Aneeki is a cheap. And cheerful place to stay in the heart of Thredbo It’s in the heart of the village with breathtaking views Comes with a communal kitchen You can bring your own food , but price comes with complimentary cereals, toast and coffee Sandie , is a very hospitable host that will make you feel at ease It’s basic and functional and gets the job done without breaking the bank balance Highly recommend this place

Aneeki ski lodge is in Thredbo village and close to the hiking/mountain biking trails. It has shared bathrooms and cooking facilities. The rooms are tiny with no storage facilities. Beds were comfy. However, the room became extremely warm due to afternoon sun streaming in and even with the window open it took till 3am for the room to actually cool down. The room really needs a fan as it’s exposed to the afternoon sun making sleep on warmer days impossible. The walls between the rooms are paper thin which meant I was lucky enough to hear the person in the room next to me cough, snore and even break wind throughout the night. The property is accessed via a number of stairs which was fine for us but may be not suitable for people with mobility concerns, disabilities or injuries. Communal areas were clean and tidy and good assortment of condiments/breakfast etc. There is no toiletries supplied such as soap and you will need your own towel. For the location it’s ideal but a good night sleep after spending the day on the slopes might be challenging.

Fabulous traditional ski lodge run by amazing host, Ian. Perfect location with lovely views. Cant wait to return.

Sandy and her colleagues were absolutely lovely - they couldn't do enough to help out. We were there for a very short stay and made feel very welcome. The shared bathroom I thought was going to be the main issue but they were kept so clean it worked out just fine.

We LOVED our stay …Sandie was so fabulous! She was the perfect host made us feel very welcome the lodge was incredibly clean ,I’ve never seen such cleanliness around the kitchen and bathroom areas, the plants are lovely ,it made us feel very at home. The ******* listing was inaccurate regarding what we thought we were paying for , i’ve been to thredbo many times, when I saw that the parking was free and on-site it was a no brainer for me to book as I knew how thredbo has very few parking spaces for the apartments in the village. So this lodge is like most of the other lodges where you park 500 m to a kilometre away from lodging in a giant car park ,it is free. The listing didn’t say it was a shared bathroom. The listing also didn’t say you need to bring your own towels or pay a $5 deposit for a towel. That being said we had a lovely stay.

Management would not rebook me for next year (2022) even though lifts were not operating due to NSW Covid Lockdown. This is a highly capitalistic establishment. Will never ever stay there in the future.
