Valoraciones de Five Zurich - Luxury City Resort

No recomiendo para nada quedarse en el ala este. Para llegar hay que caminar por un túnel bastante largo desde el edificio principal. Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas y el baño también es súper estrecho (si abres la puerta, para poder usar el baño tienes que cerrarla otra vez porque no hay espacio). La habitación tampoco es lo bastante grande como para que dos personas se sienten a comer comida para llevar. Además, algo que me resultó bastante incómodo es que la habitación no tiene ventanas que se puedan abrir. A mí me gusta que entre aire, y eso hace que el ambiente se sienta cerrado y seco. Al reservar no miré bien el tipo de habitación y no esperaba encontrarme con tantos inconvenientes. Antes de hacer el check-in, en recepción me dijeron que podía pagar un extra para cambiar a una habitación mejor, y que esa noche había muchas habitaciones grandes libres en el edificio principal. (En hoteles como InterContinental o Marriott, en situaciones así normalmente me hacen el upgrade gratis). Si hay tantas habitaciones disponibles, no entiendo por qué no dejan probar una sin coste. (Lo comento solo como opinión, sé que el hotel no está obligado a hacerlo

¡Este hotel está sucio y las alcantarillas están atascadas! ¿Es desordenado, pobre, con empleados de mala calidad, cobran tarifas arbitrarias y roban dinero abiertamente? Es una tienda negra. ¿Alguna vez te has encontrado con este tipo de hotel? ¿Cómo lo calificas con cinco estrellas? Este tipo de hotel sin ética profesional cerrará tarde o temprano. Es una mierda. Reservé dos noches en el viaje y pagué en su totalidad, pero el dinero se dedujo inexplicablemente. ! ¡Qué asqueroso!

Hubo una escena impactante cuando me registré: debido a un vuelo retrasado, llegué al hotel casi a las 12 de la noche y un personal masculino de la recepción me dio las habitaciones 308 y 309. Cuando mis amigos y yo deslizamos nuestras tarjetas para entrar a la habitación, descubrimos que ya había invitados en ambas habitaciones, ambos invitados chinos, y ambos estábamos sorprendidos y avergonzados. En la recepción, el personal también se sintió muy avergonzado. Se disculparon profusamente y no sabían a quién llamaban. Después de una larga llamada telefónica en alemán, les dieron dos nuevas habitaciones, una de las cuales fue mejorada a una suite con 132 vistas. . La habitación es grande y hermosa. El único inconveniente es que la habitación es demasiado grande y el baño es un poco complicado. Los desagües de los otros dos lavabos estaban un poco bloqueados. Desenrosqué el tapón del desagüe del grifo de la izquierda y encontré un objeto duro atrapado en el interior. Parecía sucio, debía haber estado bloqueado durante mucho tiempo. No sé por qué nadie informó y lo arregló. Lo desconecté y esperé que el hotel lo encontrara y lo limpiara. Todo lo demás está bien. El hotel es muy avanzado. Todos los interruptores de control son pantallas táctiles. También hay aire acondicionado, pero no se puede activar, pero afortunadamente no hace demasiado calor. Debo alabar el desayuno ya que estaba muy rico, muy bueno y muy limpio. En general, ¡es un hotel muy recomendado!

Hotel muy bueno y moderno con habitaciones amplias. Recomiendo a quienes decidan alojarse en este hotel que lleguen en coche, ya que está un poco más apartado. El servicio de aparcacoches se encarga del resto. Restaurante fantástico en el cuarto piso, en caso de que no quieras viajar a la ciudad. En general, ¡una experiencia de 5/5!

Falta de agua caliente en la ducha... y las habitaciones del ala este son definitivamente un fracaso, deberíamos haberlo sabido. En general, una experiencia absolutamente decepcionante.

