"We visited in july 2025, and had a great stay. Travelling with two teenage boys ages 15 and 17 we were given adjoining rooms on the top floor of the châteaux. (No elevator, so if you are not good with stairs, book on lower floors). Rooms had fridge, aircondition and chairs and table so we could keep water cool and have a game of cards in the evenings. The swimmingpool is heated and never crowded. No-one reserves sunbeds by placing towels, so there is always room for you and the hotel provides bathrobes and slippers for all guests. There is also an indoor swimmingpool that my husband and son used on a rainy day, and they said it was lovely. The garden is beautiful and tranquile, and a perfect place to relax with a paper or book. A special thanks to Flavian, the concierge, who showed us around, told the story of the châteaux and its gardens and was eager to share tips and advise on what to see and do in the region. Our French is very limited, so it was nice to get friendly help in english. ♥️"

"I spent 3 wonderful nights at Manoir de Surville in October 2023. Camille and Hugues were excellent hosts. The property is magnificent and the accommodations were very comfortable. I enjoyed one dinner in the restaurant which featured local, delicious and innovative cuisine. I came to this area of Normandy to follow a 3 day cooking coarse in Louviers at On Rue Tatin with Susan Herrmann Loomis. By car, I was an easy 15 minute drive away. This location strikes me as a very good spot to settle into while doing the "Normandy Tour". Hope to return sometime soon. Many thanks Camille and Hughes. Donna Toronto, Canada "

"Nos reservamos accidentalmente este hotel en nuestro camino de regreso a Calais pensando que era A28 Rouen Norte uno, pero en realidad era muy bueno y nos llevó un camino diferente a través de Rouen evitar el túnel. La principal razón para quedarse aquí fue el aire acondicionado que funcionó muy bien, las camas estaban cómodas y el roller-off negro fue eficaz. El viaje hasta Calais fue sólo más de 2 horas, por lo que sólo un poco más que nuestro hotel Bois Guilleme normal!"

"A lovely place to stay, with beautiful views and the constant sound of birdsong creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. It felt like a world away from home. The heated pool was wonderful, especially after a hot day of travelling, and the room was extremely comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was excellent, offering a great selection of choices each morning. Sadak looked after us throughout our stay and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Nothing was too much trouble, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. He really is a credit to this hotel and I hope management are aware of how amazing he is. Highly recommended."

"I originally booked a city view king room but was given a room facing an inner courtyard. It wasn't even a proper room, more like a small annex. I went to the front desk to complain, and the staff showed me three rooms. One was exactly like the pictures of the room I booked, but it was in the basement. The second one was even worse. The third one had a view, but it had a 1.5-meter bed instead of a king, and it was also on a mezzanine level. I paid for a city view room and got a standard room! Is the hotel really that short on cash that they have to operate like this?"

"Thought it was abandoned when we got there it was so unkempt. Manager was not on time either night (half hour late the first night and nearly 50 mins late the second - we didn't stay the second night after an altercation!) so we could not get in as our door codes did not work. We were the only guests in the hotel (not surprised). The lights flickered on and off all night - indicating electrical fault everywhere in the hotel? The toilet was not working. We were left no instructions in case of emergency and the Manager was impossible to get on the phone. The Manager was rude and eventually trapped me inside with my husband outside shouting very loudly at us. WE LEFT SHORTLY AFTER THAT. Such a shame - we have been going there on and off for almost 30 years but NEVER AGAIN"

"Centrally located and easy access to the shops and supermarkets. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom had bath tub that was a real bargain. We managed to get a free parking space next to the hotel and walked around the town centre for its attractions as they were mostly walking distance. If you are looking for a centrally located hotel , Hotel Normandy should be considered."
