Hotel muy bonito, elegante. Bien ubicado en el casco antiguo de Stone Town. La terraza superior tiene unas vistas preciosas a toda la ciudad. El desayuno es abundante y variado. Contras: el personal habla poco inglés y las habitaciones que dan a la calle son muy ruidosas.

La habitación era muy confortable, el hotel estaba limpio, la cama estaba muy cómoda, la conexión Wi-Fi estaba bien, el desayuno buffet era bueno, iam un vegetariano así que tenían una buena variedad de platos vegetarianos del menú del restaurante, General, me disfruté de mi estancia en el hotel.

I traveled to Zanzibar after climbing Kilimanjaro this past July and decided to stay at The Seyyida. I had originally booked this trip for 2020 but we all know how that story ended…The staff at The Seyyida were generous enough to move my booking to 2021, andddd then again to 2022 when my trekking group postponed the trip a second time (still due to Covid). The hotel itself is beautiful. I had a room with a ocean view and I felt like royalty. The bed was HUGE, the bathroom lovely, and the balcony (albeit small) offered a *STUNNING* view. They offer to spray mosquito repellent every night and, although I do highly recommend taking them up on this offer, it does have quite a lingering smell. So plan to be out of your room for dinner or a tour for a couple of hours. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful and offers an amazing view of the city and ocean. The hotel staff was nothing short of amazing. When my hair dryer broke, they found me another. When I needed more towels, they brought me them immediately. When my driver never showed up for a a tour I had booked, they arranged for a new tour and a driver was there in 5min. They mailed a postcard for me when I asked where the bearer post office was! They let me leave my suitcases there after I checked out because my ferry wasn’t until the afternoon—and they even helped me carry my *very* large duffel (from climbing the mountain) all the way to the ferry!!! I also had an amazing massage here on a rainy day when I wasn’t sure what to fill my day with. The front lobby is unreachable by car, but it is perfectly located, and quick/easy by foot to meet a driver on the road. Within walking distance of so much. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked lovely as well. It’s not very big, but big enough to sit and relax. Cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful front desk workers (and all other staff) and this beautiful place.

The location was perfect, very close to everything. And it was really quiet, what I didn't expect in Stonetown. The breakfast was delicious. The people were nice and helpful. I could check in early , when I arrived completely exhausted after my flight. The room was spacious and had everything you need.

Este hotel está idealmente situado en el viejo Stone Town, en medio de las pequeñas calles con sus pequeñas tiendas, cerca del mar y de sus buenos restaurantes y puertos para excursiones, Nos quedamos 2 días para visitar la ciudad donde estamos cansados de ser solicitados sin parar por los vendedores de tiendas o de otro tipo ...La recepción es muy agradable, nos hemos venido buscar al aeropuerto por 20 dólares, Las habitaciones son espaciosas y muy originales nos gustaba mucho que tuviéramos una habitación superior,buena relación calidad-precio,buen desayuno en el techo terraza.L hotel organiza transferencias a un buen precio.Para nosotros los puntos negativos :la cama muy dura y la ducha :poco agua .

Estuve dos noches alojado y si bien las instalaciones del hotel son buenas, en las excursiones que contratamos allí un poco nos estafaron porque cobran caro y solo en dólares, aparte de que luego tienes que pagar por tickets para ingresar a las excursiones y demás cosas que aparecen de sorpresa. El personal en general fue bueno, el unico inconveniente fue que al ser musulmanes, a mi mujer algunos de su personal la miraban medio mal y no la saludaban igual que a mí. La ciudad afuera es un caos, los vendedores ambulantes se te arrojan encima constantemente para querer vender, y resulta muyy agotador. En general la ciudad en la que está situado no me gustó, pasillos angostos, tipo favela y peligrosos de día y mas de noche (opinión puramente personal).

Aterrizar en Golden Tulip porque Trip.com me engañó mi reserva en otro lugar, y sólo en el último minuto lo descubrí. La ubicación está justo al puerto, en un lado de la ciudad que se siente bastante escéptica. Sin embargo, Stone Town es pequeña y segura, por lo que no importaba mucho. Las habitaciones son lo suficientemente agradables. Ellos tienen todo lo que necesitas. La piscina es hermosa y el servicio está bien. A veces tuve que preguntar más de una vez, llamar porque mi toalla había desaparecido, o guiarlos a través de mi propia cuenta. El restaurante es bastante malo. No soy un comido particularmente fussy, pero no siento la necesidad de comer malo. En mi primer día ordené tres platos de prueba, y no terminé nada. Otro viajero tenía una experiencia similar. El desayuno está bien. El hotel tiene un buen servicio de restauración, y el hotel tiene un buen servicio de restauración. La mayoría de los días, encontré el cereal (si lo tenían), fruta, y al menos una comida caliente comida.

Great service from staff. Stayed at Verde for 4 days and the entire experience was genuinely like nothing I have experienced before in my life. Watching the sunset from a balcony with a view of the docked ships and boats was a particular highlight as was swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. As for waiting staff, Leticia and Hidaya in particular were very helpful.

Excellent hotel in great location We used TA to choose hotel for our stay in Zanzibar as we were unsure in what location on the island to base ourselves As it worked out we were very pleased that we chose the Medinat Al Bahrain as our base. Excellent hotel, very quiet - in fact sometimes we felt as if we had the place to ourselves. Good food, great buffet breakfast and two restaurants to choose from on site. Conveniently located not far from airport especially after long connecting flight via Dubai ($10 cab fare) and same distance into Stonetown ($10 cab fare) Small public beach attached to hotel and a nice restaurant (Wooden Table) 100yds along beach After experiencing Stonetown we were glad that we stayed slightly out as the town is very busy and some hotels we first looked at could be hard to find down inaccessible (by vehicle) alleys. We did visit on a couple of occasions to do the walking tour and restaurants (Cape Town Fish Market - see separate review) - again location of hotel made visiting easy and there were a number of restaurants/bars that we could also have visited given the time. The hotel was also a good base for visiting other parts of the island which we did through Alsa Tours Zanzibar (reviewed separately) Issa (the concierge) arranged for us to meet Abdul (the owner) from Alsa Tours at the hotel who was our guide/driver for the tours that we did - prices were good and very competitive with other tour operators and more personal as tours in most cases were private We did (all reviewed separately): The North - Turtle Sanctuary/Kendra beach West - Spice Farm/Prison Island/Walking tour of Stonetown East - Butterfly Sanctuary/Jozani Forest/The Rock Restaurant South East - Safari Blue - boat trip/snorkelling/beach bbq Would say that the hotel was a great choice hotel was maticulously clean and the staff always friendly helpful and accommodating which made for a perfect stay Would highly recommend to any travellers to Zanzibar
