Watford (Croxley Green)

The location is not very good, not close to the tube.

Lovely room. Stayed before a Watford FC home game. Perfect as usual. Great night's sleep! Food at Brewers Fayre was delicious 😋 👌🏻

Lovely lady at check in, room was fine no air con but a fan was provided Public areas in hotel were way too warm One broken lift meaning it took a while to get up and down at times Now breakfast was a joke 30 minutes we were going back and forwards to the hot buffet and it was empty so we didn’t get to eat No pastries or bread etc Juices are cheap not the nice ones they used to provide No cups Breakfast staff were ridiculously slow and uninterested Location of hotel was good we were going to Warner bros studios so worked well however would of been nice to get our breakfast before we went

Comfortable room and space, just a shame they put us on the side of the hotel right next to the main road!! Very basic even for a premier inn, but that was reflected in the price, breakfast seemed chaotic, one coffee machine and constantly running out of juice and hot foods. I’d use it again because of the price and location (harrry Potter studios is 10 mins away) just not as good as other premier inns we’ve used

Great room which was clean. All facilities that we needed were there. Can’t fault the room for the price and there was plenty of parking spaces which was free. Only little gripe was with the breakfast the next day, one member of staff trying to serve and clear. The restaurant was clearly busy as it was the Easter holidays and being very close to Harry Potter World. She was clear stressed and rushed off her feet. Breakfast was tasty but off a hot plate, all other Breakfast’s we’ve had in restaurants attached to Premier inns have been cooked to order. That could be again because the lack of staff. Management don’t be so tight and get more staff in - at £10.99 a breakfast you can afford it.

Great location for us, very tired decor and looks really run down. Entrance outside filthy, windows in and out filthy, lift doors filthy. We had to get a room change as the toilet and sink had not been cleaned. Only one lift was working and everyone was complaining about it, one man said he stayed 6 months ago and the lift wasn’t working then.

Firstly I'd like to start by saying I'm normally praising Premier Inn stays! However this time I'm not! Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights here. There was very limited parking at the hotel as it was mainly taken up by many working vans. We stayed on the 1st floor at the hotel. The room was ok with comfortable beds as you get with all premier inns. The lifts at this hotel are a nightmare! They take forever to arrive and just continue to go up to every floor even when no one has pressed for it. We were fed up and took the stairs!! The stairs had an awful stench of what I'd described as rotten nappies. There was vomit at the bottom of the stairs and up the wall. It's not been cleaned and it is just linging up the wall! Breakfast on our 1st morning was the icing on the cake! 1 member of staff working on her own! No water, no orange juice, no sauce, no clean tables, hot food missing. We had to move dirty plates and cups from the table to another to sit down. Had to get out own cutlery from a cutlery box on a staff trolley. The lady was so stressed out because she was on her own! She was having to turn away 'walk ins' I thought she was going to have a break down because so many people were asking her for things! She couldn't do anymore than she was doing! Not before removing a broomstick from her rear end anyway! They need to employ some staff at the hotel to fix the many issues. We also had an issue where we couldn't get our card to work on our 2nd night. The light indicator just displayed red. Another trip down the stinky stairs and the receptionist wasn't impressed when we told her! She asked if we were in a rush to get in our room? We were trying to get our daughters coat! We ended up taking her without it as the Lady said ghe batteries needed changing in the door and it will take a while. I'd definitely not stay at this Premier inn again!

The usual Premier Inn standard and quality. Clean, warm and inviting. Polite staff. Good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. Excellent location. Near to Harry Potter Studio tours and near to Watford tube station and Watford junction overground services too.
