We had a lovely stay with this kind young family. Our favourite part was eating a delicious dinner with the family around their wood fire, we will fondly remember this. (Make sure to reserve dinner with them as the restaurants in the village close at night in winter, also it's much nicer to eat as a family). We communicated with translation apps and learned a lot about the village life and culture. The wife kindly opened her shop out of hours for us too. Remember to bring thermal clothes for the mountain at night time. In the morning we found a delicious and modern coffee shop in the square with the pond. In December the welcome ceremony was at 11am at the village entrance with a show at 11.30am outside the museum. Thank you again to this lovely family for hosting us, we had a fabulous time together.

We were astonished that it was so difficult to go from Xijiang Miao Village to Langde Upper Miao Village by public transport. Luckily we didn’t give up & were so glad to have made it here. We were fascinated by the authentic feel & culture that permeates this village. The homestay offers newly furnished smart rooms. This implies that the room is clean & well equipped with the latest in technology as well as the necessary amenities for a good night’s sleep. Entry to the room was also digitally controlled. Furthermore the homestay was very accessible as it’s right across the road from where the bus stops. Langde Upper Miao Village is truly a not-to-be-missed destination with its fantastic guests’ welcoming & drum performances. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting & even happier to have stayed at Langde Runisuoyuan Homestay!

Me quedé 3 noches en el pueblo de Xijiang Miao y me alegro de elegir este lugar como mi alojamiento. En la llegada, el jefe ofrece una visión muy completa del pueblo y sus atractivos y le anima a contactar con ella a través de WeChat con cualquier pregunta! El marido también recomendó un restaurante de caldo de pote cercano para la cena donde conocí a un hermano y hermana de Chongqing, que condujo a una noche borracha de comida especia, karaoke, y me caminaba por el pueblo sin zapatos o una camiseta 😂 - 10/10 cena ¡Recomendación! La habitación era espaciosa, temprana y tenía todas las características necesarias de una habitación de hotel. El agua está disponible (no todos los hoteles lo hacen!) y también están contentos de ofrecer algunos de sus deliciosos vinos de arroz :) La noche anterior a la salida, pedí información sobre los billetes de autobús a Kaili y el marido incluso la reservaba en mi nombre, tan útil!

Ubicado al final de la parte alta de Langde, a pocos pasos del aparcamiento del autobús turístico. El edificio da a un aparcamiento. El hotel está construido en madera, con un estilo muy distintivo. La habitación estaba limpia. El único problema son las toallas: no proporcionan toallas de mano, sino desechables, imposibles de usar después de la ducha. En una habitación para cuatro, teníamos dos toallas del tamaño de una toalla de cara y dos del tamaño de media toalla de playa... y la ducha también necesitaba una cortina o una caja para evitar salpicaduras.

Excellent room facilities and service provided by Xiao Wen. Room: very comfortable with all the necessary amenities at tip top conditions. You can control some of the facilities by asking Xiao Du. Very new hotel that started operation in 2025 I believe. Service: Xiao Wen went well all the way to make us feel comfortable staying there. Send and fetch us to the Miao Village North gate promptly every time we ask him. Thank you so so much. Location: it is only about 3 mins drive to the Miao Village. Very near but impossible to walk ya. Will definitely recommend friends to stay here if they are visiting the Miao Village.

It was our first time visiting here, and we booked a homestay run by a local family. We spent two wonderful nights in this traditional Miao stilt house. The host met us near the North Gate and looked after us incredibly well throughout our stay. They introduced us to local Miao customs and traditions. Even with the language barrier, their warmth never faded. They treated us to classic local sour fish hot pot and let us try traditional ethnic costumes. Every night, we admired the breathtaking sea of twinkling lights covering thousands of Miao households right from our private balcony. What touched us most was the hostess—she even escorted us out of the scenic area at 2 a.m. and helped us get a taxi to the airport. We are truly grateful! Wishing the hosts every prosperity! Among all these countless glowing lanterns, there is one light that feels like I lit myself.

Mi familia, este hotel es muy bueno! Es limpio e higiénico y es muy conveniente moverse. No es necesario escalar una montaña. Puedes ir a cualquier lugar de la calle principal. Fui muy exigente al elegir este hotel para este viaje, ¡jaja! La señora de recepción es muy amable y el servicio es muy bueno. Elegiré este hotel la próxima vez que venga.

The boss is friendly and helpful. He helped us drag our bags from the North Gate entrance of Xijiang Miao Village to the spring stay. The spring stay is near the Observation Deck. The view is fantastic. But I have a note to the Xijiang Miao Village Tourism Board. The East Gate was closed, and the electric car service to the Observation Deck is temporarily suspended due to road repairs. Such information should be updated on their website for travellers to have better planning. I chose this spring stay mainly for the fantastic view as well as easy reach to the spring stay by taking the electric car. However, due to the East Gate closure, we were dropped off at the North Gate. But credit to the boss, he came down and helped us bring our bags up to the spring stay. Thank you, boss.
