Etsu Hotel

I just needed somewhere basic in a particular location for one night so my expectations weren’t high. Check in was straightforward but the lift/elevator wasn’t working so someone brought my big case to my room which I appreciated. The room was small and basic but adequate. The aircon was quite noisy but it didn’t bother me. The shower was nice and appreciated after a long trip. I did have to fix the toilet cistern as it ran constantly. My one gripe was there were tiny ants all over the bedside table. I had a drink and some snacks and there must have been a spot of my drink that attracted hundreds of ants. I kept finding them on my arms and they even got into some other food in a sealed bag inside another bag. I managed to get rid of most of them in the end. The location of the hotel is convenient with an SM mall just along the road and a Jolibee opposite which is where I had breakfast. Also, the market is to the rear. I also had a sea view from my room which was nice

The floor was very dirty on arrival. The lift was not working and I had to walk to the 4th floor everytime I entered and exited. There’s no safe in the room. The key I had broke and I had to find the magnet that was actually inside of it on the floor that turns on the electrics in the room. The windows are the worst and they aren’t even proper windows but slide up and down shutters which have no sound proofing or stop dust and air coming through. Reception was pretty basic, on the plus side they don’t bother you and check in is simple and fast. A bigger tried to ask me for money and wouldn’t leave and I had to ask the security to tell him to go away which was a little worrying as you’d expect security to do their job and take action quickly. It’s close to all the center and have a lot of varieties though for shopping and food.

We checked in yesterday with my family and booked two rooms, one with a queen-size bed and another with two single beds. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our stay. Considering how hot the weather is these days, we expected the air conditioning to be cold and comfortable, but both rooms were still very warm. Sadly, that was not the only issue. The rooms and bathrooms were dirty, and the towels, pillowcases, and blankets smelled unpleasant. The rooms themselves did not smell fresh either. For such an expensive hotel, we were surprised that there were barely any amenities provided — not even complimentary slippers. The shampoo was also very harsh and made our hair feel stiff and dry. The toilet bowl was heavily stained and looked unhygienic, which made it uncomfortable to use. Because of the heat and since the air conditioner was positioned too low, we had to pull the beds closer to the aircon because my child gets sweaty easily. When we moved the beds, we were shocked to see how dirty underneath was. There was a lot of dust and trash left there. Overall, the experience was very disappointing and not worth the price we paid. We will definitely never come back here again.

Nice clean room. Quite large. Only downfall was the lift was under maintenance, but that was the only inconvenience. Oh, and a 4pm check in. That was rough as I had a baby and was forced to sit in the mall for 4 hours . Don't understand that check in time. Otherwise I actually liked the room and would use the hotel again if the need arises.

there’s a trash of tissue on cr and hair on the floor there’s ants everywhere on table even on the bed and the towel smells bad but the location of the hotel is good

It was good. It was good. I’m not complaining.
