"Hoteles muy curados en los detalles en el estilo perfecto tiroles. Habitaciones espaciosas, limpias, con todo lo necesario y muchos compartimentos para deshacer las maletas. En la televisión se ve, además de muchos canales en alemán, los principales canales RAI y las webcams muy útiles que se encuentran en las relevaciones del comprensor; esto permite programar las excursiones haciendo cuentas con el tiempo real en cuota. Aparcamiento gratuito amplio justo frente al hotel. Situación muy tranquila donde a las 22 se cierra absolutamente todo, pero por lo demás, se cena de las 18:00 a las 20:30 . La zona está aislada, cerca de los centros habitados que se pueden llegar con unos minutos de coche o con el autobús que se detiene justo frente al hotel. El contenedor ofrece hermosas y panorámicas caminos de trekking. Casa de la cocina, fantástico, todo muy bueno y curado, buenos camareros. El desayuno rica para los cereales y para la sal; bastante bueno también para el dulce. Un litro de agua 5,80€, prácticamente es bueno para la cerveza, pero es normal en estos hoteles. El spa es pequeño, poco frecuente, muy bonito. Lo hemos utilizado y apreciado mucho, compuesto por un baño turco, sauna, hidromasaje, duchas experimentales y baño de agua fría de montaña. Está claro que el traje está prohibido. Así que, muy recomendado para unas vacaciones de verano relajante en Tirolo."

"A Disappointing Experience – Not a True 4-Star Hotel We highly recommend doing thorough research before booking this hotel. Unfortunately, our stay did not live up to the expectations set by the website or the hotel's advertised 4-star status. 1) Location: The hotel is located on a busy road, with heavy traffic from large buses and ski-related car congestion heading towards the main ski lift. Many of the rooms face this road, meaning you can expect traffic noise. This is especially concerning if you have children, as the front of the hotel opens directly onto a busy country road. The image on the hotel’s website, showing a peaceful scene, is misleading—it was taken from the back of the hotel, not the front, which actually reveals a parking lot and a bustling road. Furthermore, the ski lifts are not easily accessible from the hotel. The drive to the lift takes around 10-20 minutes, depending on traffic, or you can rely on the hotel shuttle. It is not within walking distance, so don’t expect a quick walk to the slopes. On the plus side, if you enjoy walking or cross-country skiing, the location is ideal, as there’s a trail behind the hotel. 2) Food: As frequent visitors to Austrian hotels, we have come to expect high-quality food, especially when staying at a 4-star property. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. The food quality was disappointing: Cooked items were often overdone, such as ribs that were severely burnt. Salad ingredients appeared stale, and there was a noticeable recycling of old food. While the dinner service seemed to have gourmet aspirations, it was more akin to a basic cafeteria, with poorly prepared dishes, outdated ice cream, and subpar meat. On some nights, certain family members opted to skip dinner altogether. The food quality here is far from what you would expect from a 4-star establishment. In fact, we joked about nominating the restaurant for a "Gordon Ramsay intervention"—it truly needs a major overhaul. 3) Service: Service at the hotel was another letdown. The front desk staff was consistently unfriendly, especially when we needed help with simple requests, such as arranging transportation or organizing activities. This was particularly frustrating when traveling with kids, as daily plans often change and assistance is crucial. The hotel does seem to cater to regular guests, many of whom appear to have a close relationship with the owners and staff. This may create a more welcoming atmosphere for German-speaking guests or those from the region (Austria, Switzerland, Germany), but for international visitors, the service was lacking. Additionally, for those coming from tea-drinking countries (which is the majority of the world), be aware that the hotel restricts access to hot water and tea service during certain hours. This policy forces guests to buy drinks from the hotel, which, while a commercial strategy, feels quite inhospitable. In our experience, we have never encountered such penny"

"En la década de 1980, me introdujo en el Alpenhof por primera vez por un amigo muy cercano, el famoso diseñador industrial alemán Ingo Maurer, que murió en 2019 (de 87 años) y fue un sentimiento inmediato de haber descubierto un santuario que durará. El Alpenhof y Hintertux demostraron desde el primer encuentro el retiro ideal para escapar a y “recargar”. Ahora que ha sido mi turno para pasar la edad de 80 años, he sucumbido a la indulgencia de volver a este feliz establecimiento de invierno y verano durante los últimos diez años. La generación más joven de la familia Dengg ahora está en el lugar con el mismo dedicado al concepto de calidad en todo el mundo: sea servicio, comida, elección de actividades centradas en la salud, etc.. todo proporcionado de la manera más natural y sin pretensiones. "On the 23rd of April 2025 I stayed at the Jakober hotel in Tux with my family and I had a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel was not exactly central or close to the ski slopes in reality It was a 10 minute drive but the Hotel had very nice wiews, the hotel Is also close to a nice Trail that goes along a clean and stunning river with lots of nice places to take photos.At First I had the impression that the hotel was understaffed but then I realised that the Woman running the hotel was very polite and professional so She made made out experience even Better.The hotel also had a Ski room service which wasn't the best but It was nice and next to It there was a ping pong table and a spa which are wonderful services and I am glad that the hotel offered them.The room on the other hand wasn't as nice Because It was really old style so It was like a Little apartment with two big and comfy bedrooms with bathrooms whilst also having a kitchen; everything was clean and well-kept. In the end we had a really good experience so I would suggest this Hotel to anyone visiting the Hintertux glacier."

"It is clear why the hotel is 9 out of 9 on tripadvisor in Hintertux. Go anywhere else. Restaurant food and service is awful. Highly processed food. Everything tastes like it's from a packet or can. I left the hotel and checked into another hotel which had far superior food. The only nice part is the new pool and sauna. Reusing leftovers is ok but in my opinion they did it too much and with items that shouldn't be reused. In a 4 star hotel I don't want frankfurter sausages, burnt bacon, the cheapest sourced food you can find. Slices of spam. A starter which is a roll of sandwich processed ham and cheese. Meat you can't chew. To be told they lost my main course order so I can just go to the children's buffet to eat. They served my kid alcoholic desserts repeatedly which is not nice for a kid and he was ill after the 3rd meal. The local farm yoghurt is so sour and lumpy it's not edible. Better to go without a pool! Reception staff were great at handling my request to leave thanks. Rooms old but spacious. Buckets of water catching leaks downstairs, flooded areas etc.... no toilet seat in ski room. They obviously have some financial issues and are trying to renovate so the food budget is the smallest possible. Shame."
