UUsuario invitadoWe were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

UUsuario invitadoAs a mom travelling with my two boys, (16 and 13) we had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful villa! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our incredible host Xianti (XT), his lovely mother, and the entire family. They were exceptionally kind, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout our entire visit. We stayed in the Triple Family Courtyard Room, which was not only beautifully decorated but also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Despite our late arrival, we were still able to order a meal from the aunties and wow, the food was outstanding! In fact, we ended up having lunch and dinner there every single day because it was just that delicious. Every meal felt like a lovingly prepared, home-cooked feast. We also had the pleasure of taking part in a tea ceremony, which was a serene and special experience. The tea was exquisite, and it was a lovely way to connect with the culture and surroundings. Another highlight was the recommendation to see Impression Da Hong Pao a next-level show that left us absolutely amazed. What made it even better was that our host arranged the tickets for us and had them delivered to the villa, so thoughtful and convenient! If you’re still hesitating, don’t! We can wholeheartedly recommend this villa. It truly felt like a home away from home in China 💖 and was the perfect base for exploring the breathtaking Wuyishan mountains. UUsuario invitadoFantastic 2-night stay at Da Fang Ju! 2 weeks prior to our arrival, the lady boss contacted us via wechat and helped us book show tickets and pick up from train station, and gave us a free upgrade to a bigger family suite. The private dining at Da Fang Ju serves good local food at affordable prices. There was also free flow of tea leave eggs and tidbits/snacks. Room charges were very affordable. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Wuyishan.

From the doorman, restaurant staff, electrician, to the drivers — everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. A special thanks to our Butler, Xiao Fang. She is such a lovely and caring lady — incredibly helpful, patient, and attentive. No matter what we requested, she always did her best to assist. I changed my boat-ride schedule multiple times, and she handled everything with so much patience and professionalism. Xiao Fang truly made our holiday more enjoyable and completely hassle-free. We would love to come back to this hotel again.

EenerihaisStayed at Wuyishan Guanlan Shuyuan Space for 2 nights over Christmas and the hospitality we received is top-notch. Every corner of the hotel is an art, especially the lobby area. Love that there is a walking path just behind the hotel and we had good morning walks there. The hotel pick up service from the train service was excellent, the food at hotel was amazing. We had a welcome tea and learnt alot about Chinese tea while waiting for our room to be ready. Several spaces to explore within this hotel, and lots to experience. We used their KTV, played a game of GO and had a tea ceremonial class. There’s free bikes for rental if you’d want to cycle at the park behind the hotel. Wanted to try their complimentary hanfu experience but didn’t have the time to do so. Only downside is that next to the hotel has some renovation ongoing but they aren’t a major blocker since the pros overweigh this con. Overall, it feels like an experience similar to a Japanese ryokan. Very holistic and cultural. Special shout out to 燕燕 and 舟舟 for their meticulous attention to our needs!

UUsuario invitadoWe feel genuinely torn writing this review. On the one hand, the hotel has many things going for it. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. Its location is also ideal if you plan to visit Wuyishan National Park or need convenient access to Wuyishan North train station. However, we were left feeling quite disappointed due to an issue that mattered a lot to us. We had explicitly reserved a non-smoking room. Upon arrival, we were given a room that very clearly smelled of smoke. There was even a burn mark on the desk from a cigarette, which made it obvious that someone had smoked in there despite any official classification of the room. We immediately asked to be changed, and while the staff politely insisted the room was non-smoking, they agreed to move us. Unfortunately, the second room was just the same, it also reeked of smoke. At that point, not wanting to make a scene, we reluctantly accepted the situation, but it felt incredibly disheartening. As non-smokers who are very sensitive to cigarette smell, this seriously affected our comfort and left us feeling like our concerns weren’t really taken seriously. Being moved from one smoking room to another right after raising the issue made it seem like there was no real effort to accommodate us, which was frustrating. All that said, apart from this issue, our stay was generally pleasant. If smoke sensitivity isn’t a major concern for you, this hotel could still be a good option. But for non-smokers, we’d advise confirming room options very clearly in advance and perhaps even reconsidering if that’s a dealbreaker.
