Cozy suite with modern amenities located at the Black Pearl of Paradise

Great communication from the host and very responsive to a small issue. Easy and clear access instructions.

We have stayed here multiple times now. Awesome destination for snowmobiling. Situated between two trails (8 and 45) with one being directly across the street. Easy to get fuel, food, and trail access. Room was clean and ready to go. Response from the host was fast and courteous. We will definitely be back again too.

Overall, Black Pearl is a great spot for a winter retreat, 15 minutes from Tahquamenon, and a perfect location for those wanting to hike or snowshoe to the falls. The host was helpful and answered the couple of questions I had for them. Have had my VRBO account for years and have used many times, but there was a glitch logging into the system so I could not access messages from the host and had trouble accessing the code and thus getting in. VRBO helped tremendously solve the issue and I was finally able to get in. The room was very nice and warmed up once I learned how to use the electric fireplace/heater. Didn't see any written instructions. After a long day in the snow, I picked up food from a nearby mart only to find there was no microwave in the unit. Pulled out by 9:30. Any more snow and I may not have gotten out of the driveway.

Our stay was great, the location was excellent for restaurants, those that still operate anyway. (Shout out to the folks at the goat locker!) It was close to the falls, the shipwreck museum and the beach. The room was cozy for sure.

The room was very nice, however the air freshener was to strong and bad for allergies. Would recommended not having one or a lighter scent.

What a cute little stay! This was PERFECT and exactly what we needed. Very small, but that was fine! You can tell this property has recently been renovated. All amenities within the unit were new, and everything was very clean. Looks like they are still putting the finishing touches on a few things (ceiling wasn't finished, outside door trim still needed attention.) But seriously, that is my only feedback - and it's nit picking. We would 100% stay here again!!

So this place was sorta odd - it seems like it was a pole barn converted into 3 rental units. There is no heating or cooling except for a box fan or the electric fireplace (which we couldn't figure out how to turn on). Bring your own shampoo and conditioner, etc, its not a hotel room. But it was quite clean and the property owner communicated promptly, and we had no other issues with our stay.

The location was okay. Very close to a diner with a great selection of food. The listing said there was a stove, microwave and dishwasher. None of these were there just a small refrigerator. This worked ok for us since it was just one night. The place was decorated nice and had a great shower.

Nice. Smaller than I expected but clean and comfortable. I would have liked more towels, and some shower gel/shampoo/conditioner.
