This is our absolute favourite place to stay! Great location, always clean and in the heart of Surfers Paradise!! Staff members- Athena, Ricardo and Janelle are wonderful, always welcoming and are a pleasure to deal with every time! Thanks for everything!!

We were delighted with our accommodation at The Morrocan. We stayed in the View Tower. I had requested a 2 bedroom ocean view with air-conditioning as high up as possible. We were not disappointed and we were actually given a three bedroom! The Inside was clean and modern and everything we needed for our stay. We had a car park for our whole stay too which was fantastic, thank you! We used the BBQ area which was in good functioning order and super clean set umongst beautiful well maintained gardens. The couple of things were that some of the windows winders were broken and needed to be replaced and the pool probably needs a little love with some tiles falling off. The water looked a little murky perhaps from faded paint? Not many things to complain about in my opinion. I would suggest getting an Oceanside apartment like we did as the nightclub on another site at night was very loud but that's no fault of the Morrocan. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Checked in. Room was disgusting and had mould everywhere, especially in the bathrooms. Rust on one of the beds. Room had a bad odour. Leaking tap. Went to the manager to ask for a new room. Showed the photos. He then told me to get a refund and find somewhere else. Absolutely rude. If there was an even lower rating I would definitely give it. Avoid this place.

The cleanliness of the facility was shockingly poor, with visible mould and an overpowering smell as soon as I entered the building. The room was dirty, with stained carpets and a musty odor. I had an extremely disappointing experience with the apartment. The staff were incredibly unhelpful and seemed indifferent to the guests' concerns, and the customer service was nonexistent. As a guest, I unfortunately had to deal with Ricardo at the reception, one of the rudest and least helpful managers I've ever encountered. Overall, Breakfree Moroccan Surfers Paradise was a complete disappointment, and I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look for alternatives. Save yourself the frustration and choose a hotel that values its guests and provides a decent level of comfort and service.

Great location, great pool. The room was outdated. The bed were on wheels. They moved constantly. So when rolling over etc the bed would move, which would wake you up. We had no airconditoner that was working.

Location is excellent. Extra charge for internet. Elevator had significant issues of not working on several days. The bedroom overhead fan did not work. Towel racks were old and bent. Pictures were missing from the walls with hooks still visible. Clean but looked worn.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights Great location walking distance to the beach and shops the rooms need a little TLC tv to small for the big wall it was on beds very comfortable NO free wifi I can’t remember the last time I stayed somewhere with free wifi

We stayed in room 274 and although the building and surrounds are well maintained the room we had was not. Only 1 of 3 A/C units was working correctly, the ceiling fan in the living room was rusted and sounded like it was going to fall apart. There are no curtains or blinds in the living room. No plug for the bath was provided and the taps were very hard to close. The toilet in the main ensuite constantly runs. The washing machine needs a service. There are unpainted patches in the walls. The A/C compressors on the balcony are completely rusted. The window winders are rusted. Overall the apartment is in desperate need of a renovation and does not meet the standards of an Accor property. We had no WiFi during our stay and the Foxtel box provided wasn't connected so could not be used. At $600AUD per night during the peak season, basic functionality of the fixtures should be a bare minimum. What should have been a great experience was let down by the shoddy quality. The view is amazing but is not worth it for the room it comes with at that price.

At a third of the price we paid, it would STILL be pushing it to be considered good value. The ONLY good points are the relatively constant breeze, the location relative to the beach and shops and the pool area. Literally EVERYTHING else was rubbish. Before even opening the door to the room I noticed the handle was a plain old $10 knob from Bunnings. At over $600 per night, this was not a good start. Opening the door, I was greeted with obvious holes patched in the walls, rust and flaked paint. This was even before stepping inside. Once inside the maze of walls was very claustrophobic. The layout is nonsensical. The tv in the bedroom had no reception, the tv in the loungeroom was flakey, the wifi, even though it comes as a dedicated device which isn't shared with other rooms, was completely useless. It was barely capable of allowing you to read email. Needless to say, we all used our phone data during the stay, even to stream the tv. In addition to all of this, neither of the bathroom doors were lockable. In the shower, the tamper-proof bottles appeared to contain the same product for both bodywash and shampoo, though the conditioner was different. One of the cupboard doors in the main room would get stuck when trying to open it. The only air conditioner was in the loungeroom and it barely had any impact on the temperature of the room. Luckily, opening the doors and windows allowed a cool breeze through. The bedsheets appeared to be stained. I checked the air conditioner filter and it looked reasonably clean (until I checked the photo). Probably because it didn't really work properly. In our building, there is no obvious way to get to the pool area. Our first attempt involved going to the basement and ascending through a swamp-smelling, fetid stairwell into a side gate to the pool. When returning to the room we noticed a path running beside the building and decided to follow it. It led to a couple of doors which couldn't be unlocked or continued straight onto the street. From there we could walk 50m then enter back into the basement of the building and return to our room. This is then how we travelled to and from the pool for the rest of the stay, until on the third day, I thought there had to be a better way. Investigating the doors from the first day, I noticed around the corner there was a third door. What I originally thought was a unit, was a hallway with a door to the path. So, the most efficient way to the pool is to go to the first floor in the lift, exit to the right, go through the glass door and follow the path around to the right. This information would've been great to know up front. At the very least, having signs anywhere/everywhere would help. After some exploration, we eventually found the indoor pool. Nobody was in there and it didn't take long to realise why. The room is very stuffy and humid and even regular talking echoes so loud it was unbearable. We left after a few minutes and went back to the main pool. When it cam
