YYINGGGAEl hotel cuenta con buenas instalaciones y una decoración de alta calidad. Por el precio, definitivamente vale la pena. El servicio fue excelente y la recepción me mejoró la habitación. Un pequeño detalle destacado fue el baño de pies gratuito, que fue muy relajante después de un día de caminata. Los jugos del minibar también eran gratis. El desayuno fue excelente y la estancia en general fue fantástica.

YYung NuggI extended my stay at a 6 bed dormitory. There is a girl who speaks english at the reception. Location was perfect for me, near the metro station and a busy street with clubs and restaurants. You can use the laundry machine for free but doesn’t include detergent. You can either buy it at a local store(probably 6CNY for a small bottle) or vending machine in the hostel for 2CNY. Dryer wasn’t powerful enough, ended up running it for a fee hours (you can just dry it in your room since the air is quite dry).

SStAnastasiaMy friend and I stayed at the Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel during a layover in Urumqi, and it was the perfect choice for a short stay near the airport. The location is extremely convenient - just ~15 minutes away from the terminal, which made our transit hassle-free. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a great advantage. Though the hotel could use minor renovations, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. The room had all the essentials: slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a comb, a hairdryer, an electric kettle, cups, and bottled water. The Wi-Fi worked well, which was important for us to plan our day trip and order a taxi. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options. Even if you're not yet accustomed to Chinese cuisine, you can find simple choices like boiled eggs and mantou (steamed buns). For sightseeing, the city center and main attractions (such as the Xinjiang Museum, Red Hill Park, the Grand Bazaar, and the mosque) are about 30 minutes away by taxi. We managed to explore all of them in a day. Nearby, there are also local markets, convenience stores, and small cafés for snacks and essentials. Overall, if you need a comfortable, budget-friendly hotel close to Urumqi Airport with good service and decent amenities, Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel is a great option. Highly recommended for transit travelers!

WWoon Chooi YEWAlex, the lady from reception was so helpful and courteous. She was all smiles and made us feel very welcome. When she found out that I was an IHG member, she offered me a bottled welcome drink, From 6pm to 2am, the hotel offered free beef noodles and wanton soup (not sure whether this was based on room type). Food was good, but the server/cook on the night of 15 October was a nightmare. He was unhappy when we disturbed him to ask for a bowl of noodles. All he was interested in was to play on his handphone. He shouted at a guest who was trying to be helpful by returning used bowls and utensils. Honestly, he should not be working in the hospitality industry. The hotel is located in a residential area with no restaurants or shops nearby, but it is clean and modern. Wanda mall is about 2km away. We walked there.

When i arrived in the middle of the night, the owner(or senior staff idk) was drinking and smoking with his friends in the commons. Whilst I was checking in with another staff member, they discussed among themselves where I could be from based on my appearance. As a young woman traveling alone, I found this moment quite unpleasant. I had booked the 4 people's dorm. They happened to be no other guests in the dorm that night. It was nice to have the room for myself. However, the room had not been cleaned up. My bed had been made, but on the trash was some trash and laying around. The previous guests had also smoked in the room. They had left their sigarettes floating in a noodle pot and the room stinking. I asked for another room. The tipsy owner first denied the room smelled, till we stood in front of the floating sigarettes. There was no other room available, so i slept there. By morning, the commons looked like a different hotel. There was a friendly and professional lady at the desk who checked me out. She also kept my luggage for the day, which was very convenient. For anyone who has never been in Urumuqi before, this is not the city center. The hotel is located in a tower close to Ulumuqi train station. It's convenient if you're hoping on or off the train, but you'll need a taxi to get you to part of the city worth visiting. Overall, I had a terrible experience, but it's probably not how most travellers would experience this hostel. And, it's quite cheap.

KKevan KeeganAunque desde fuera el hotel no presenta una imagen atractiva, la habitación era muy bonita y el vestíbulo, pequeño y sencillo, era muy acogedor y eficiente. Sin embargo, la ubicación del hotel es excelente, a menos de diez minutos de la estación de metro y a una parada del Gran Bazar, donde hay muchísimo que ver, hacer y comer. ¡Iba allí todas las noches! Desafortunadamente, el metro aún no llega a la estación principal de tren rápido de Urumqi (llegué desde Turpan); aunque las señales de la estación indican que la estación de metro aún no está abierta. Sin embargo, fue muy fácil llegar al aeropuerto en metro en 45 minutos. Descubrí que la mejor manera de llegar al excelente Museo de Xinjiang es tomar el metro cuatro paradas hasta la Plaza Nanhu y, después de disfrutar del Parque del Lago Nanhu, tomar un taxi o Didi hasta el museo. Tarda 15 minutos y cuesta unos ¥20/25. El museo es gratuito y no tuve que hacer cola ni reservar la entrada con antelación. No hay interruptor dentro de la puerta donde normalmente se coloca la tarjeta llave. No está claro cómo cortar la electricidad de la habitación al salir, a menos que se apaguen con firmeza los más de diez interruptores que hay por toda la habitación.
