Hotel Hubertus

Alpin Panorama Hotel Hubertus is a visually impressive hotel with striking architecture and a few genuinely strong wellness highlights, especially the panoramic spa areas, the sky pool and some of the yoga and sauna experiences. However, overall the stay felt more style-focused than welcoming or relaxing. The hotel is very large and rather impersonal, with a minimalist design that sometimes feels cold instead of cosy. We missed the warm, familiar South Tyrolean atmosphere that many hotels in the region naturally offer. There were several smaller issues that repeatedly affected the experience: unclear sauna signage, long walking distances, outdoor transitions between wellness areas, missing towels near the saunas, uneven service quality and dinner menus that aimed for fine dining but often did not fully deliver. Breakfast and the appetizer buffet were generally stronger than the main courses. The hotel clearly invests heavily in architecture and visual impact, and many guests will probably love exactly that aspect. For us, though, the overall experience felt less comfortable and less personal than expected from a hotel in this category.

A very last minute booking but one which far exceeded our expectations. This hotel has a big heart - the pool, spa, architecture etc are all incredible and well documented but we were also so impressed with the personal service, the locally sourced, delicious and beautifully presented meals, the hikes in the snow, the fun outdoor activities on offer (the tobogganing was great fun), the perfectly appointed rooms with views for miles, the extensive wine list, the spa treatments… I could go on! Can’t wait to go back.

We went here for one week in March. It is hard to articulate how amazing and special this place is, but I will try. First of all, the staff are incredible. They communicate between each other, everyone knows the details, you are made to feel so welcome. A very big thanks to our restaurant host Manuela who made our breakfasts and dinners very special. Features are fantastic, wooden elements, very comfortable beds, breathtaking views, and all their aquatic facilities are simply incredible, especially the Sky Pool. Spa center was lovely, we had 3 procedures, all done by amazing specialists. Package we got included all the meals. But completely next level: food was extremely tasty, very fresh, local produce, dinners were very creative and memorable with lots of tyrolean specialties. Hotel also had a variety of weekly activities, like winter lake hike and cooking at local lady's house. It was really so special. Big thanks to Sonja for being a wonderful guide. We would return in a heartbeat, and are already planning to for later this year. It is definitely a place not to be missed.

This hotel is on another level. Everything about it feels perfectly thought through, with so much attention to detail — right down to the cosy socks you can wear in the spa to relax. We were seated at a fantastic table for both breakfast and dinner, with stunning views over the village and mountains. Enjoying such wonderful food each day, in such a setting, was a complete delight. The ski area in Kronplatz may be smaller than some other parts of the Dolomites, but there were still plenty of runs to enjoy over the week. And honestly, when you have a hotel this perfect to come back to, it feels like a very fair tradeoff. There’s also so much to do during the day — guided walks, fitness classes, excursions — that it’s almost difficult to leave to go skiing in the first place! Returning from the slopes to delicious cakes and treats made the hotel the ideal place for a relaxed après‑ski. Our room on the second floor had the same spectacular views as the restaurant, even from the bathroom. If the bedrooms, food, and skiing aren’t enough, the outdoor space truly is the hotel’s highlight. It never felt crowded, and we could always find a lounger or quiet corner to unwind. The infinity pool at sunset after a day on the slopes was absolute bliss. And the auf gus saunas were such a unique experience — once you get used to wearing nothing but your towel, it becomes incredibly relaxing, especially with the open fire and drinks afterwards. The family who run the hotel are warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, as are all the staff. The bar team make fantastic cocktails, always served with a smile. One of our favourite moments was the chalet lunch the family hosts every Friday. They open their mountain chalet to all hotel guests for goulash soup and a few beers. You can ski or hike there, and it’s such great fun. This hotel goes above and beyond in every way. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay. We can’t wait to return.

If you're here looking at reviews and trying to figure out whether it's worth booking this trip then consider this your sign from the universe to book it! This was by far the most impressive hotel stay/experience we have had the pleasure of experiencing. The location is impressive - highly recommend that you rent a car for the duration of your stay because there are great places in a short driving distance away worth checking out (Kronplatz and Lake Braies). The hotel is clean and has an extremely peaceful and quiet environment. The rooms are well-sized and well thought out (we had the Belvedere Suite and the bathtub was totally worth it!). Food was fantastic - from the generous breakfast buffet to the afternoon 'snacks' (practically a full blown buffet) and the delightful dinner which always gave us something to look forward to at night. Book this trip if you want to relax and spend your time enjoying the views/facilities. If you're more interested in exploring the area you will miss out on all the extremely well-designed and vast spa facilities. Most saunas had a panoramic view of the area, whirlpools/ jacuzzis were also well kept and shared the same breathtaking views (heaven & hell was truly insane!!). Sky pool is obviously the selling point - my only concern is that the place is growing in popularity and attracting a lot of 'influencer-type' visitors mostly interested in taking their shots in the skypool, sometimes being a bit loud or putting themselves in very dangerous positions to get their shot (but please don't consider this a deal-breaker). The skypool is gorgeous but not the only incredible thing to enjoy and experience during your stay. The service was absolutely 10/10. Staff fluently speaks english, italian and german and it was such a pleasure seeing them shift between the three languages so fluently throughout our dinner service - truly impressive. Everyone was really nice and served you with a smile - from the sommelier to the room attendant... staff is truly a dream-team! We will definitely be back to check it out in winter next time. I will spend the rest of my days dreaming of coming back. An absolute GEM!!