We chose Five Zurich - Luxury City Resort because we had an early morning flight from Spain to Switzerland, and we wanted a hotel where we could truly relax—enjoy a swim, use the sauna, and unwind in a beautiful environment. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt incredibly calming. The surroundings, set on a hillside, added to the peaceful and refreshing experience. What impressed us most was the exceptional service—every member of staff, including the housekeeping team, was polite and attentive. A special mention goes to Felipe, who took care of us with the level of attention you would expect from a five-star hotel in the Maldives and Dubai. The hotel driver was also extremely helpful, transporting us to and from the train station and assisting us with our luggage. Even when we had multiple bags, staff members went out of their way to guide us and lend a hand, which made a big difference. The hotel is divided into a main building and an East Wing, connected by a unique trendy tunnel—something quite fun and memorable, especially for children. Families will also appreciate the games room in the East Wing, where kids can enjoy table tennis and billiards. In the afternoon, we visited the Lindt Home of Chocolate. It was very convenient—about 20 minutes by taxi or 40–50 minutes by public transport. We also purchased a Swiss Travel Pass (first class), which made traveling incredibly easy. We didn’t have to worry about buying tickets—just hop on any Swiss train with spacious seats and quiet coach, tram, or bus at the right time and go. If you’re planning to explore Switzerland, staying at a hotel with good transport connections is definitely essential. One of the highlights of this hotel is its relaxing ambiance and the water features. The lobby features beautiful musical elements and décor, and the overall design is modern and stylish—creating a very comfortable and enjoyable space. I’ve heard that rooms in the East Wing are smaller and more suitable for single or double occupancy, with more reasonable pricing. Some rooms reportedly have windows that cannot be opened, but the hotel is already looking into improvements. Overall, we had a wonderful stay—and next time we visit Switzerland, we would absolutely love to stay here again. P.S. the hotel indoor swimming pool and Spa area is amazing too. We enjoyed it very much and wish we have more time in the hotel next time. We are heading to Lucern now.

I loved this hotel and can’t wait to go back!! My room could’ve been cleaned a bit better but wow what an amazing hotel the pool is also so great 😍 so glad I booked

I recently stayed at FIVE Zurich expecting a luxurious experience based on the hotel’s marketing and high ratings. Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing due to issues with the room assignment. The room I was given was not in the main building but in a separate/adjacent building (East Wing or similar). This was not clearly communicated or shown in the booking/photos I saw when reserving. The room itself felt basic and outdated compared to the stunning images of the main hotel – no real view (just facing another building or nothing special), smaller than expected, and lacking the wow factor the hotel promotes. It honestly felt like a downgrade or annex-style accommodation. When I politely asked the front desk staff if it would be possible to move to a room in the main building (even offering to pay extra if needed), they flatly refused and said it wasn’t possible, with no apology or alternative offered. This made the stay feel even more misleading. The rest of the hotel (lobby, restaurants, spa, etc.) looks impressive from what I saw, and the location on Uetliberg has nice nature around it. But for the price paid, I expected transparency about room locations and better customer service when issues arise. I wouldn’t recommend booking here unless you specifically confirm you’re getting a room in the main building with a view. Very disappointing for a so-called luxury city resort. Would not stay again.

⭐☆☆☆☆ **A Five-Star Price for One-Star Competence** If this is what passes for a five-star hotel, I’d hate to see the four-star version. We arrived **two full hours after the official check-in time**, only to be told our room *wasn’t ready*. No apology worth mentioning, no explanation—just a shrug and an expectation that we’d wait around like this was perfectly normal. After paying premium rates, starting our stay in the lobby was not exactly the luxury experience advertised. It somehow got worse from there. **Our room was not cleaned a single day** of our stay—even though we were out all day, every day. No towels replaced, no bed made, no bins emptied. Nothing. We eventually had to **call and ask for housekeeping**, which feels ridiculous at a hotel that prides itself on “impeccable service.” To add insult to injury, when we ordered food, **the order was messed up**—wrong items, missing items, and zero urgency in fixing it. By the time it was corrected, the moment (and our appetite) had passed. And the staff? **Unfriendly, disengaged, and borderline annoyed** that we dared to expect basic service. No warmth, no professionalism, and certainly no sense that guests matter. This hotel may look luxurious in photos, but behind the polished façade is **disorganization, poor service, and a complete lack of accountability**. Calling this a five-star hotel is generous at best and misleading at worst. Save your money—and your patience—and stay somewhere that actually understands hospitality.

The hotel has really good decorations and friendly staff. The spa is average nothing special. The location was alright near to town.

It was a very good hotel. I will definitely choose this hotel whenever I come to Zurich again. Very polite, very friendly and very efficient staff. They do all your work. Here I would like to thank ( fanni ) for helping us a lot and doing everything she could to ensure we had a good stay.

The hotel had a beautiful decoration, the location is perfect not far from the city.  I was very well treated by the team. Grateful for the experience. Much success, VP
