Never seen a hotel with checking so late. Got our keys at 16:00 only to find out that in our room, the window was left wide open, the radiator was taken off and some non-insulated electric wires were left dangling dangerously. Went to reception, showed pictures and the receptionist was smiling, like is absolutely normal that you can get electrocuted in your room. 3 hours passed and nothing happened after which went again to complain as the room was freezing. They eventually installed a broken radiator which it only dissipates a little bit of heat and the temperature cannot be changed. That’s exactly what someone wishes in their skiing holiday after you spent all day on the slopes in freezing cold to come back to a cold room. The radiator was only working 5-10 min/day and complained on numerous occasions they would send someone to unplug it from the wires on the wall, plug it back in, and would work for only 5 mins. We spent 6 days in a very cold room. It cannot even be called a room…is more like a closet…a prison cell would have much more space than this. I cannot even describe how tiny is…never seen anything like this. No toiletries or kettle was provided. Food was pretty poor and some handwritten labels with no information whatsoever on what it contained. Was impossible to use translation because of their poor writing. Disgusting and I would never recommend anyone to spend any money on such a rip-off

We were a group of 4 English lads on a ski holiday and we found the hotel to be decent. The hotel is very French and cater for mainly French holiday makers. All entertainment is French and there were only 1 other English group there. Positives - friendly staff - good food lots of variety - all inclusive drinks and spirits is actually decent - beer is local Kronenburg - beds comfy ish - beds made everyday - good WiFi Negatives - The boot room, it stinks so bad - doors on rooms a bit temperamental - 5 minute walk to slopes - very French - can wait a while at the bar for drinks - it’s a long way from nightlife - it’s a long long way from val d’sere - no one there when checked out so just left keys on desk - Spa gets booked quick, book it fast with reception as the spa staff are aggy and unhelpful Overall we enjoyed our visit. We paid £1550 each all inclusive with passes and kit. Recommend avoiding boot room, go down to first lift and rent a locker, leave all your gear there for €60 for 4 people for a week. If you stay there is a bar right next door if you leave the boot room called “Les Resevours” honestly, great food, all the football, beer pong, darts and pool. Staff are good fun too and all English. Defo worth a visit.

Delicious food on the buffet which was regularly restocked & changed daily. Lots of vegetarian options and, unlike most buffets, nothing was over-seasoned. Highlights included Raclette, Aubergine Parmigiana, Dauphinois potatoes, the veggie chilli. Every evening also included a choice of pizzas / pasta. Most of the guests are French & the entertainment is all in French so we didn’t bother with that but the staff are all really friendly and helpful. Great location, just 5 mins from the bubble (never a queue) to Tignes 1800 and an easy switch to the next bubble to get up the mountain. Coming back down was an easy green run through the trees winding its way down from Tignes 1800 - a nice relaxing way to end a full ski day. Rooms are quite small but once you unpack there is plenty of storage so it was fine, just don’t bother packing your yoga mat as no room for that. Ski set hire shop is next door too so v handy. 9am checkout was a bit of a shock for our teens who wanted a lie in but there’s a left luggage so we went for a final morning of skiing on empty slopes.

Having read some other trip advisor comments I was a bit nervous about this booking but happily surprised. The rooms are very compact but kept clean and tidy with towel changes every couple of days. TV is in French only and randomly came on in the middle of the night. There are no curtains but a sliding mirror which blocks the window. The heating cannot be controlled and the electric heater in the room was on a timer which I could not fathom out. Room too hot most of the time. There is a plastic wall with pegs to hang wet ski gear. The bathroom is also small with a tiny bath only about 1m long. Shower above is OK. Plenty of hot water at all times. Food wise I could not fault the service. Full English breakfast (not like we get at home), cereals, Yoghurt, fruits, cheeses, pancakes and full continental available. Plus eggs cooked to order. Tea coffee juices etc. Only down comment is the state of the crockery with many chips and cracks. Evening meals were excellent. Salads, soup, selection of various hot choices, various desserts, ice creams and cheese board. Wine on tap from a machine. The ski boot room has heaters which did not seem to be left on long enough to dry boots properly and they were certainly cold every morning. Nice touch is the lockable skiis and poles storage rack. There are several ski hire shops within 5 mins walk. There are two lifts, only one of which serves all floors. The bar is open 11 to 11 and the prices are only a little above the outside local bars. Recommend the Reservoir (next door), which is owned by an English woman and has Happy hour and great tasting burgers. The boot room entrance is about 100m fairly flat walk to the gondola. Most of the guests seemed to be French and if you are after a reasonable place to stay for skiing or mountain walking here is as good as any.

