very nostalgic, just like going back to the streets of my hometown when I was a child.

Malta is renowned for its exquisite structures. From the oldest temple in the world to the relatively new Parliament Building in the capital, Valletta, the island is full of fascinating buildings. If you enjoy architecture, Malta also offers a large number of palaces, baroque houses and churches. Depending on where you are on the island, you may stumble upon a magnificent castle that is well worth taking the time to see. Here are some of the most beautiful castles in Malta on a trip to Malta. Fort St. Angelo Formerly a seaside fortress, Fort St. Angelo dates back to the Middle Ages. Originally a castle, it was later rebuilt as a fortress by the Knights of St. John and served as a fortress for defence against the Turks during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565. With Vittoriosa waterfront as its priority, the fortress has more or less remained as it was. The exterior has remained the same since it was rebuilt in the 1690s to the designs of the famous military architect Carlos de Grunberg. The fort served as a British military station between 1800 and 1979 and was classified as a stone ship and was known as HMS Egmont and HMS St Angelo. Today, the fort is open to all visitors, who can also enjoy a meal in the officers' lounge and buy some souvenirs.
