"Lovely hotel, super friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, bed was super comfy. Great location for exploring Oxford. The tea making facilities are odd. There are no kettles in the bedroom, instead you either have to go downstairs or take a jug to a hot tap in the corridor meaning we couldn't just have a morning cuppa in our PJs. Also no milk or sugar was provided so had to either get fresh milk by making tea at reception or ask for milk sachets. The other odd thing is the wash hand basin is in the bedroom not in the ensuite bathroom meaning you have to open the sliding door before washing hands, I hope they clean the door handle well as didn’t seem very hygienic to me! Also our TV was rubbish. The first night it didn't work at all. The second night it kept switching off and we were supposed to be able to stream apps from our phone, but couldn't connect. A lovely hotel let down by strange layout decisions and modern tech that wasn't up to scratch."

"Desgraciadamente, el alojamiento no se ha mantenido hasta la descripción en el sitio web del Volunteer Inn. El Volunteer Inn es una viviente Casa pública recientemente renovada, situada en el hermoso pueblo de Grove, situado en Wantage, en Oxfordshire. El hotel es un hotel de 3 estrellas y tiene un alojamiento con una amplia gama de servicios. La escalera es estrecha y tiene un techo bajo (me parece que esto debería describirse si las personas tienen necesidades de acceso), pero la habitación era adecuada, pero con un viejo, muy fino, sin manchas adicionales, lo que significa que estaba fría toda la noche. La habitación estaba muy bien, pero no estaba bien. Intentamos explicar nuestras preocupaciones y dar al gerente la oportunidad de abordar nuestras preocupaciones. Después de un poco de vuelta y de atrás, nos negamos a permanecer durante toda la duración de nuestra estancia y encontramos alojamiento alternativo en Wantage por el mismo precio, que incluyó el desayuno y superó las expectativas."

White Horse Inn

"The White Horse Inn is an absolute hidden gem in Woolstone. The pub itself is so picturesque, full of character, and has such a lovely feel to it. The staff are brilliant, so friendly, relaxed and welcoming, which makes the whole place feel great from the moment you walk in. The pizzas are genuinely out of this world, easily some of the best I’ve had. It’s dog friendly too, which is always a massive bonus. There’s also a great beer garden out the back when the sun is shining, and a really good selection of beers and ciders. The rooms are great too, really comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning is superb. It definitely sets you up properly for the day ahead. Can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back."