Having read the reviews we were anxious about staying at this hotel. We booked a late deal and this was all we could find. However we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were small but quite modern, the beds were also small but comfortable for me as I am not tall. .Our room was cleaned daily and new towels left a couple of times. There always seemed to be a shortage of hot water at around 18.00. The meals were all buffet and there was usually a good choice so there was usually something on offer that we liked. We tended to have wine with our meals rather than from the bar as it was of a better quality. The hotel is very family orientated so another sitting area away for the bar and stage area would have been good as it did get quite noisy. The spa was very poor so we only used it once. We were there to ski so out of the hotel a at nine in the morning and we did not return until four in the afternoon. So we did not spend much time in the hotel apart from in the evenings and usually went to bed early and our room was in quite a quiet area so there are no problems there. The ski room was fine and the ski, rental shop nearby which was a handy. It was a short walk down to the gondola and the ski back on the red was very icy, but there was an alternative green which we came down instead or you could’ve come down in the gondola. For anybody who is not sking it’s not a great place to stay as there is very little to do but for us for a week and the price we paid it was fine

Hotel Club MMV Les Brevieres in Tignes was, being polite, grotty and tired. Some lights not working (one sorted, one not) stains on carpets and under mattresses, cupboards with chunks of MDF chipped out of them, porcelain chipped on toilet, an unflushed pooh in one toilet when we arrived!! Many coffee mugs were chipped or cracked and on some mornings none were available for a period of time. The hotel came across as like a cross between a French Butlins and a hostel with food at best average in the scrum buffet set up.

Mid sized hotel designed to accommodate skiiers and largely occupied by French families, many of whom had small children (0-10 years). Rooms were small, but adequate and, unlike many ski hotels, had plenty of storage space. Bathroom has a half sized bath; the shower above works fine, but hot water could be scarce around 18:00. Food in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss though we could always find something we liked and never left wanting more. Bar service was slow at times and even the occasional tip made little difference; also the bar area always seemed to be a disorganised mess with dirty glasses piling up as the evening wore on. We were on All Inclusive and the drinks range was much as we expected, beer, wine and local (unbranded) spirits. The ski room was a decent size; sometimes busy and young children wandering around proved a bit of a hazard. Distance to the ski lift was more than the 150m advertised, at least double that, but not really a problem as the gondola gets you fast access to Tignes 2100. There isn't much to do in Tignes le Brev, just a few restaurants, two bars and a small supermarket, but if you are just there to ski then the MMV is fine.

We were in for a surprise of note! The place is run down and it felt like it has not been cleaned in years. The general area carpets were old an dirty, the staff were unfriendly and not hygienic. Never in my life have i witnessed a barman use his hands to scoop ice out of the bucket to put in your drink!! Dirty glasses (plenty) were left on the bar overnight so that is the first thing you see when heading to breakfast. The dining area was always dirty and the one coffee machine never worked. Daily stress was watching the egg's being cooked with a plastic cake cutter, they should really invest in a spatula (EGG LIFTER). Food was average if you could get in, the staff eat with you and they pile up their plates before guests have had a chance to eat. Cutlery was ALWAYS DIRTY, we got used to cleaning them ourselves. We booked for 14 days but so wished we were staying elsewhere.
