Premier Inn Barnsley (Dearne Valley)

Love staying at Premier inn. Very convenient and cost efficient. Doesn’t matter where in the country you are staying if you're staying with premier inn you know exactly what you are getting and what to expect. Never had a bad experience yet with premier inn and if weve ever had any kind of issues they’ve been sorted out immediately so not affected the stay. I have another 3 stays booked for this year. Premier inn is always my first point of call when looking for a basic few nights away and don’t need anything fancy or special.

This is the second year we have stayed at this premier inn and we we're really pleased to see that Katy was still working here in the restaurant. We love her sense of humour and friendly banter with the customers. She does a fantastic job looking after everyone and making them feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and Katy is a real asset to the company. We look forward to seeing her next year.

The lady on reception was incredibly lovely. I’d had a terrible meal in a very unfriendly pub and I needed some loveliness to cheer up my day and she did just that. I’d quite like to send her a letter of thanks but a Trip Advisor review is the next best thing I hope.

I've been staying here for over a year now and it's been a pleasure staying 95% are very helpful and friendly (Becky/ameena) I've always got a room allocated on the ground floor due to old age lol The room always meets my expectations it's clean and tidy and a bonus is it has a smart tv I will miss the staff 😢

Awful hotel, soundproofing non existent. We could hear guests above us at 5am getting ready for their day, including a drip drop from the shower ( they weren’t exceedingly noisy) told receptionist at 9am, she said we should have come to reception at 5am and she would have told them to be quiet! They’re entitled to move around their room! They weren’t banging around, just ordinary moving. If she’d have told me to be quiet I definitely would have told her where to go! I have messaged a complaint, but no response so far. The restaurant was shut, which we knew, and the workmen weren’t working at the time, but the promised pastries weren’t there

The main reason for choosing this hotel was because of the adjoining Brewers Fayre pub, with the restaurant and children's play area, but unfortunately it is no longer managed by them and mostly closed down, that said the hotel was still to a high standard, friendly and clean, may stay there again in the future if visiting the RSPB site but would eat out somewhere.
