Valoraciones de Lelewatu Resort Sumba

Con una hermosa ubicación sobre el acantilado, el resort ofrece una espectacular vista al mar incluida en la villa. La habitación es espaciosa, rústica y está decorada con mucho gusto. Incluye bañera y ducha, minibar y aire acondicionado. La piscina infinita y el patio/salón al aire libre son perfectos si solo desea relajarse en la villa. No pierda de vista el océano para avistar delfines. Con suerte, podría verlos nadando por la mañana. El personal es muy amable, servicial y siempre dispuesto a ayudarle. El desayuno en general es delicioso, aunque una pequeña mejora en la salsa holandesa que acompaña a los huevos Benedict le dará un sabor más agradable la próxima vez (estaba un poco agria). Otra sugerencia: quizás podría considerar servir las tostadas aparte en lugar de con los huevos encima para el desayuno, para evitar que el pan quede pastoso, especialmente para el servicio a la habitación. Además, es el lugar ideal para consentirse mientras explora la belleza de Sumba. ¡Muy recomendable!

Mi esposa y yo nos alojamos 12 días en Lelewatu Resort. ¡La experiencia fue fantástica, con las vistas y el servicio, magnífico! Durante nuestra estancia, pudimos rejuvenecer nuestra mente y alma con el sonido de las olas rompiendo en la orilla. Quiero felicitar al personal de servicio: Wanto, Anton, Alin y a todo el personal que nos brindó un servicio excelente. ¡En especial a Colin, el gerente de operaciones, quien se tomó el tiempo de explicarnos todo lo que podíamos hacer y experimentar durante nuestra estancia en Sumba y Lelewatu Resort! Por recomendación de Colin, visitamos las playas de la zona, cuevas, acantilados, arrozales y cascadas. ¡Gracias por hacer de nuestro aniversario de bodas un recuerdo inolvidable!

Aunque fueron necesarios tres vuelos para llegar allí, definitivamente valió la pena. El paisaje era tan hermoso, el servicio fue especialmente bueno, recordaban el nombre de todos y nos quedamos en el hotel por muy poco tiempo, por lo que se sintió como un paquete de hotel.

I stayed in the Dekixe Room Ocean View for 2 nights as I was doing private tour and be out most of the day. The room was exceptionally bigger than expected, I got the 2nd floor corner room which had a nice view of the ocean and you can hear the waves crashing at night. Pros: Big room, nice view and quiet Cons: It's not very clean as unfortunately there isn't a netting over the bed so I come back from tour with gecko poop on bed. A few creatures in the room (small gecko, flying insects, baby roaches and huge spider) - all is fine as they don't bother you much but u did chase the spider out of the room. I upgraded to One Bedroom Pool Villa Ocean View for the last day as it's my birthday treat and that was a big difference! Room was gigantic with the most epic views, the pool was awesome and overlooked the ocean. I ordered room service and sat by the poolside for lunch which was amazing. You still get some bugs though but least it's manageable and some visit by a couple of baby crabs which I thought was quite interesting. Again, they're all very harmless as long as you leave them be. Staff also surprised me with a birthday cake and they decorated the room and that was special! They're super friendly and sweet. Understand they may have some bad reviews but my experience didn't disappoint. Hotel has been around since 2017 and Covid affected the biz and property is huge so of cause maintenance for everything is never easy esp in Sumba. Overall, I will definitely visit again and would just stay in the One Bedroom Pool Villa Ocean View as it's just gorgeous! Special thanks to Grace, Ayu, Gina & the amazing friendly staffs there! 🫶🏻

During family holiday in Sumba, my husband spent most of the days in the hotel room for busy working. He also tended to only eat 1 meal per day, because breakfast was far from the villa and He didn't have time to go there and back... When we ordered room service breakfast, the housekeeping that was cleaning the room already removed it unbeknownst to my husband and before he could eat it...

We have loved our stay at Lelewatu and feel very grateful to have been able to experience staying there. We stayed in a cliff pool view villa, the view is spectacular, the villa itself is so beautifully designed and very clean. The pool is a nice size, very clean and has such a beautiful outlook. The bathtub is lovely overlooking the ocean and fills up very fast with clean water. The bed is comfortable with soft and clean linen. The staff are all very helpful and kind and we really have enjoyed all meals that have been lovingly prepared and delivered to our room. As we were celebrating our anniversary the staff organised a beautiful table setting for dinner which was such a kind gesture. Although neither of these two things would deter us from staying again they are worth noting. 1 the villa floor itself is noticeably unlevel and tilts down a little towards the back wall of the villa. 2 If you are a surfer this location does prove a little difficult and the hotel itself does not have a boat for transfers nor were they able to supply us with a rental bike that has a surfboard rack. As my husband is an experienced rider and has previous experience of navigating in rural areas using google maps he managed, although the trips to find the waves were not too comfortable without having a surfboard rack. If you have your own car or rent a car with a driver that is familiar with the area this may be fine for you to get to the local surf spots which are all around 30 minutes from the hotel. There is surf at nearby Nihi however that beach is private for hotel guests only. This is an ideal resort for honeymooners, couples of families looking for peace and tranquility.

Nice & neat room, friendly staff, marvelous scenery to enjoy

Beautiful hotel! There are only a few resort type hotel on the islandZ and this worth every buck to spend the day chilling in the room, by the pool and ordering room service. Food quality is great. Staffs are nice. Also there are not many restaurant options on the island. And we were able to see the milky way right from the room. Stunning!

Lelewatu is an example of understated luxury in Sumba Island, which is much off the beaten track compared to other parts of Indonesia. The staff is very attentive but low key at the same time. The restaurant is great, especially on local choices. The villas are spacious with really high ceilings, a great pool and plenty of privacy. Will miss sleeping at the sound of the waves.

Beautiful location and villas, food at the restaurant is good. Service was good until they asked me for an outrageous amount when I asked for an additional blanket. That sort of ruined the experience but everything else was super nice.

This place was stunning! The views, the room, the staff all were top quality. The food could be improved but very good considering the lack of restaurants in the area. Thank you for an amazing stay.
