Nice breakfast

各方面都不錯，服務太差了，前台很不耐煩，因為有個會議，需要延適退房，跟前台溝通時説不行，今天全滿房了，所以衹能且必須十二點前退房，結果退房時攜程上再看了一下，完全沒有滿房，於是就直接當著她的麪預訂了當天的房間，她面無表情的辦完退房，又幫我辦理了入住，這個體驗真的太差了！

房間乾淨整潔

Whilst I had been somewhat hesitant of our impending stay due to previous comments about staff, cleanliness and parking, all were proven to be unwarranted. The receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful, even securing a dinner reservation in a nearby restaurant for 11 of us on a Saturday. Parking, I can see may be an issue and as we had a roof box I was worried about where to park, however we parked easily on the road, even with a town event going go. Yes we drove around twice but this wasn’t an issue. Cars seem to move quite frequently and the other 2 families who travelled with us also parked without issue. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the aircon kept them cool. We also had an upgrade to the privilege suite which was superb. The bar was reasonably stocked and comfortable and whilst there’s no restaurant, there is one next door and plenty in the town, Breakfast had plenty of variety and was exceptional. 10/10 for the whole stay!

All in all a good hotel, but nothing stands out - but I must say the size of the rooms are very good. Otherwise it is a little frustrating as it is not easy to park and it does not offer any kind of evening meal possibilities that limits its versatility if using it for business. On my room (123) the external window handle broke off and it looks like it has been broken a while, and the aircon is turned off - a shame as now it gets warm and the sun comes right through the window, making the rooms very warm——- Breakfast is good, typical. All in all, better than the Ibis around the corner, but not wow either.

It’s my 1st time visiting France recently in Sept 2022 and had a few surprises from this hotel that I have never encountered in my years of traveling the world. Not sure if it’s a culture or service that I have yet to understand. Some pros: - Room was a good size w/ clean sheets, towels & good water pressure - arrived early at 8am & was check-in promptly. even had the chance to enjoy the breakfast - breakfast was a decent spread; I especially & thoroughly enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice from the machine. A good vitamin booster during the endemic :0 - helpful service staff who spoke good English to organize our taxi back to Belgium. The cons (based on what I am used to when I visit America or Asia) - the service staff ie front office, serving members of the breakfast lounge look comfortable enjoying breakfast with the hotel guests. Something I am not used to. They also looked comfortable talking and laughing loudly where there were clearly hotel guests trying to have a decent quiet breakfast. I was there for 4D/ 3N and always had the displeasure of having breakfast with the staff members. - I was told this is the best hotel within the city but I have seen better design & service from mercure before (ie Bangkok, Indonesia, etc.) Overall, a good stay but peculiar in their service.

I was in France for a training course and this hotel was recommended by the trainer as a good place to stay and she was not wrong. It's very well situated with lots of restaurants and shops within short walking distance. The room itself was larger than I expected for a European hotel and was very clean and well kept with a comfortable bed and good amenities. I didn't have to interact that much with the staff but check in/check out was smooth. I checked out early in the morning and the person on the front desk offered me a coffee to go which I greatly appreciated. Breakfast buffet had everything I needed to start my day and the tables were cleared very quickly. Overall it was a great stay. On a related note, I didn't get to see much of Valenciennes as I was in class all day and the time of year meant short days but what I saw was stunning. It's a beautiful place that has a more authentic feel to it than the larger cities in France and I'm already planning a trip for my wife and I to really get a chance to explore the whole place.

Ich war 3 Tage im Mercure Hotel. Ein gutes Hotel im Citycenter von Valeciennes. Die Zimmer sind neu und sauber. Es gibt eine Klimanlage in den Räumen. Nur die Abrechnung beim Check-out war etwas zäh.

À la base : une réservation désinvolte, un accueil de soir d’orage avec un désengagement total Aucun geste commercial Un avis publié sur Google Une réponse par mail pleine de bonne volonté en apparence 2 avis « spontanés » rajoutés le même jour mentionnant même le nom de la personne de l’accueil et relevant son service 5 étoiles De la manipulation au manque de sincérité et pire C’est ce type de comportement qu’il faut dénoncer

Très bel hôtel en plein centre ville. Petit déjeuner très varié et copieux. Personnel sympathique et à l’écoute. Chambre très agréable et spacieuse. Très bon rapport qualité /prix. Bar très feutré avec un excellent champagne. Expérience à renouveler.

Très bien situé en plein centre ville chambre confortable lit super grand salle de bains super agréable l accueil le bar rien a dire je reviendrai lors de mes prochains passages je n ai pas autre chose à dire cet hôtel est une bonne référence sur la ville de Valenciennes
