PROS:
Stood here for the weekend with my partner. Aesthetically, the hotel is super artsy, fun, and pleasing to the eye. The decor and appearance screams chic, quirky, and metropolitan. From the lobby, adorned with all manners of interesting books, odd trinkets, and colorful sculptures, to the cute, cozy outdoor sitting space filled with pretty greenery, I could not stop raving about this hotel the entire trip.
The style of the rooms could very much be described as a European “take” on the well-known Japanese “Pod” style hotels. The rooms were concise (not cramped) and had a sleek, modern, and minimalistic style of furniture (desk with chair, bench, vanity w/sink, bed-frame with built in storage space).
Think “IKEA meets stylish, retro Japanese pod hotel”. If that makes sense. LOL.
Plus everything in the room is controlled using an iPad which I think it pretty flipping cool. SMART TV in the room, as well, meaning unlimited access to YouTube, Netflix, or pretty much anything that can stream from your phone/device which is perfect after a long day exploring the city.
(You can also change the color of the mood lighting in the room via the IPad which provided my boyfriend and I with hours of entertainment pretending we were post apocalyptic humans trapped in some green-tinted “Twilight Zone” style alien bunker)
Also, if you prefer a hard mattress, you will find the hotel bed very comfortable.
During our time here, we had easy access to a LOT of good food. There’s 2 restaurants inside the hotel as well as a really great Middle Eastern restaurant directly across the street. (I approve of their falafel and roasted sweet potatoes. Very good). There are so many cultural and ethnic restaurants in the immediate area for those who are adventurous eaters. There’s even a pretty nice Trader Joe’s around 4 blocks away for stocking the hotel room with healthy snacks and beverages (a must).
Plus Union Market is pretty close to the hotel. I wouldn’t miss it if I were you. Big hall with lots of food vendors and even a little shopping. Even if you aren’t looking to eat and just want to kill a little time, it’s still interesting to walk around and see the cool and unique foods they sell. Soak up the little local color.
Overall, it was a totally unique and memorable hotel experience that was totally worth the cost.

Este hotel tiene el Mejor personal de servicio al Cliente en todas las áreas, es súper lindo, la limpieza espectacular y la vista desde las habitaciones muy buenas, lo único que no me gusto es que está en un área donde por lo Menos yo no me sentí segura caminando, hay muchas personas homeless en esa zona y eso hace el salir a caminar o por lo menos para nosotros un poco incómodo, pero está muy bien ubicado, a poca distancia de todos los lugares de interés en carro.

The hotel is huge and one of the more affordable one around DC. The aircon in the room is a little noisy but the operation guy came and says that’s the way it is. I asked for kettle to boil water and it came quite quickly though.
There’s a usd20 surcharge per room per night but you can offset by meals in the hotel. The front desk also provides bottled water FOC upon request. Overall an ok stay.

El hotel no tiene un spa o piscina para que sea necesario ser reparado. El hotel tiene excelentes alojamientos! El bar AKB es fantástico y tiene un hh. El desayuno es genial. Los moffes frescos son juguetes! Porque en el bar es una joya! Los pantalones y Robes también eran un extra agradable!

Este hotel luce muy bien por fuera pero es totalmente una estafa! El personal de recepción es e peor que vi en mi vida! El hotel por dentro es viejo y no pidas que te limpien la habitación porque no lo van a hacer! Vinimos un grupo grande por la universidad de mi esposo, todos TODOS todos tuvimos problemas! Puse una queja se disculparon pero recien terminaron de colmar mi paciencia! Estuvimos 4 noches alojados ahi, llegamos 1.30 pm la habitación no estuvo lista hasta 4pm, una amiga me aviso que teniamos que pedir que limpien el cuarto porque cuando nos registraron no nos lo dijeron, todos los dias que lo pedi tuvieron una excusa diferente ejemplo: el servicio es hasta la 1 pm, no tenemos personal suficiente y hasta llegaron a decirme que no limpiaban cuartos que si necesitaba una toalla limpia me la podian dar, hice una queja con el manager se disculparon y el ultimo dia la limpiaron. El teléfono de la habitación nunca funciono, se de otros cuartos donde funcionaba pero nunca nadie atendio la llamada La gente del bar es mala onda y mal educada. Nadie nos aviso que si queres usar el gym tenes que reservar. Un dia una amiga que estaba en otra habitación no podia entrar al cuarto, yo estaba esperandola en recepción y ella para no bajar con la bebe me pidio que pidiera en recepción que alguien fuera a ayudarla en vez de ir me dieron a mi dos tarjetas de una habitación que NO ERA LA MIA SIN PEDIRME NINGUNA IDENTIFICACIÓN, el ultimo dia volvi al hotel sin mi esposo, quise entrar a la habitación y la tarjeta no funcionaba, pedi en recepción otra, me pidieron identificación y como yo no estaba registrada en la habitación PORQUE NUNCA ELLOS ME HICIERON EL CHECK IN no me querian dejar entrar! El personal esta mal entrenado unos fueron entrenados para la CIA y otros para el kiosco de la esquina! Muchas veces en recepción no hay nadie NO VALE LO QUE SALE SINCERAMENTE UN DESASTRE
