The Rookery

Excellent!!-from the minute you're greeted at the door to the minute you leave, Alan is the perfect host and cannot do enough for you and Charlene is the Queen of breakfasts. Superbly clean, great location Perfect start to our 50th birthdays Thank you both!

Alan and Charlene made our family stay magical for the youngsters. We stayed the weekend while we experienced The Polar Express Train Trip - and wow! had The Rookery pulled out all the stops with their Christmas decorations!! My children were thrilled to bits and did not want to leave! We had the top floor Family Suite and loved the sea views. Lovely comfy beds, and soft furnishings, everything was clean and fresh. Great smelling toiletries and a good selection of teas, coffees and complimentary drinks in room. Breakfasts were top notch - Charlene’s cooking and Alan’s cheeky banter plus helpful local info were excellent . Would highly recommend this pjs e and will defo stay again !

Excellent B&B, very friendly owner Alan, great breakfasts. Short stroll to beach and town. Room clean and tidy, very suitable for family - our children were in an adjoining room. Shower over the bath slightly challenging to use in the loft room.

Perfect base from which to explore Swanage and the surrounding area. Two-minute walk to the beach, and a short stroll along the seafront to the shops etc. Alan is a very friendly host, our room was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. No hesitation in recommending The Rookery

Everything I needed to make a two day walking holiday comfortable including a great breakfast.

We have stayed here many times and really looked forward to our holiday. Alan is a superb host. Friendly and welcoming. It's such a great location, 3 mins walk to the beach. The kids loved it. As parents, going on holiday can be stressful, but this place allows you to feel at home and relax. It is spotless. The breakfasts are the best in swanage. We will be coming back next year for sure. Omg what can I possibly say about this wonderful B & B. Amazing, clean, value for money, spacious rooms, great facilities and most of all a fabulous host. Alan absolutely made our four day stay here a memory to cherish. Our best friends were secretly getting married at the end of the pier. Alan could not do enough for us to make it special for us all. He also had an amazing sense of humour! The breakfast had so much choice and very filling. The beds were so comfy it was hard to get up in time for breakfast. I would definitely recommend a stay here as you will not be disappointed

This was our 3rd visit to The Rookery, which has become our accommodation of choice when visiting Swanage. The rooms (we've had a different one each time) are all beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean with plenty of storage space. Breakfast is freshly cooked and they have an on site bar for the evenings. The hosts (especially Alan who manages front of house) are very friendly, helpful and accomodating.
