Un hotel de ensueño una maravilla, los jardines, las vistas al lago, para nosotras un inolvidable recuerdo. Tanto Lola como yo recibimos un magnífico recibimiento por parte de Renzo, gran profesional, muy amable y con un trato excelente al cliente. Gracias Renzo.

El hotel es bonito, el check in era a ñas 2 nos dieron una habitacion a las 5, estuvimos esperando y no nos dieron, luego el desayuno estuvo muy bien, el hotel es lindo pero su servicio fue malo al final para bajarnos las maletas 30 minutos.. 😖😖 creo que el precio versus su servicio es malo

Pros: - incredible view - they upgraded us to a room with a balcony - complimentary taxi service to and from Varenna station - polite staff - excellent location - grill restaurant is quite good. In particular the Sacher dessert was excellent - outside restaurant area has an incredible view - we were granted free entry to Villa Cipressi, which was very kind Cons: - Lunch restaurant outside is really quite poor. Our food took a long time to arrive, and the fillet was lukewarm. Re-made and still lukewarm. Rather expensive, might I add. - The swimming pool looked dirty. We did not use it

Ugo Rossi, the hotel concierge, had booked a car for us to take to the train station in Milan where we would proceed toVenice. There was a serious accident that day and all traffic came to a standstill, meaning our driver couldn't get to us in time. Ugo sprung into action and managed to convince the driver to take us all the way to Venice so we wouldn't miss our concert and birthday dinner plans. He was calm and extremely competent, as well as warm and engaging. I don't think we'll ever forget him!

This was a wonderful hotel. Historic, beautiful and right on the water. We were here at an extremely hot period and grateful for the air conditioning. Breakfast was included which was lovely. The view from our balcony overlooking the lake- amazing. Lovely beautiful historic hotel.

There is an old world charm to the hotel and the staff was helpful. The Church bell goes off at 7am so try not to be on that side if you’re not an early riser. There is a convenience store within easy walking distance. We were here on a Rick Steves tour. The ferry is less than a 10 minute walk.

We arrived at the start of the season but that didn’t matter. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. We stayed in an executive junior suite with lake views and it was spectacular. The room was absolutely perfect and house keeping were very attentive.

We stayed in a Lakefront Room with a View and WOW was it worth the extra price. Absolute paradise. Quiet with only the sounds of the birds waking you in the morning with a stunning view. I'm kind of a "picky" bed person and this one was just great, very comfortable (not to stiff or to soft). The staff was very helpful (even made a gluten free meal for my spouse and opened dining early for us). And oh by the way, the food was fantastic.

Stay in Varenna and not Bellagio - and stay at this hotel! Excellent boutique hotel with drop-dead gorgeous views and friendly staff. We only stayed two nights but wish it could have been longer. Make sure you take advantage of the free shuttle from the train station if you arrive via train (it can also drop you off at the ferry terminals). Also, make sure to visit the gardens at the neighboring Villa Cipressi (free admission is included with your hotel stay). And don't miss Osteria Quatro Pass for dinner.
