The hotel is in a busy area with lots of people and heavy traffic. There is a lot to do, places to eat nearby and attractions in walking distance. At check-in, we had a bit of an issue. I booked 2 rooms. The first was a queen room with prepay online. No problems and a 200rmb deposit. The 2 bedroom suite was pay at the hotel only, which I didn’t understand because it says the rooms are nonrefundable. I preauthorize only and money is taken from my account. When I arrived, I was asked to pay an additional 800 (to include the room 656 and a deposit). I have never done a pre-auth in China, but I’m the US when you check in, that money is taken and applied to the room. After going around in circles, the front desk receptionist said no we don’t have it. That’s Trip.com. You have to pay us, and you’ll get that back later. I understand the language barrier, but it is never appropriate to start laughing and then talk to someone else in Chinese because you can’t explain clearly and laugh again while I’m standing there. That shows a lack of professionalism. So I had ¥1400+ in holding for a room. I was not happy that this was not detailed in the room listing or notifications. I called to Trip.com and the money from them was refunded the same day. They were helpful. In the future, I would suggest the PAY ONLINE option for all rooms (as they are non-refundable because of the price) to reduce confusion and notify guests of the deposit for minibar.
The hotel facilities are nice. We had the 2 bedroom family suite. The bedrooms are actually separate. Resembles a 2 bedroom apartment. It has an awesome view. The room was very clean. There were, however, some stains on the sofa cushions and a hole from a cigarette burn in the carpet. Aside from that everything was very clean. Breakfast is a large variety of Chinese food. Not much western. There’s also a deck to sit outside on the 5th floor. Overall the stay was good besides the hiccup at check in. I would stay again because it’s in a popular area.
