Premier Inn Bristol Sidcot (A38)

Excellent stay here. Staff friendly and attentive. Room Clean and Comfy. View was excellent. Close to Cheddar Gorge and Weston Super Mare. Though hot breakfast wasn't buffet style, it was excellent quality. Will be staying here again

A one night stopover on the way to Dorset, this was an ideal location to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and we were well rested the next morning. One thing spoiled the stay. In common with most people we allowed plenty of time for our long journey. We encountered very few problems and arrived early. We decided to have something to eat and around 2.30pm asked if we could check in. The receptionist was almost joyful as he said 'no, it's not 3 o'clock yet. But you could pay £10 to get in now'. I have always found Premier Inns to be flexible, within reason, so this was just not acceptable. I can understand this policy if someone arrives an hour or more early, but this was just cynical attempt to make money. I will consider other options for any future trips I make.

The staff were excellent and service superb. So 5 stars on that front ! BUT The rooms ( no 4 & no 1 ) were nicely appointed and bed very comfy. But both rooms, on entering, gave an overwhelming stench of damp. Room 4 was by far the worst. It smelt mouldy/musty and the air felt damp also. I cannot believe that you allow this room to continue to be used. it is one of your "accessible" rooms which means it may be occupied by disabled persons who may have respiratory conditions like emphysema, COPD & asthma etc. If you can smell mould/damp in a room it means spores and particles from them are floating round in the room and being inhaled. This is totally unacceptable for ANY of your rooms least of all one deemed suitable for guests with disability issues/respiratory conditions. If the hotel had not been fully booked I would have asked for a different rooms.

Plus point they gave us a bag with a pot noodle in when we arrived (?!) Minus point woken at quarter to seven by delivery driver right outside window incredibly loud spoiling any chance of sleeping. Noise continued unabated for further half an hour or so

These four stars are all about the room and staff. The staff here went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and well catered for. The room was quiet, comfortable and spacious as a family room needs to be. We ate in the brewer’s fare next door for breakfast and dinner. Staff here were also good but the quality of food and drinks was poor in most respects. If I was just reviewing the food here it would be a one star. Was very disappointed with taste and quality.

The staff are so lovely. We had a great time, exactly what we wished for. Brilliant ! As we arrived, the lady in the desk gave me a book and said she would put money in the collection pot for me. The beds were comfortable and clean, and the kitchen team were lovely.

Stunning scenery, stunning building and super friendly staff! Clean, tidy, couldn't fault it. Simple but more than adequate and lots of character.

Our flight was 7.30am and we had to arrive for check-in at 5.30am, we were a family of 4 adults and 2 children so close proximity to the airport was essential along with parking two vehicles. We had booked a family room and a double room which were next to each other. Excellent night's sleep, Brewers Fayre was brilliant for us all as the youngest was 5 and a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport. Excellent - Highly recommend.

Stayed for one night prior to an early morning flight from Bristol Airport and the hotel's proximity to the airport allowed us to use the twilight bag drop option the evening before we flew. Our accommodation (Room 1) was clean and in decent condition and exceptionally quiet allowing for a great night's sleep the evening before we travelled. We did not have breakfast. Even though we stayed on a Saturday night and the adjoining Brewers Fayre eatery was relatively busy, there was ample car parking. My only negative would be the overall condition of the rooms and corridors which are looking a little tired. In conclusion, one of the better Premier Inns we have used and an excellent reasonably priced option before an early flight from Bristol. We would undoubtedly use this establishment again.
