What a lovely hotel and gorgeous compound! It used to a be a facility for breeding deer and has been converted to a homestay hotel with lots of care, love, attention to detail and quality. The pictures here on trip.com don't do it justice in real life. I actually thought, it would be one of those boutique hotels that just looks nice on pictures, but when you get there everything is a bit shabby. However, with this hotel I was pleasantly surprised - everything was of high quality, well maintained and kempt. The grounds are gorgeous and the pool was wonderful, the perfect finish to a day in the Guifeng mountains. I have been to a lot of mountains in China, like Huang Shan, Yandang Shan, Wuyi Shan etc. Even though Guifeng is small compared to other mountains, I was still captured by its beautiful scenery and happy that I chose this for a family trip. The service at the hotel was meticulous. The hotel staff are really nice and helpful, they pick you up anywhere in the scenic area. The food was also very delicious! Do take the evening meal there! They partly use their own produce for breakfast and dinner, so everything is fresh and very tasty. All in all, we had the most wonderful time there and loved every bit of this trip. It's the perfect getaway place for a relaxing weekend in nature.

Location is great, and appreciate the pick up from train station. Room size is decent, having all the basic needs. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning was working well, and water pressure for shower was great. Breakfast is extremely simple and of Chinese cuisine, I did wished there was coffee (Americano) provided though. A slight concern is when I ordered food delivery which the hotel allowed the delivery person to go up to the room to deliver, does not bring full confidence in safety and security. Another point is the staff that helped to check in are rather young and seemingly inexperienced in the hotel service, they appeared a bit cold, non-hospitable, and unapproachable. However, there is a female staff who seems to be the manager(?) who was much more hospitable, so the experience felt better with this senior staff. The hotel was not fully built when I was there, and the elevator broke down for a day due to the heavy rain, but the stay was comfortable. The public area (lobby, breakfast area) was very warm but it seems like a China culture to not turn on the air conditioner. Overall, the stay was valuable at price point, if there is improvement in hospitable service by the younger staff then it would all be even better, would recommend staying here.

La decoración del hotel es muy singular y junto a él hay un puente mirador. Es hermoso cuando las luces se encienden por la noche. Es muy agradable tomar una tetera de té y charlar en el pequeño patio por la noche. Me gusta el estilo de la habitación. También muy limpio. El estacionamiento es muy conveniente. El ama de llaves se pondrá en contacto con nosotros con antelación. El servicio fue excelente. Muy entusiasta. Cualquier pregunta puede ser respondida rápidamente. 👍

La habitación es fantástica, te permite experimentar el encanto de un pueblo antiguo. Desde la ventana puedes disfrutar de las hermosas vistas de Huangling sin salir. La habitación es rústica y tiene mucho encanto, y cuenta con todas las comodidades. El gran salón de abajo es perfecto para tomar té, relajarse y charlar, mientras que en la planta de arriba puedes practicar caligrafía o admirar desde la ventana las montañas lejanas, los campos en terrazas y la vista panorámica de Huangling. Cada rincón de la habitación está decorado con mucho esmero, es muy tranquila y descansamos de maravilla. Si vienes a un pueblo antiguo, alojarte en una casa tradicional con historia como esta es imprescindible. La inmersión es total, te sientes transportado a la vida cotidiana de una familia noble de hace cientos de años, y las fotos quedan espectaculares.

Reservé este hotel en Trip.com y la experiencia general superó con creces mis expectativas. La habitación estaba impecablemente limpia y era espaciosa y cómoda. La recepcionista fue amable y paciente, y el check-in fue eficiente y atento. Incluso nos regalaron fruta fresca de bienvenida y un refrescante té de limón y rooibos, un detalle muy agradable. El hotel ofrece servicio de transporte al área escénica de Wangxian Valley, lo que hace que las excursiones sean fáciles y sin preocupaciones. La experiencia en general fue excelente, ¡muy recomendable!

The hotel staff were sweet and helpful. They offered a tea service for guests, which was such a lovely touch. The hotel owner used to run a tea factory before opening the hotel, so the tea they serve is their own in-house production. When they served it, it wasn’t just a cup of tea handed to us, but they led us to the seating area, sat down, and prepared the tea right there for us. We could slowly sip and savor it until the flavor faded. If you come here, you can enjoy it as soon as you arrive or later (we arrived in the afternoon but saved it for the next morning). Another thing that really impressed me was the room, which was much nicer than I expected from the pictures. I was traveling with older family member, and they absolutely loved the room. It felt spacious and cozy thanks to its design and layout. At first, I thought we might have been upgraded, but it didn’t seem so—this was the original room I had booked. The hotel grounds are also quite spacious. Some of the buildings are designed with traditional Chinese architecture, and there’s a garden on a hillside at the back that took us around 30 minutes to walk through. As for the breakfast, it was decent—plenty of food, though the variety was fairly standard. Still, I’ve got to say this again—the tea served at the hotel was great. They even gave us a box of tea leaves when we checked out! If you’re coming from the train station, it’s easy to reach the hotel by bus. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and routes 2, 3, and 520 pass by. However, buses stop running fairly early, with the last ones around 5–6 PM. Conveniently, the bus stop has a QR code you can scan to track the buses in real time.

This is our third week travelling through China. Our stay at Wuli Shanshui Wenquan Dujia Jiudian. Mentioning the full name of this hotel pretty much gives you a full description of what you will likely experience. A lot of good value for money! The hotel is situated at the bank of a river and behind the river you will see beautiful forested hills. Early in the morning and late in the afternoon you will hear the birds singing. Your stay in this hotel comes with free entrance tickets to the hotpools, each with its own theme. You have the Danggui, the Red Wine, the Green Oasis, the Milk and Red Vinegar pools. We spent about 10 minutes in each of them. Relax, take time to have the body adjust to the temperature. I sat on the side with only my legs and hands under water. Later I let my body slide into the water fully. That night I slept like a baby and this morning I had a smooth soft skin, like a baby 😁 The rooms are fully equipped with all necessities and the reception was very helpful. We got a fruit basket as a welcoming gift. Unfortunately there was no restaurant service but the reception helped us to order in lunch and dinner from a nearby restaurant. All we had to do was to pick from the menu and send the order to the reception via Wechat. For a modest fee our lunch, dinner and cold beers were delivered to our room 👍 The breakfast buffet offered great variety with fresh Ginseng fruit and mini tomatoes. We liked it here so much that we booked a second night. There is so much to explore in the neighbourhood with the beautiful old villages of Likeng and Wangkou nearby. Thank you! 🙏
