We had a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Mudra while hosting a wedding function for our sister. The spacious and clean rooms, peaceful Sarnath location, excellent service, and delicious, customizable food made the experience even better. The entire team was professional and courteous, with Mr. Ajay and Mr. Rana providing exceptional support from booking to seamless event coordination. We are happy with our choice and highly recommend the hotel for both stays and special occasions.

The accommodation was clean and spacious. The restaurant was adequate. Service was very poor. Staff were very poorly trained and did not seem to know what service with smile meant. We ordered a desert that did not arrive after waiting for 20 mins.

Quite possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. When I arrived in the early hours of the morning the receptionist almost refused to let me in because there was a typo in the name supposed by my travel agent. There’s no welcome to the hotel or anything like that - you just feel like a nuisance to them. The doormen and cleaners were lovely though so no complaints with them. Fridge didn’t work and a king size bed (instead of twin beds) was not provided despite being promised to me on arrival for the second night. On my second night I was dropped off by an Uber driver who came in demanding money. I said my credit card payment was still pending, but the hotel receptionist (claiming to be called Mukesh) raised his voice and intimated me into paying INR582 (the amount the driver was claiming). I was shocked that the receptionist of the hotel I was staying at immediately took the side of the Uber driver and completely dismissed me. In the end I paid the money and then I was issued a full receipt by Uber when the original digital payment went through for INR421 (including a INR50 tip from me!) that had been processed by my credit card. It appears that the Uber driver never marked the journey as complete before demanding the inflated sum from me. This isn’t my home country, and when staying abroad the least I expect is impartiality from the hotel. When I said this the receptionist didn’t seem to care. He then started laughing when I said that I wanted an apology. I can only imagine how terrifying it would be if you actually needed help from the reception at Hotel Mudra. The receptionist refunded my money when I explained the situation but this event (and my poor treatment) should never have happened. My advice is to save yourself from a lot of unhappiness and intimidation and book elsewhere.

Travelled ***** with Family , our family members made stay arrangements at The Mudra Hotel, and we just loved the Hospitality and Food of the Hotel. Overall staff was very cooperative and GM is the Gem of the Hotel.

One of the standout features of Hotel Mudra is its commitment to personalized service. The staff are not only professional but also incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with travel plans, local recommendations, and even arranging special experiences like boat rides or cultural performances. The rooftop restaurant deserves special mention. It offers a panoramic view of the Ganges River and the ancient cityscape, making it an ideal spot to enjoy delicious local and international cuisine. Watching the sunrise or sunset from there feels almost spiritual.
