Albergo Il Cacciatore

I was thrilled to return to Spello taking 7 ladies with me. We all had our own rooms with lovely views of Mt Subasio and the olive groves on the hills and valleys. The staff was so very accommodating and helpful..,rooms were cleaned daily. Beds were quite comfortable, soft linens. Convenient storage closet with shelves and hanging space.. We stayed 8 nights..Breakfast every morning with a variety of fruit, breads & pastries, yogurts, juices, cappuccini e espresso. The terrace was so beautiful and in late afternoons we enjoyed snacks with wine & Prosecco we purchased at the local wine shop..They don’t have bar service but supplied glassware, small plates & napkins for our happy hours.. Any request we had was cheerfully accommodated.. Overall we were all very pleased with our stay.. The location is ideal..easy 2-3 min walk to restaurants & shops, a great bakery just down the street.. Il Cacciatore is exactly the type of small town hotel I appreciate when coming to Italy, clean, comfortable..historic..staffed and owned by local people who care about their guests.. When I return to Spello I will most certainly choose to stay at il Cacciatore..

I booked this kind of blind when my family decided to eschew hot, crowded, expensive Florence (where we’ve visited many times) for a small hill town. Research led me to Spello and this charming hotel. Giada was the best! She helped us with parking and restaurants and even changed our original booking from family room to two separate rooms when she saw how tall and oversized we are. Friendly and gracious, she made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. The view off the terrace is breathtaking. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The rooms spacious and comfy. This is not a fancy hotel; it’s better. You bring your own wine—the local is amazing!—and sit on the terrace before dinner and feel more relaxed than you have in too long. Our only regret is we that we stayed for just two nights.

Super location in the most beautiful little city. The staff and everyone there gave super service. They spoke very good english and very friendly and kind. Large and very nice room. Everything clean. Nice bath with a bit tricky shower. No fridge. Good breakfast at the beautiful terrace. Also a nice bar.

Modest hotel with great view Staff were helpful and served basic breakfast with excellent cappuccino However don’t think that bathroom grout had ever been cleaned Despite there being many rooms available an upgrade was not offered and it would have been truly appreciated given our long stay

Situato nel centro storico, con possibilità di accesso auto per scaricare i bagagli, poi si parcheggia a 5 minuti a piedi. Bei locali comuni per la colazione, anche in terrazza panoramica. La camera ed il bagno ampi e puliti, di recente ristrutturazione. Buona la colazione. Grande cordialità da parte del personale. Ottimo soggiorno

Accoglienza professionale ma soprattutto famigliare. Bravissima Giada, professionale e scrupolosa e squisiti i signori Cruciani, proprietari, che da tanti anni si occupano di ospitalità: i loro racconti sugli ospiti più illustri (Antonioni, Coppola...) ci riportano a tempi in cui l'ospitalità era famiglia e non lusso.
