Very helpful, great location for walking into Winchester, has car parking, payable at £7.50 for 24 hours. Very comfortable bed. Only downside was we couldn't get a glass with ice from reception just after 11pm.

Stayed for a night in Winchester, place is around 8 mins walk from the train station so it is very convenient. However, the roads to it is quite dark especially in the late evening or night hence may not be suitable for solo travellers. Otherwise, it is indeed a very nice hotel and I am very very pleased.

I had a great time at the Hotel and Spa - all of the facilities were clean and appealing. I loved the art deco feel and the spa was amazing - spacious and well maintained. All staff members that I encountered were pleasant and helpful. Great location for train station and town. My only suggestion would be to make the bar more appealing, perhaps subtle showing of some sports or entertainment - with so many other local pubs and bars there was nothing to keep me in the hotel bar. 

Little noisey above room with floor boards also noisey with pipework in bathroom next to bed during the night. But bed was excellent room was great hotel was great everything else great

When we arrived at just gone 2pm, the receptionist said only one of our rooms was available. I commented that this wasn't very good and the receptionist told ne we weren't supposed to check in until 3pm. My confirmation said 2pm, so the receptionist said if you can prove it then I'll try to do something about it! Not a response I expected, not very professional, but I showed him my email to satisfy the receptionist. We had people in our party that needed to lie down mid-afternoon, so check-in time was more important that normal. Our room had no windows, just a draughty fire door with obscure glass, so you couldn't see out. The bathroom had a skylight with a blind pulled down on it - there was heaps of dust on the blind, so everytime I went in there, I was waiting for a load of dust to fall on me - it didn't, but it wasn't very pleasant. We booked our rooms several weeks in advance, and on the Saturday night there was a function going on. The music was so loud that we couldn't get to sleep until midnight when the music stopped. In the morning at breakfast the poached eggs had obviously been kept warm for a long time and were solid. Also at breakfast, the coffee machine wasn't working and they ran out of hot water for cups of tea. That's fair enough, but after the hot water was replenished, I went to get a cup of tea and there was no hot water again. I ended up giving up, since they couldn't keep up with the demand for hot water. We had decided to pay a bit more for a hotel that was supposedly a bit more up market - we were really disappointed.

Staff where excellent. They could do enough to help The bed was two beds put together. So no idea. No space pillows. Food we only had breakfast, lots of choice Not sure what they had done to the water to make a cup of tea. But had a unpleasant taste

Although rooms weren’t available at check in time there was only a slight delay and reception staff were excellent.

The hotel room was clean and quite spacious. Our main issue was that the check in time stated on Trip.com booking was 2pm. Whereas the hotel check in time was 3pm. So we had to wait in the lobby for a considerable time before being given a room. Additionally they were running late with housekeeping and we got the room only at 3.15pm. Which wasn't great as waiting with a tired kid wasn't convenient at all. I did highlight to the reception about the check in discrepancy but not sure if they corrected this online. They were friendly enough but there was no apology provided for the inconvenience and the wait. Otherwise it's a nice hotel with a spa attached.

Few niggles but fantastic stay overall especially the Spa service! Didn’t order food or try the restaurant so can’t comment on that. Toilet facilities fully equipped with essentials you might be missing, like toiletries for women, dry shampoo and deodorant. I’ve never seen this at any other hotel I’ve stayed in, so it’s a nice touch! Close to the station which is a bonus, a little walk to the city centre with plenty of places to eat.

The room is well equipped, the spa quite a treat after a long day of travelling. Staff is friendly and helpful in general. My room got a power outage prabably due to a tripped circuit. The hotel sent help quickly, and offered to change my room to next door, after a few failed tries of restarting the power. The stay was a bit more eventful than normal but satisfactory all in all.

Things could be improved. The check in routine is unnecessary- not one room will be released until exactly 15.00 hours. The rooms are small and with the black furniture, carpet and curtains the are a bit depressing.

We had a lovely 4-night stay. The hotel was conveniently located near the city centre, making it easy for us to explore on foot. We didn’t indulge in the spa treatments, but the breakfast was absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

We were looking for a place to stay whilst we visited Winchester and decided to go here. The room was spacious and the air con was lovely on a very hot day. The bed was lovely and comfortable and was nice and clean. Will definitely book you again to experience the spa side of things in the future
