The overall aesthetic reflects a contemporary Chinese style, with partial preservation of traditional garden landscapes such as water features and pavilions. My stay at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove was quite satisfying overall. What I loved most was the breakfast here—the hotel offers a wide variety of high-quality options, from Chinese dim sum and Suzhou-style local delicacies to Western dishes, all meticulously prepared and exceptionally flavorful. The richness and refinement of the breakfast spread could even rival that of top-tier five-star hotels in Shanghai, providing guests with a premium dining experience. The selection was diverse, and every item was perfectly executed. The freshly made Suzhou-style noodle soup had a delicious broth, while the eggs Benedict from the Western breakfast station were authentically prepared. The fruit section featured fresh seasonal choices daily, making it enjoyable even after several days of dining there. The service attitude of the staff was truly commendable. The front desk handled check-in efficiently, and room service was quick to respond. Most of the hotel employees were young and eager to assist guests. Rachel added me on WeChat, so whenever I had any room requests, I could simply message her before heading out—very convenient and thoughtful service! The room itself was moderately sized with a practical layout, comfortable bedding, and well-scented amenities. The bathroom had strong water pressure, and the housekeeping staff kept everything spotless daily. The hotel’s location was convenient, within walking distance to several major attractions. The public areas were well-maintained, clean, and cozy—especially the lobby lounge, which was perfect for waiting or getting some work done. While it may not be the kind of jaw-dropping luxury experience, the fact that every aspect was executed flawlessly, paired with attentive and considerate service, makes it a hotel I’d gladly choose again. We had a wonderful experience at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove. This was a beautiful hotel with access to a cute shopping area. The staff were attentive. We had a room facing the river and it was a bit noisy in the evenings- otherwise no other issues.

Had a great stay at this excellent hotel. Breakfast at The Grove is something that we looked forward to during our stay. Lisa and Taurian at the front desk were very helpful. Crystal, Bisco and Sophie were extremely friendly + attentive at The Grove and Bar 168.

Very nice room (standard river view), staff mostly very friendly and competent, good location in a rather posh shopping area and 10mn walk from one of Suzhou's most famous garderns.

I visited Jiangsu, China on a business trip and planned to spend the weekend exploring the surrounding area. The main reason I chose Suzhou instead of Shanghai was the Kimpton Hotel. I was not disappointed—the quality of service fully met my expectations, and the hotel’s distinctive architecture, unlike anything I have experienced at other hotels, left me deeply impressed. Although I have stayed at other IHG Group hotels before, the service I received here stood out as truly exceptional. I would especially like to thank Host Cherry, who consistently checked in via chat to ensure I had no inconveniences, as well as the hosts (whose names I regret I cannot recall) who helped with bicycle rentals, confirming train destinations for my trip to Suzhou Station, and recommending dinner options at the restaurant. Thanks to their warm and attentive service, I had a wonderful stay. If I visit the area again in the future, I would love to return to this hotel.

The check-in service was remarkably efficient, with special recognition to Rainbow who ensured our party of three couples, including elderly parents, received accessible room upgrades. The staff's attentiveness was evident throughout our stay—they greeted us in corridors, anticipated our needs, and maintained a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. The rooms were impeccable, featuring premium bedding, turndown service, and high-end amenities including Dyson hair dryers. The quality of in-room offerings far surpassed what one would typically expect from a hotel at this price, demonstrating their commitment to excellence down to the smallest detail. The property beautifully integrates historical courtyards and buildings, creating tranquil outdoor spaces perfect for relaxation. Bar 168 became our favorite evening gathering spot for social hour and drinks, offering the perfect atmosphere to unwind after exploring the city. We were there during a heat wave and were perfectly contented to not leave the hotel at all. Breakfast was truly an event worth anticipating each morning at their black pearl rated restaurant. The diverse selection included both Western and Chinese cuisine, with standout features being the made-to-order noodles, wonton, and egg station. We particularly appreciated how staff consistently offered tea or coffee upon arrival, ensuring we always had a warm beverage to enjoy with our meal. The hotel's strategic location offers unparalleled convenience—situated directly above an MRT station and adjacent to a modern shopping area. For those seeking cultural experiences, a short 15-minute walk leads to the historical tourist district, making this property perfect for first-time visitors to Suzhou through winding neighbourhood streets. We extend our gratitude to Cherry for a smooth checkout process, and even the hotel's merchandise—particularly the keychains—provided charming mementos of our stay. The Suzhou Kimpton Bamboo Grove Hotel represents hospitality at its finest, and we cannot recommend it highly enough for travelers seeking an exceptional experience in Suzhou.

This hotel is very elegant and clean. The position is good, close to canals and see sights. The staff is incredibly friendly and speak great English. I particularly appreciated the support from one of the staff member, Vickey. She helped to book a tour, recommended restaurants and took great care of me and my family. Recommended
