We fell in love with this hotel on our first visit and are now just completing our fourth and our opinion has never changed over the years. It’s a gem. Many things contribute to an enjoyable stay somewhere but it isn’t often that you find a place that puts them all together so well.. It doesn’t just happen and it remains a great credit to Alasdair McRobbie and all his team for making it such a lovely experience. I could wax lyrical and write pages and pages of compliments but take my word for it, head for Tulbagh, a beautiful area by the way and book yourselves into The Tulbagh Boutique Heritage Hotel. Tell them Alistair from Yorkshire recommended it. Keep up the fabulous work for your guests. You are very special and we love you loads. Alistair and Linda January 2024

I went with my family for one of our family trips. We had a great experience there. The food was out of this world, and we had drinks nonstop. The people there had the most amazing energy and they made us feel welcomed. This was one of the best places we’ve ever been to.

This hotel was one of the best stays I have had, the food was exceptional and the service was top class. I enjoyed the scenic views and the rooms were very well maintained on a daily. The menu that was on offer was well curated and tasted delicious

Wonderful to be in the historic town centre of Tulbagh with everything within walking distance. We stayed in the Heritage Fynbos King Room on the street across from the hotel. Had a beautiful room and bathroom. There is a common superbly furnished lounge with artworks and books and one can go out into the charming quiet back garden with a small swimming pool. Breakfast and dinner were served on the terrace (across the road) which was very good with exceptional service of welcome and great dining. Good value for the location. We would certainly recommend and return to this historic hotel.

Steeped in history. Our beautiful, beautifully appointed room was an annexe (a couple of hundred years old?) over the road from the main reception/restaurant building. I think our bit was rebuilt in the original Old Dutch style after the dreadful earthquake in 1970’s. Everything 5* quality. Small swimming pool in a very secluded spot very close to our room. Everyone extremely welcoming and competent.

I had a good time here from the entrance to the reception the staff wer friendly and welcoming, food was good linen was clean and smelling nice, breakfast and lunch was on time. View was good it was peaceful and quet and relaxing it is a good place to visit

This was the most fantastic time with my family because they experience different between different food and nothing is seeing other people I mean like American for the first time so I see that is an opportunity for my kids and I and my family really enjoyed

Amazing heritage rooms, luxurious & full of character. Beautiful gardens & lovely albeit tiny pool. Friendly helpful smiley staff. Breakfast was lovely & enjoyed a nice supper outside on the patio area.

We loved our stay at Toulbagh Boutique Hotel. The staff was super friendly, the hotel has very clean and comfy rooms and a nice restaurant with delicious food. We had a little incident with our baby and everyone was so helpful and caring. If you travel with a baby this is a really nice place. We would definitely come back.
