Sejours and Affaires Strasbourg Kleber

Despite instructions saying checkin started at 3, we arrived at 3 to find a sign saying reception closed at noon on Saturday & would reopen on Monday. Apparently we were supposed to have received an email giving us an entry code & a code for a lockbox with the key to the room. A French couple had the same problem and were able to reach someone who spoke English who gave us the information we needed. Got to the room to find that the metal ***** between the hall & the bathroom was loose with screws sticking up, the lights in the hallway & over the sink didn’t work, the small table was unstable, and dirty dishes & glassware. There was no one to talk to until Monday morning. On Monday we complained. Receptionist was very sympathetic & helpful. She offered us free breakfast for one day, confirmed that no email was sent & apologized. We said we would prefer an upgrade to breakfast, but she said the hotel was very full & that might not be possible. She would send the technician to repair everything except the light over the sink-they were out of bulbs and couldn’t get more. As the technician was busy with emergencies, we were ultimately given the same room on another floor where everything except the light over the sink worked, but there was a piece of broken particle board near the bathroom sink. Both rooms had a water heater above the toilet that was a hazard. We have enjoyed other Sejours, but we would never stay here again & rec others avoid despite great location.

Merci à Edouard pour l'accueil. Très efficace pour améliorer tout ce qui peut l'être. Par contre l'équipement, sanitaires, rangements, prises électriques, meubles, doit être amélioré. Autre difficulté, bien situé en coeur de ville, cet hôtel devient difficile d'accès pendant le Marché de Noël, en raison des filtrages de sécurité. Globalement bien pour le rapport qualité/prix.

La chambre lit double est fonctionnelle . Literie confortable. Petite télé. Loin du lit. L hotel est super bien situé et calme.petites supérettes proches. Le personnel est gentil serviable et à votre disposition, ça fait la difference.

Kamer was niet helemaal schoon. Viezigheid in de lamp, veel stof en wat spetters in de badkamer. Wel een fijne ruime kamer. Parkeren bij het hotel was fijn en goedkoop. Voortaan wel fijn om vooraf te weten dat de lift defect is. Ontbijt stelt helemaal niks voor, advies om bij L’atelier te ontbijten.

Pros: 1. Central, easily walkable to all central sights 2. Cheap 3. Staff friendly 4. Kitchen facilities Cons: 1. Does not look like the photos at all! 2. Pillows very uncomfortable 3. No air con, a small fan in the room which was not enough 4. Not enough plugs - particularly no plugs in kitchen area so we ended up having to boil the kettle on the floor and use the coffee machine on the floor plugged in next to the bathroom 5. No housekeeping so you have to empty your own rubbish at the end of the stay 6. No safe and the door lock was dodgy Overall it’s basic, student accommodation. We thought we were booking a serviced apartment which was definitely not the case.

This place is a bargain and well located. While it is actually half student housing and feels like a hostel with very limited services and an absence of charm, who cares? My room was big, recently remodeled, clean and quiet. For the price, it’s great. Some plumbing work needed (faucets dangling, shower head adjustments needed) and plates and such were not stellar quality, but again, for the price and convenience of location easy to get over. Very clean, comfy bed and so quiet. I would advise this for stay of more than a day. Kitchenette and little table to eat were very welcome. Nice staff when they are there.
