Deer Brook Inn

We had a wonderful five-star stay at Deer Brook Inn. The inn is tastefully decorated around bird and tree themes, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere without feeling cluttered. The furnishings are beautiful, comfortable, and functional. Our room, Room 2, had a comfortable bed, two cozy overstuffed chairs, and the entire bedroom was exceptionally clean. We also enjoyed talking with Carmen, whose calm and welcoming manner made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared, with fresh fruit, eggs, and bacon and pastries. Carmen is a talented chef who clearly takes great pleasure in cooking for her guests. The inn is conveniently located just a few minutes’ drive from downtown Woodstock. Its spacious grounds are especially appealing, with an outdoor dining patio, a fire pit, and lovely old fruit trees. As we were leaving, Carmen kindly invited us to pick a few ripe pears, which were delicious. Deer Brook Inn combines beautiful surroundings, gracious hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and an excellent breakfast. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

The Inn was a delight. A comfortable and welcoming room awaited us with fresh towels. Carmen greeted us at the door and helpful with ideas as we headed to Woodstock proper for dinner. Breakfast the next morning was tasty and filling, with fresh eggs from her own chickens! We were pleased with our overall experience.

The breakfast was outstanding … did I mention bacon? Great location close to town yet far enough away for serenity. Highly recommend the downstairs suite. Rated a 5 + 🙂

Outstanding accommodations and wonderful hosts. We loved getting to know Carmen and her Two precious helpers. The Inn was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent … did I mention bacon yet? Beautiful grounds and setting, close enough to town yet far enough away for serenity. 100% recommended!

This B and B was exceptional! Carmen was there to greet us the minute we arrived. The 1800's farmhouse was beautifully decorated and so warm and inviting. Carmen made delicious breakfasts each morning with locally sourced food including her own eggs and honey. I felt like we were part of a Hallmark movie! Conveniently located about 4 miles west Woodstock, so easy to navigate the area! Hoping to go back sometime and this B and B would be my first choice for places to stay! We had a wonderful 3- night stay at Deer Brook Inn. Our room (#2) was bright, well-appointed, quiet and comfortable. In fact, the same could be said about the entire inn. However, the highest marks should go to owner Carmen, who is warm, friendly, welcoming and communicative. She also makes a very good breakfast!

What a beautiful, well-appointed property! Lots of upgrades in this charming 200 plus year-old farm house. We will definitely return!

DeerBrook was everything we envisioned for our inaugural trip to New England. The inn is exceptionally cozy and situated just minutes away from the charming town of Woodstock. Carmen is a phenomenal host whose thoughtfulness shines through in every detail. From brewing a special pot of French press when she ran out of decaf pods, to lending us a backpack for our hike, and even remembering hot sauce for my breakfast, she exceeded every expectation. DeerBrook is quaint, comfortable, and feels like a true home away from home. Our sincere thanks to Carmen and her family!

My husband and I stayed at Deer Brook Inn during a vacation traveling through the New England States. It was an awesome experience...the location was perfect as well as the atmosphere at the inn. The host was very warm and welcoming and the check-in process was very well organized. We loved our room that my husband selected...it was perfect, clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. In addition to our bedroom, we had access to additional sitting areas, the dining area and a beautiful outside sitting area. The host has thought of EVERYTHING to make the inn inviting, comfortable, modern but quaint. The fridge in the dining area was stocked with various types of beverages. Home baked cookies and fruit were also made available to us. There was also coffee and tea. In the morning, our host provided a delicious homecooked breakfast and the presentation was beautiful as well. In our room was a notebook with tips and suggestions for visiting the town of Woodstock...restaurants, directions for scenic drives, etc., that we found very helpful!! We were so impressed with the excellent quality of service we received! We loved our experience so much that we plan to go back with our friends and family! A huge THANK YOU to our host for the warm, amazing hospitality and for providing such a lovely "home away from home"!!
