"Esta era nuestra tercera estancia en el Tyrol austriaco, así que nos usamos para altos estándares austriacos de comida y limpieza, pero esto fue aún mejor que antes. Todo fue perfecto. La habitación era grande y limpia con mucho espacio, gran balcón y bonita vista al Gletcher Hintertux. La comida era excelente y el hotel tiene una muy bonita sala de juegos durante días cuando el tiempo no es tan bueno. El mayor plus es la familia que maneja un hotel y trabaja duro durante todo el día. Si vuelve a Tux (y espero que lo haga) nos quedaremos aquí."

"En la década de 1980, me introdujo en el Alpenhof por primera vez por un amigo muy cercano, el famoso diseñador industrial alemán Ingo Maurer, que murió en 2019 (de 87 años) y fue un sentimiento inmediato de haber descubierto un santuario que durará. El Alpenhof y Hintertux demostraron desde el primer encuentro el retiro ideal para escapar a y “recargar”. Ahora que ha sido mi turno para pasar la edad de 80 años, he sucumbido a la indulgencia de volver a este feliz establecimiento de invierno y verano durante los últimos diez años. La generación más joven de la familia Dengg ahora está en el lugar con el mismo dedicado al concepto de calidad en todo el mundo: sea servicio, comida, elección de actividades centradas en la salud, etc.. todo proporcionado de la manera más natural y sin pretensiones. A pesar de mis años de progreso, no veo ninguna razón para no esperar unos pocos años más de indulgencia en la hospitalidad del lugar... y mantener el esquí, invierno y verano! Patrick Dormoy."

"It may have once been a 4-star hotel, but that's long gone. The entire building is showing its age, and clearly nothing is being done to stop the deterioration. Everything looks worn and a bit shabby; even the upholstery on the restaurant chairs is saggy. Furthermore, the entire building has a musty and very unpleasant smell. The ski boot heater has been cold all week. The poorly presented breakfast consists of the cheapest ingredients, there's nothing fresh on the buffet (even the fruit salad comes from the freezer), and the cheese is already bulging on its plate by 9:00 a.m. A nuisance in the wellness area: Many guests wear swimwear, even though the website advertises a textile-free environment. Even after our request, the staff did nothing to change this. Speaking of staff: the receptionist and one waitress (who unfortunately was only there one morning) are friendly and approachable. The other employees are unfriendly, cold, and dismissive. This may be due to the language barrier, as the hotel language is Czech. But a "good day" should still be possible. But it wasn't. We stayed in the apartment, which was spacious and functionally furnished. The location is a positive: a 10-minute ski bus ride to the glacier. Our conclusion after one week: It was okay, but we wouldn't book the hotel again."

Dispone de una acogedora decoración con un maravilloso balcón. La cena y el desayuno fueron fantásticos. El servicio en toda la casa es simplemente SUPER. "Our stay here has almost spanned ten days (we leave in two days). We don’t see snow in Western Australia so our mouths were wide open at the abundance of snow and arriving on 6 December, it was beginning to feel a lot like Christmas 🎄 We were collected from the train station by France who was super friendly and give us some local advice. This family ran hotel is superb! Every inch of the hotel is so well thought out and in all honesty, if we were not skiing each day, the hotel alone would offer so much to do. We felt guilty leaving this beautiful place to hit the piste. The staff are all super helpful. No request is too much. So sorry for not remembering all of the names but just a few to mention here: Hannah, Anna, Alexis, Bianca, Johann, Isobela, Patrick, Jonathan, Doriana (sorry if misspelt) and the driver who give us our complimentary trip to the slopes each day! 😊 During our stay we have only had very minor feedback to give directly to the hotel. Nothing to spoil the stay but very minor detail that may put the icing on the cake for some staying guests. It does not reduce the five star review hence our feedback will be directly to hotel and not on here as it may not impact most and would be unfair given the efforts they go to, to make this place as close to perfection as possible. Our 11 and 12 year old said “this place feels like we have landed in heaven.” We have previously stayed in fabulous places so our standards are very high. The Bergfried hotel has met and exceeded our expectations. Some guests were on their eighth stay. That is testament to the standards of this hotel. There is so much we could say about this place but we loved the surprise element of discovering all this hotel had to offer and would hate to take that away from any future guests. Thank you for our wonderful and memorable stay so far. We are not looking forward to checking out 😢"

"In February, we returned to the Höllensteinhütte - and enjoyed our stay as much as before! We enjoyed every single moment of our stay - not least because of the great and personal hospitality of the Erler family (with Michael, Thomas, and Hubert at the personal frontline) as well as their service staff - warm thanks to the entire team. The Höllensteinhütte is a marvellous blend of a traditional Tyrolean alpin hut and a boutique hotel. Rooms are newly renovated and nicely furnished (for recent pictures visit their web page - pictures here seem to be mostly from before the renovation). Also for this year's return, we were enchanted by the location of the Höllensteinhütte on a calm mountain plain (Alm) again - looking from the balcony at the sun lit peaks in the morning, enjoying a hunter's tea (Jagatee) on the porch after "returning from the valley" in the afternoon, or enjoying the star-sprangled night sky before closing the day. This year, we brought snow shoes. We had tried them before on smaller hikes and enjoyed them during our stay for hikes starting "right in front of the breakfast table". Stepping out of the hut and stepping right in to the nature, hiking up into the mountains and returning without having to jump into the hustle and bustle of the valley was a special gift to us. We also enjoyed the half-board in full again. All food was very tasty - a lovely and wide selection of local produce for breakfast and a delicious 4 course dinner - for which we would happily award a personal "star". The Höllensteinhütte is a clear recommendation from us to everybody who would like to enjoy the calmness of the nature at a Tyrolean mountain hut, yet in reach to the Tux skiing area, combined with the comfort of a boutique hotel, and topped off by personal hospitality. We are determined to return."

It is our go-to place when we visit Tux area for skiing. Anita is a friendly host. The apartments have beautiful views as the name indicates. Make sure you have winter tires on your vehicle during winter as the apartments are located on a steep slope."
