This is a decent hotel with friendly stuff. However, our experience with them was unfortunate and unpleasant. We stayed there in mid July 2023 for an overnight international flight connection. After arriving at the Haneda airport at 8:30pm, we found out the next free hotel shuttle bus won’t come until 10:20pm. So we took the subway which should take us 20 minutes. Unfortunately, not knowing how the Japanese subway system worked, we got onto a wrong train that resulted in an exhausting two-hour subway excursion in Tokyo.
Near 11pm we found our way back and checked into the hotel. The room was very warm. We turned on the AC but didn’t feel anything after 20 minutes. I asked the front desk for help, who checked everything and assured us the AC was working but it’d take 30 minutes to cool down.
So we thought maybe in Japan people were thrifty with the cold air. We stayed put patiently in the next hour and half and the room was still hot. The bed is comfortable but ironically added more warmth. At 1:30am I told the front desk no way the AC was working. This time they realized the problem and tried to fix it. Exhausted, I asked if there was another room we could stay while they tried to fix the AC. Thankfully they kindly obliged. At 2am we finally got some sleep in a generously cold air room.
The upside of losing sleep in the hotel was that I napped more on the plane next day than I normally can.
