Hotel Restaurant Zaghro

Went with my sister and stayed three nights. Staff were amazing and so talkative and receptionist Mohammed was so so helpful!! Breakfast was really lovely and especially as it was included in the price. Easy too get to the city centre either by walking (40 ish mins) which we did a couple times or taxi (ended up being 10-30 dirhams for two people.) The pool was really nice too and refreshing in the heat. Really can’t fault anything about the hotel, we really would love too go back when we can.

I hate this place because they receive you badly , that’s why i cancel my booking in reception, then i go oute to auther place , they should to learn first how to respect the clients👎 and You have to learn how to deal with customers, If you deal with people in this way, one day you will lose everything.

If you have the misfortune to get off the bus at Ouarzazate, then be sure that you have booked a seat for your onward destination (probably Merzouga or Zagora) the next day! Shown on Wikipedia as a "tourist destination" and the "gateway to the desert", Ouarzazate (with a population of only around 70,000!) doesn't even do justice to being called a town never mind a city!  The only thing going for it is the fantastic 4 hour coach trip from Marrakech and its breathtaking views along the route through the Atlas Mountains. The 80 dirham (£6.25) trip was excellent value for money with Supratours or CTM and tickets can easily be booked & paid for in advance on line - be sure to book early and reserve the front row seats for the best views! (Warning - no refunds are available using CTM but as Supratours is part of ONCF Moroccan Rail Company, refunds are available should your plans change!)  The facilities for tourists in Ouarzazate are extremely limited and probably the only reason to get off the bus here is to visit nearby World Heritage Aït Benhaddou (World Heritage Site) which is 30km away! Ironically the buses from Marrakech pass through Tazentout (10km from Aït Benhaddou) but don't stop there to even "set down") so it's a wasted extra 40km round trip in a taxi to "double back" to reach Aït Benhaddou - but definitely a place to visit (& stay) rather than the "city" of Ouarzazate which has nothing to offer tourists except a visit to its overpriced film studios - prices that would be more akin to Hollywood and not a small town in Morocco!  A taxi for up to 6 people costs 250 dirham from Hotel Zaghro to Aït Benhaddou (30 minutes journey time) which includes a 90 minute wait to bring you back! On arrival at Aït Benhaddou we managed a walk to the top of the Ksar (stopping to take photos on the way) and back in 45 minutes so an hour and half stop should we sufficient including a tea/coffee at any of the cafes in the area!  The Hotel Zaghro is located 3km from the centre of Ouarzazate - this in itself is a point to take into account. The cheap "petit taxis" that ply the centre of Ouarzazate at 7 dirhams a trip (55p) per person are not allowed this far out and so a "grande taxi" must be used which will only "leave when full"! As a group of 5 this was no problem as we paid the 6 seat cost of almost €4 a trip. But if you are alone or just a couple, then staying at the Hotel Zaghro will add an additional cost to your stay for each journey made if you don't want to wait for the, taxi to fill.  The hotel struggles to even get its 2 star status! Also don't be fooled by the photographs of the exterior and the rooms - they certainly are a lot smaller in reality than the images shown portray - amazing what a good camera lens can achieve!!! It lies on the main street in a suburban area of Ouarzazate with little to offer tourists in general!  The facilities in the rooms are basic and clean but definitely late 20th century and if you need an electric power point

The beds and rooms were comfortable but the bathroom was not. The bathroom had an odor and it was very hot, even after showering. The current was too short and the water splashed everywhere.

Si vous recherchez un endroit paisible et traditionnel cet hôtel est fait pour vous. La bienveillance de tout le personnel est exceptionnellement rare! Tout est à portée de mains même la station de taxi pour aller en ville. A peine rentrée j'ai déjà hâte d'y retourner😊 moi qui appréhendais de voyager seule pour la 1ère fois je ne pouvais mieux tomber en matière d'accueil...grand merci à tous...

Réceptionniste très désagréable,manque d'hygiène, serviettes non fournies, tel ne marche pas.manque de prises,wifi de mauvaise qualité débit très faible.le prix est inversement proportionnel à la qualité des prestations surtout l'accueil inadmissible du Réceptionniste.

A circa 5 km a piedi dal centro. Aacettabile. Camera non molto grande con bagno piccolo e datato. Abbiamo passato la notte in gruppo di 20 persone. Va bene se di passaggio. Hotel datato. Abbastanza buono il servizio ristorante.
